will an .ass file of the Gattai sub be forthcoming for ep7 here in MWorld? I'd rather just dl that like i have for the previous eps that way I can just integrate it to the current Raw I have now. I don't really want to add yet another version of the episode as I currently have 3 already in my HDD.

If Macross Plus is to go by, then Earth is all well and good and has been repopulated. The whole purpose of the massive colonization fleets is for propagation of the (human) species and to avoid a repeat of the tradgedy that is Space War One whereby which the human race was almost wiped out of existence save for a few survivors on earth and on SDF-1. Space War One taught the humans of the time that should earth ever come under attack again and perhaps vaporized, the human race would continue to exist now that they have spread out to the far reaches of the galaxy.

The Shinsen Raw works when I got it off of Tokyo Toshokan. Its going at a snail's pace though now at around 10kbps but I'm assuming that's cos of the low swarm count right now. It should pick up a little later as more people complete the leech.

Just the fact that at this point in time, if you're a Macross fan, its great to be alive! Its been so long since a Macross series was in the air (I don't count M7 cos at the time of release it wasn't easily accessible to peeps outside Japan) and to be able to follow it on a weekly basis as it progresses. Wether the series eventually excells or tanks is irregardless to the fact that for now, Macross fans have a Macross series to watch every week. I'll be really sad when the series finally ends in a few months time cos that would mean another void for who know how long. Right now I'm just soaking up the moment and enjoying the ride.

The entire ending battle alone makes DYRL a winner. I can keep repeating that section on my Media player and never get sick of it.

Also the place where they were having coffee with the wierd looking UFO shape overhead is actually the Fashion Show Mall here in Las Vegas.

I'm still bothered at the fact that 4 episodes in and we still haven't caught a glimpse (outside of the opening theme) of the ship that has the title of the series for its namesake. Show us the friking Macross already for crying out loud.

Not to mention in 00, within 4 episodes, they've already recycled some of the action shots. With M:F, 4 episodes in and I've yet to see them recycle a shot during the action sequences. Show me a still from any of the M:F and I'll be able to tell which episode it was, show me a still from 00 and I won't be able to tell which episode it was used for.

Anyone care to gander a guess at the length of time for the Micronization process to and from Size in Macross:F setting. It apparently seems that for Zentrans to walk around Frontier's civilian sector they need to be in Micronized form. I wonder how long it takes to get them back to giant size? I mean what if an alert comes out and the Vajra attack without warning (which so far seems to be their m.o.), will the Pixie squad be left out and have to wait so they can fit into their Q-rau's while the rest of the SMS sortie out? Or I wonder if they can retro-fit the Q-raus so they can be piloted in Micronized form.

I too shuffle between MPC and VLC. Mainly I use MPC too which is included in CCCP. I do notice though that audio has a higher max volume in VLC than in MPC. I too can watch most .mkv's as long as they are not 1280X720. If its in the lower 480 resolution then its no problem for me. When the RAW's come out and are in the high res .avi format, I use SUPER to downscale it to 480 and .mp4 h.264 format and watch it through MPC. I like it in mp4 so I can also play my vids via my I-phone for those times when I'm bored. I am screwed however when a video comes out in .mkv at 1280 as I can't seem to get SUPER to downscale those and my PC can't handle it... recent example are the flurry of Evangelion 1.01 releases that have been coming out. Fortunately I was able to find a 480 subtitled avi version otherwise it would have been a sad weekend.

There's a subtitled .srt file available over at AniRena. My Problem is that its for the [Zero-Raws] .mkv version. Problem with the Zero-Raw ver is that its in 1280 which my PC can't handle so I got the [DVD] 704X480 version available over at Tokyotoshokan... problem with that one is that it doesn't sync with the .srt file of [Zero-Raws]

I for one have blocked-off the Spiritia aspect of this out of my head by simply not getting caught up in the Mac7 hoopla. I have not watched Mac7 for reasons I don't want to expound here. As such from my standpoint looking at M:F... all it is to me is that the Vajra are simply after the Macross Frontier fleet itself. From my perspective it just so happens that Lanka and Sheryl seem to be at the wrong place at the wrong time for a Close Encounters of the Third Kind moment with the intent of destruction. Until futher plot points are developed (based on the anime, I don't read the manga), I just find the Vajra an angry race bent on destruction, perhaps cos the M:F is trampling on their turf. It keeps things simple

Maybe we've been mistranslating all this time and what the creators originally intended the translation of the Q's was Quedalin-Rho (as in the Greek alphabet Rho) somehow lost to the Japanese when converted to the western vernacular which makes sense for the Q-Lambda.
