  1. All except the Strike 1S, which I have known for a long time to have this issue on both shoulders and subsequently fixed with epoxy, were peacefully in their figher modes ever since they were out of the boxes.... but after Graham got Yamatoed and began soliciting for pictures, I figured that I should do my part to get yamato to wake up their f**king idea. I am not even transforming them, I am simply just bending down the leges and slightly swung the arms out to have a better view, and lo and behold: Of the 5 VF-1 V2s on dssplay(Hikky Strike/Super VF-1A, Roy Strike/Super VF-1S, Roy VF-1S, VF-1J CF color, VF-1A CF and VF1D) 3 have broken shoulders (Both the Roys + Hikky Strike/ Super 1A) Both Hikky Super 1A shoulders (with cracks on more than 1 part on one of the assemblies) Both Strike Roy shoulders 1 Roy standalone shoulder Now the even more scary thing is that multiple parts of the assemply has crack rather than just the area at the extreme end of the pin... thus mending is more complicated. Edit: I have all the normal (non limited, non-weathered) VF-1 v2 releases, save for DYRL Max 1A, and I don't have the time to go through each and everyone of them, but i guess I have no doubt that I'll have more cracks to report when I finally get to open all of them up for display when I finally get my own apartment
  2. The only shoulder problems that I know of are from my initial Strike/ Super Vf-1S (Roy), where both shoulders are cracked (sinced fixed with epoxy, think it should hold) and know this only because this is the only v2 that I have transformed (like 3 times tops). As for the rest, I have not really transformed any of them. Those on display are in perpetual fighter mode (with the V1s in battroid mode), while the rest are still mint in their boxes (no place to display them). I might have a few more surprises if I actually transform them later on....
  3. Maybe some lube will do the trick?
  4. I tend to believe this is the case as well. Think their priority is to get clear stock yet to be packaged and they probably figured that they rather do this and endure a little bit of shoulder breakages. I also belive that whatever the reason is, most likely they would not give Graham the full truth as to what happened. At most some 1/2 truths with loads of justification why this is so. I can endure cracked shoulders , no biggies... but broken ones, well, thats another story.
  5. Nice builds! the only thing i did not like about the non transformable ger-walk/ fighter kits is that the nose shape is...... wierd.
  6. The VF-22s are suppossed to have the FPs built into the airframe, thus no add-ons necessary. However, Macross Ultimate Frontier might have given people the wrong impression that they shuld have add-on FPs since in the game, you have the option to do so, ala the YF-21.
  7. Hm... I was going to call them(not the birdshop but ground floor Csc) and see if there is any chance that they can arrive by tomorrow, but I guess I have the answer ... When they come it will bs another 1/2 grand in sgd gone... Incidentally, it did not take pre- orders for the blank 1s... Wierd.... About a month ago, I kept asking them if they were going to bring it in, but I did not get any definite ans... And after 3 weeks of probing, nothing... Sheesh ! Anyway, I eagerly await this baby and the vf-22s(s) to arrive... Soon I hope
  8. Confirm released!!
  9. RELEASED! ( In case anybody did not know)
  10. The dimensions between the v1s and v2s are kinda different. It would take extensive modding to make them fit.
  11. To add on the above post, the "last supper special" (the picture is the knife and steak) would also be of substantial assistance when enemies are closing in on the chambers from more than 1 side and are under cover. the blast radious ignores cover.
  12. Just came back from the theater. It is totally worth the money spent. Just don't go in expecting to see thing blow up straight away. Just be absorbed into the world of Pandora and be mesmerised.
  13. pilot seems pretty anime accurate, though I can't be sure whether it is accurate anatomically.....
  14. Thats pretty cool stuff! It would be pretty nice to have something like that for Macross
  15. What I can say is that in the process of getting access to other characters' skills, you would inevitably max out relationships waaaay before the final skill: Max world is unlocked (SP points have to be 9999, unles the character is Max of course). the main tangible that I know is that partner characters, with maxed hearts, will respond positively to your orders when once they are passed. With a "raw" relationship, the partner will reject your commands initially and only respond positively after 2 - 3 consecutive orders. I think I bought the ability to use other characters' skills, but i can't remember at what shop level or how much. I can only say Kakizaki is waaaaaaaaaay unworthy of this uber useful and powerful skill
  16. While I am not trying to max out ALL mechas, I basically use what time i can (waiting for GF, bus rides, or any in-between time) to play. I have long finished the missions, but I'll try to use different characters and mechas each time til their stats are maxed. (I've quite a few characters who can use Max World right now ) Each valk also have slight differnces from each other so, that helps with the replay value as well, as you can have different ways to complete the missions: Do you engage in hand to hand combat? Micromissles, Cluster Missles, or reaction missles, blah... blah... With my valks on display mostly, playing with different valks on the PSP is my way of playing with my toys on display. Also having loads of fun using the "last supper" special to take out multiple enemies, sometimes I think i can even take out 3 waves of enemies in one blast! real nice.
  17. To add on to my earlier post and agreeing with some of the guys, yes, waterslide and/ or dry transfer decals as well, and I'm not talking about the standard DYRL sets, this one should really be logical since they are coming out with valks specially made for customising. Give us Enigmas (i would really love this one), Minmay Guards, etc etc, you name it.
  18. Basically Yamato should think "diorama", that would include quite a few things that we've mentioned above
  19. All in the list are very nice, but of all of them, I would especially like 7 - 10, especially 7 and 8.
  20. They are separate... I just meant that it would be a real winner if they had the free shipping deal with it.
  21. As much as I would think this is what any logical person would do, I must point out that in the economic terms, this is what deflation is all about! Albeit in this case, it only applies to Macross toys. If we keep expecting them to go on sale all the time, it will just lead to a downward spiral... which is really what we don't want. This is exactly what, in the real world, governments are trying prevent. That said, it also can be an indication that Yamato's MSRP was on the high side (though street sellers probably had way lower prices than the MSRP in the 1st place) Oh well... hah...i'm probably not making alot of sense here, but well, just enjoy the sales while it lasts!
  22. I think this sale must be doing so darn well that the stocks are in a state of depletion very shortly after the sale began.... so... let it run longer, and with more items! In fact, combine it with the free shipping offer!!
  23. To be clear, that amount ( and counting!!) since year 2001. Sorry to disappoint you if you thought it was just for this year alone! (the amount for this year alone is slightly over US$2700, and in this recession too! Thanks to the relentless wave after wave of macross toys from Yamato ) Most of them are in their boxes, but I think I can arrange for a nice little shoot of all of them together... gonna be a challenge though.
  24. Just did a tally... i have spent about US$8700 on Macross toys alone...
