looks like most are now just coasting along. still watching the series just in case something interesting happens, but not really hoping for much. and sadly, this is being reflected in the way we post in this thread.

Ok, i am realizing this a bit late, but does this all mean that Cavil already knew beforehand where the Galactica fleet was (since he supposedly sent Boomer to the fleet)? if so,why all the foreplay? and, in the first place, how did he know? (is there another spy aboard the galactica fleet that we don't know about?)

Read the book first. makes watching the movie a more fulfilling experience, imo. sure the book will spoil you for the movie's reveal, but how is that any different from the movie spoiling you for the book's finale?

in some robotech circles, i'm hearing that they've declared Gubaba as a Robotech God already.

Exactly what i thought when i watched it. Kara thought she was abandoned, but it was cavil's fault all along. unbenknownst to Cavil, Daniel was years ahead of everyone, already producing an offspring before anyone else thought it possible. and he just had to kill him, the idiot. so all this brouhaha over Hera being the first human-cylon offspring, when the real Slim Shady was just inside Galactica from the very beginning? haha. brilliant.

godsdamnit that was an amazing episode!! Damn boomer got everyone. poor chief. i can still remember the look on his face when he discovered that boomer took Hera. oh boy, Boomer's back to being a cuthroat bitch big time! this episode is a perfect set-up for the last few episodes. it's gonna get crazy from hereon. p.s. if a raptor activating its FTL inside Galactica could potantiallty destroy the ship, you'd think there's a safety override from the bridge. oh what the hell, i'm all for drama.

If you read back to the OP, the pilots were ranked based on the peak of their pilot skills. DD and roy battled to stalemate during the macross 0 timeframe, but i think most of considered Roy's SW1 stint as his peak. during that time, Roy would have been better than DD.

i agree. that transition was brilliant. I also loved the part where adama and tigh were drinking, and adama was saying something like: "so you five are finally together again. any grand revelations that came up?" yeah, we'd think so, huh? Adama might as well have faced the screen and winked! brilliant.

When he said "they gave aid and comfort", i think he we was just being sarcastic. or he just wanted to point out that the trial was a farce, so he didn't want to play along and try to defend himself.

I agree. now that Ellen is officially the 5th cylon, all we're left with is the mystery of Kara. well, she has to be something! and so conveniently, they put in this new cylon Daniel. Sure they said that the Daniel line was completely destroyed. but if that's all there is, then what's the point in even mentioning it? so, with 6 eps remaining, and the kara question of being DEAD (and also of being prophesied to bring death to everyone) is still left unanswered, all of a sudden we discover there's a missing cylon. I think Daniel will play a role in this somewhere along the line. And as for Kara, either she's related to Daniel in some way, or she's related to the one true god that's been playing the strings. Either way, she has to be something.

Good summary. pretty much what i got from watching ep 15. but i don't think it was a mess. IMHO, it was a fine way to tie everything up. could have been much much messier, but i think they managed to fit many pieces of the puzzle well enough to make it sound believable and give viewers that "so THAT'S how it all happened!" moment. also, it's amazing how much they fit all those infos and revelations into one single episode without sounding like a convoluted storyboard discussion. and all without flashbacks. kudos to the writers. this episode really took me for a fine ride and i enjoyed every minute of it.

agreed. and not just sheryl. i predict that sheryl would be mentioned in the same breath as ranka. and vice versa. i think that's the way they were portrayed by the end of frontier. like a magic johnson-larry bird thing. Future macross work: boy 1: Ranka lee is so cute, how could you not love her? boy 2: me, i'll always go for Sheryl. man, she is sooo hot. boy 3: Well they're all yours. im going for that hot chick that's always with either one of them. you know, the long blue haired one. man, she is sizzling... boy 1: ...... boy 2: ...... (looking at boy 1) um... should you tell him, or should I?

wow, Minmay and Sheryl are tied! and even here, Ishtar still doesn't exist.

Wow! i didn't even know that they adapted Tale of Genji. Thanks for the info! Yeah, very much so. i'm guessing that the anime series really made it worse, since it showed her complete background and her relationship with kagura. so clannad is actually good?

Finally finished watching Ga-Rei Zero. cool series! and now, since the anime is apparently a prequel to the manga, i'm off to read it.
