Just putting up a poll to see which period would you want to live in the Macross Universe..........

I dunno, never seen the edited episode...in the original Japanese episode everything happens on Earth with Hitomi and Van arriveing in Gaia at the very end...one minute they are in the track stadium, Van shows up chaseing the dragon...Hitomi and friends flee to some sort of shrine, Van kills the dragon takeing it's heart...Hitomi and Van get transported to Gaia...when they arrive it's night...Hitomi is alone and stumbles upon that old hermit dude (what was his name?) who becomes interested in her pendiant, Van shows up to fight him off and the episode ends sorta on a cliff hanger as it seems the two of them are surrounded by monsters that come out from the nearby woods (as episode 2 starts it turns out those "monsters" are the friendly wolf/dog people (I can't recall what they were named) who end up takeing Hitomi and Van back to his castle) oh darn...!.i think mine is the edited version, i do not remember the hermit in the first episode. The hermit only appear around episode 2 or 3 when Hitomi first meet Allen.

I remember playing the Mudrock in PS2 game "Mobile Suit Gundam : Lost War Chronicles", Mudrock is a extremely well armoured but slow mecha.

Just out of curosity, this is a question on the Escaflowne series, I bought the original DVD set that came together with the black escaflowne figure from Bandai USA. Would Episode 1 from that set be the edited one or the original Japanese TV version ?

I understand that valks in the anime are painted in different colours to differentiate the main characters and the CFs as well as the types of fighters. But if the valks are painted black, it would be great camo in space wouldn't it. Even though the colour black absorbs a lot of heat, I am sure the "overtechnology" would overcome this problem.

With 1/48 max and milia coming out, it is not only going to hurt my wallet but I have to figure out where to put the boxes. I think maybe Yamato should redesign to boxes, the boxes are way to big..........

well i am 30 I have five 1/60s, two 1/72s and five 1/48s

I wish the game can be a bit more realistic, if I plounged the valkyrie into a zentradi battleship or if I hit SDF-1 at high speed, I expect my valkyrie to explode no matter how strong the armour is.

I think another criteria to meet is that your hit rate must be high as well, you must not waste your missles....but as long as the combination of low damages, high hit rates, high kills, finishing the game in good time resulting in a score of 40,000 and above would normally get you a "S". Regards

Just kill everything, and then fly to the target. Actually, I dont even think you need to fly to the target, just kill everything. just fly in the same direction as Roy (ahead or behind does not matter), after a few seconds you find some Q-raus, after you defeat them, you would be able to see the Meltran's battlecruiser appearing, you would have to destroy its main gun in the centre of the battleship before accomplishing your mission. sorry I think I got confused when I was posting my earlier post. I got mixed the movie first stage and a later stage when the Meltran's battlecruiser appeared. My appologies again.

To get the Max VF-1A beat "Pine Salad" with an S ranking and then go back beat TV missions 1-5 with an A ranking or higher to get a Max VF-1J. Use the Max VF-1J on Pine Salad to unlock Miria's VF-1J. I got an A ranking that time to get it. Hi, Thanks for the tip, I finally got Max's VF-1A, but when I use Max's VF-1A in Stage P1 to P5 with rank of A or S, I could not get Max's VF-1J. On some of the space stages I was using the Max's Super Valkyrie VF-1A, or am I suppose to use the normal VF-1A only, is that why I could not get the VF-1J ?

If I remembered correctly the Japanese were still using the three planes formation in WW2 (I maybe wrong), probably that is why Kawamori san adopted that formation.

yes they tend to fly in groups of three now that you mentioned it, probably this UN Spacy standard fighter formation ? And you are right, modern fighter planes usually fly in pairs.

Hi there does anyone know how I can get a Max's VF-1A ? So far I have finished the tv and movie version of the game and I managed to get "S" rank for stages P1 to P 5 via the free battle stages and I was given Hikaru's VF-1J. Still only managed to get A rank in P6 so far (Those 3 zentradie spies piloting the scout ship is a pain in the ass).

try not to get any damages then you would achieve a "S" rank. And yes a higher hit rates also helps.

Hi Guys, I was playing this "movie" mission, where there is a cutscene where the "Appolo" team went into a Zentradi's battleship. After the scene, you pilot a battroid through the various chambers in the battleship, I made all the way to the end and then I am required to turn back to chase after a purple target indicator but I was blown to bits before I reach it. Anyone know what thats mission about, I do not remember any scenes in the DYRL simmilar to this mission. Regards

Hi thee, I was not using a VF-1A, I was using a VF-1J with blue paint scheme to fight Miria in the Pineapple Salad stage via the free battle option and I won but I did not get any new cards. I suppose you cannot get any cards from the free battle option.

Are you able to get Miria's VF-1J if just play the Free Battle stages with the corresponding paints or do we have to play through the whole stage again? I beat Miria's Q-Rau in the Free Battle with A rank last night using Max's paint scheme but did not get any cards. Regards

any differences in terms of performance between the respective VF-1s (Hikaru's, Roy's and Max's) or are they all the same ?
