We all love Robotech here. We would have it's babies if we could.

Tomorrow Never Knows is one of the greatest songs ever and sounded great in this film. Listen to the drumming in particular. And yes. This film received waaaay too much hate.

"Dislike" button is not enough. It is *that* bad. And who are we looking bad to, btw? HG fans? Who cares about them, really? (I removed my comments from YT)

Yeah, I commented too. My comment involves the watermelon.

Any other "Thing" fans out there?

Yeah. There is a *very* narrow appeal that studio's are generally seeking in their films to try to secure the disposable teen dollar. They have been winding back "childrens" films for years. -
I really enjoyed it when I saw it. I think it's really underrated and in years to come it will become a cult action film.

The studio is claiming that the leaked synopsis is "way off". Time will tell. -

Fark! Anyway, everything I am hearing about this film makes it sound like it is going to be *different* to the other films in the Aliens franchise. And to me, that has to be a good thing. -
Yes.......and no. Hoyt Curtins music was a brilliant addition to the show, better than the techno they added over the top of G-Force, and some of the voice acting was quite good too. Keye Luke made a much better Berg Katse. (Zoltar). AND a fair amount of death was left intact. (Especially the episode where the guy in the wheelchair picks up the bomb and uses it to blow a hole in the wall, killing himself in the process. I was *astounded* that they left that one in.)

I dunno. In a lot of ways it looked like it was going to be shite. I still think that THIS is the "Gatchaman trailer" with the most potential I have seen for years.

Reminds me of this....

Depends on your employer, depends on your union if you have one. I hate my employer *and* my union, so hows that for Catch-22? And I am not supposed to publicly criticise my employer. -
Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
taksraven replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I think it will go on for quite a while. Seems to be cheaper than the forever "planned" live-action SW series that I predict will *never* get off the ground.- 1217 replies

In ten years time we are all going to be sitting around going: "Hey, you remember that 3D boob last decade, didn't that fizzle out?"

A lot of British spies during the Cold War were gay, or at least would get with whoever they had to to get what they wanted. James Bond is a Cold War era spy.- 251 replies

There was nothing like BOTP until THIS arrived, of course...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N8CD7gN2MA And the Death Star "paled into insignificance" after seeing this for the first time...... And just when you wondered where they were going to go after the first series, this spectacular opening appeared.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-Kwtjqyna8&feature=related And just when you wondered where they were going to go after the first series, this spectacular opening appeared.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-Kwtjqyna8&feature=related

Just a few, no particular order....... Ok, not strictly speaking "anime", And I love the closing too..... Put simply, there was NOTHING like this on Australian television at the time (late 70's), so this simply was the bees fucking knees.
