  1. Mine has a stiff backpack hinge so unfortunately when I was putting it back into Fighter mode I toyed with it a bit and the flap behind the nozzles came off because eventually the hinge broke. Strange thing realy, on some of my Valks the same part is stiff and pops when you flip it up for transformations and others it isn't. Just need to glue it on, just wonder what is the right kind. As long as it's in fighter it's fine.
  2. I wanna see tail hooks on VF-1s since they did launch off of carriers. That's one of the things I like about the VF-0.
  3. SUPER obvious on F-22s and EA-6Bs. On F-18s you can quite tell really, I haven't seen it at all(rainbow or gold), even with the new block 30s we got. Anyways, I noticed my M&M 1Js have the most tinting out of everything. I like it.
  4. Definitely digging the tailhook. VF-1s should have them too since they did launch from carriers like the Prometheus.
  5. That's what I want to know. Mine are just fine, maybe the paint coming off a little(collar mounted lights?) if you're rough on the transformation? They are just fine to me.
  6. I think I'm inclined to buy the kit as there is no other way to get this armored beast.
  7. Fortunately my SV-51 didn't suffer like others upon transformation. I left Nora in Battroid since then. DD is in fighter mode still. Anyways, any tips on what adhesive is good for glueing on the small socket for the flap on the 1/60 VF-1 backpack? I stripped off the armor and transforming it back to Fighter mode it broke off after I brought the backpack up and down several times. For some reason on some of my Valks they pop and on others they don't, unfortunately this pop was not a good one by far. At least it's not something critical to the transformation so it still looks nice in fighter mode. And also, once it's glued on, how to get the flap back in without breaking off the repaired piece??
  8. I personally like the blue tint rather than the super bright white. The original scheme is much whiter than the Yamato TV Valks.
  9. Haha, man that must suck. Anyways, I had the same problem with the radar package and I just put it on backwards and left it at that. I don't transform the thing anyways. Looks perfectly fine with a pair of micro missiles and 4 reaction missiles.
  10. No exploding arms or shoulders.
  11. Same here, my left leg keeps falling off on the 11C. my V.2 VF-1s are perfect with no breakage of any arms. the YF-19 DN holds up a lot better than they YF-19. You can fly it around and it won't come apart like the regular one and looks even better with FPs. I don't have much to say about the 21/22, never transformed my 21 and left my 22 in Battroid after a few test transformations. for some reason I couldn't get the swing bar to get into my VF-0S re-issue so I put it back in fighter mode, any suggestion on what I'm doing wrong? My lone 1/48 VF-1 is awesome.
  12. Ho ho, I loathe my VF-25S Armored. Like others have said, nothing fits quite right and causes more frustration than anything, then it's a POS when transforming it. And I know some people that argue it's better than a Yamato. NO THE HELL IT IS NOT.
  13. Tv white like the TV white Valks. Now all thats left is to make a 1/60 Hikaru TV VF-1A thread so Yamato can pay attention to more consumer demand.
  14. Unfortunately I missed that window thanks to bad medical practice. But I'm sure they'll have another sale, it's inevevitable. Waiting for a nice sale from HLJ sometime soon. I could care less about shipping from any shop based in Japan. No matter how big some of my orders from HLJ were when they had their super holiday sale on Macross, shipping was always 600 yen.
  15. I ordered mine of AmiAmi, helluva lot cheaper than HLJ and OD. Haven't checked Hobby Search, I'll probably order something from them next. I finally had a reason to open a Paypal account. Haha. Can't wait to get it. I just ordered the regular one. It seems to me like both come with Roy after reading HLJ's description. I just have to order some TV version FAST Packs and take Hikaru out of the 1J to make it post-Focker.
  16. Well, I pre-ordered mine. I picked the one with the Ranka noseart. Seems expensive, but I might as well ensure I get it and take another chance with the DX line. Not too impressed with the VF-25s and I'm waiting for the right time to buy the VF-27. How big was Yamatos Koenig Monster when it was released a miilion years ago???
  17. The only thing I like about Bandai is the packaging. The VF-25 box is way smaller than Yamato's with or without FAST packs. On another note, I attempted to transform my VF-0A that I got for Xmas and the arms exploded. Gotta give Yamato a call so they can send me replacements.
  18. Alright, I got my re-issue of the VF-0S and it is functional with no breakage other than what I accidentally did pushing the seat upright. It's an awesome piece, but I wish they had a latch for the backpack, seems kinda floppy. the right hand is floppy so the gunpod can easily fall off. Comes with the standard FPs and weapons. I also would have liked it to have been more along the lines of the VF-1's transformation, especially when it came to the swing bar going inside the nose. I've given up on it for now, doesn't seem to slip in there like with the 1/48 and some 1/60s. Head movement is stiff, not like other Yamato Valks. Like I said, neat piece, somewhat worth the price, too bad they don't have Shin's 0A. Just gotta deal with the re-release of the CF-0A for those of you who pre-ordered that one.
  19. When is this con again? It's been 6 years or so since my first con where Exo made some awesome carne asada and met a bunch of the guys here and got my olive drab MWCon shirt with the Monster on the front and a Minmay doll on the back. Good ol' days.
  20. Well gee, I would like to go. I moved a little bit aways from the Tokyu Line(not far really) so it would be possible. Not sure when. I have some medical things I have to get out of the way(hopefully for good) so I can reclaim my life and love of Japanese beer.
  21. Alright, my long awaited pre-order of the VF-0S is finally on its way. Should get here tomorrow, I hope it's got no issues.
  22. You suck! But the 1/48 is definitely easier, seems to just fall into place. I only have one and it's the 25th Ann. 1/48 is too big for a good display in my home.
  23. Yokoso! When you get here that is. Been living here for 5 years and life is fast, hopefully your stay is not a brief one!
