  1. I have for sale 1x Bandai DX Chogokin VF-25A + VF-25G Super Packs

Has been transformed from fighter to battroid, and back to fighter to be displayed briefly. It is now in storage since I moved home (I still have not unpacked any of my collectables since moving in....). Comes with original box and all accessories. Box is in decent condition, with some wear and tear from being in storage.

I'm located in Melbourne, Australia. Cash in person for local pick up from CBD also fine.

    $245 AUD posted within Australia.
$205 AUD cash on pick up.
$300 AUD posted EMS to US.

Let me know if you're interested via PM.

    SOLD

  2. Selling my Bandai METAL BUILD Aile Strike Gundam purchased from HLJ.

I'm based in Melbourne Australia, and can arrange cash on pick up or posted to mostly anywhere.

Payment also through invoiced PayPal to provide buyer and seller protection.

Within Australia: $415 AUD shipped or $370 AUD cash on pick up.

Rest of World: $465 AUD shipped EMS to US. I can provide an estimate for other destinations.

    Moved to eBay

  3. 1/48 VF-1D with Hikaru orange flight suit and Minmei would be fantastic. It would be a dream if they included a damaged arm you could part swap.

Oh no, it's the slippery slope I was worried about! Buying too many hero units!

    My wishlist :

    • VF-1S TV Hikaru with Super pack (displayed fighter)

    • VF-1D (displayed gerwalk, Minmei in hand)

    • Long shot : VF-1S Hikaru gerwalk with no arms, busted canopy and Misa rescued from Alaska base. Haha :p

The argument that this will be too big isn't that valid considering the VF-31 is only 1.5CM shorter than the DX VF-1J. If you have room for the whole squadron of Delta then this shouldn't be too much of an issue. :)

  4. It's funny that some of you ended up with 2 in cart. I wanted 2 in cart and had to change the qty to 2. :p

I'm surprised I was able to preorder pretty easily from Amiami and they didn't sell out in 2 secs which seems to be norm from my observations of previous Amiami PO madness.

There were some moments of slow server responses during the checkout process, which made me nervous.

I was also nervous my friend wasn't going to secure his Amiami PO too, but luckily it went through without error or cart jacking.

I knew Amazon JP allowed buying video games in recent years but did not know they now allowed toys. A whole new world of hurt for the wallet.

I did just receive my NeoGeo mini from Amazon JP though.

OMG! I totally forgot about the NeoGeo Mini. When is International version out? Sorry off topic!

    Wow, that sucks

Our government somehow strong armed many international retailers to apply for tax collecting as part of GST that all Australians should be paying for purchases. Even a small retailer like Ami is collecting tax for Australian purchases. All my orders now have 10% added tax including shipping! The main purpose is to reduce importing purchasing that is hurting our local retail as our pricing is much more expensive than overseas. It will also be a big chunk of money in the government's pocket now too. :(

the Amazon link won't let me process my order to Australia.. and shipping to Aus is more than 1200..

It's because us Aussies no longer have the option of buying from foreign Amazon any more. We are only allowed to purchase internationally via Amazon AU's global portal. International Amazon sites can't be forked dealing with getting and ABN and doing quarterly BAS etc. They just block all AU addresses. Thanks Australian government...

I hate to be all doom and gloom but I believe "picking up the pace" in the face of competition that has an edge in every conceivable metric is just a way to go out of business very quickly. If I were at Arcadia, I'd be making the push to pick up a new license that Bandai doesn't care about... like they didn't care about Macross 15 years ago. Then I would just pop off a Macross reissue as demand dictated so I knew it would just be printing money.

As much as I'd like Arcadia to pick up the pace, there really can't compete on equal terms with Bandai. I remember this was discussed a while back, that if Bandai ever released a competing VF-1 to Arcadia's VF-1, Arcadia would be in trouble.

I think the competition from Bandai is good, and it would be fantastic to see Arcadia spurred on to improve their VF-1 products and engineering, but they're just so small in comparison. It would be sad if they did abandon their ver 2 VF-1 line.

Are people really burnt out on the VF-1? It's the venerable design that I holds a special place in the heart of all Macross fans. Similar to the F-14 Tomcat. It just never gets old.

  9. I'm completely in love with this! I'm actually going to skip on the MB Strike Gundam and DX YF-19 now for 2 to 3 of these. Look out for my sale posts if I can secure enough VF-1Js.

I've never collected VF-1 heroes as it's an expensive slippery slope of getting all the SDFM characters - I did that when I bought many Yamato VF-1 ver1 toys back in the day (sold them all). It's been my policy to only collect the obscure military looking units (like the brownies, Angel Birds and Cavaliers), but I just can't ignore how awesome this Hikki is.

This is the first time I've ever wanted 3 to display in all 3 modes.

I'm assuming this will do very well for Bandai, and a VF-1S will be on the cards in the future, and I'll probably get one VF-1S with the (probably web store exclusive) Super packs to display in fighter mode.

I wonder if they would release the VF-1S Fokker, and then later a VF-1S Hikki with super packs? This would be canon to the TV series and the only difference is the pilot name tampoed on the plane and pilot figure (can we wish for molded pilot figure of Misa with Hikki helmet sitting on Hikki's lap like when he saves her from Alaska base?). :p

In fact it would be awesome if Bandai included a Mars base Misa that you could place in the valk's hands - posed stretching out and call out "RIBER!!!!!"

  10. just a heads up, with the recent PO announcement of the DX VF-1J, if I can secure 2 to 3 POs, I will be cancelling my PO for my DX YF-19 at HLJ, but if there are any Australian collectors who still need to secure a preorder, I can hold on to it and have it shipped directly to you.

NOTE: I can't ship HLJ items to countries other than Australia.

I'll post in the for sale section if I am successful at securing my POs.

  12. That is awesome. I love the GMs, and Blue Destiny-1 is one of those special ones for me.

Dang it's coming out soon and money is all allocated to MB Strike and DX YF-19. :(

I could consider giving up DX YF-19 since I already have an Arcadia YF-19 and DX VF-19Adv. Tough decisions!

  13. Amiami is hit and miss for me. Long time ago I preordered the Monster Hunter 3rd Portable PSP console from them, and when it came to ship they cancelled my order because they were not allowed to ship an item with a lithium ion battery due to postal rules - the battery was declared on the shipping documents. I was given a full refund, but they were not willing to help at all to get the item to me. So disappointed. I was lucky and managed to order it from another smaller retailer for a little bit more than Amiami.

The main disappointment was that a work colleague was able to have their preorder fulfilled by Amiami for the same item, and only because they were shipping a lot of different items, so the battery was not declared on the shipping documents.

I don't think I have ordered from Amiami since, but I do browse their site all the time. Ahhh I love window shopping :p
