  1. just FYI, First US retail site to list this item, I believe. Their price is kinda ..high. asking $249.99 Estimated to Arrive June 2011 Big Bad Toystore I'm pretty sure HLJ will list this later with actual currency conversion. I don't know why I'm even posting this since I'm not gonna buy it. I'm done with DYRL SDF-1
  2. LOL!! I think opposite. If Bandai sees this thread now, they will kill the line immediately. So please, people.. focus on the topic title.
  3. I see what you mean. Yeah.. now I remember seeing the photos. Somehow I thought their next release will be YF-19, so it was disconnected in my memory somewhere.. These were from early 2010, and they changed this to Blazer and moved on to more VF-1 variations and add-ons. Their last product was 2010 November according to their website Their last online-shop item was Super Parts Set to be released in July 2011 according to their website I think there is still some hope Bandai will continue this product line. We will see during the summer toy conventions. - crossing my fingers
  4. Eh? Really? First time I heard about it was after Blazer Valkyrie and VF-1S Strike Valkyrie release which was last fall/winter (like 2010 November-ish?). Actually i don't remember seeing any photo of it. It was just announcement in hobby magazine interview article. My guess is that Bandai will announce something during 2011 summer toy conventions?
  5. They already announced the lines for Macross Plus. Probably working on them right now.
  6. First of all, this post should be moved to 'Building/Customizing Macross Models & Toys' section. ,and I vote for 1/1000 It should be roughly the size of widescreen 20inch monitor. Plenty of areas to add details and LED lighting and motions!!
  7. Now I really really want YF-19 new version!!!! Please yamato!!! I'll forgive you about the surprise release of SDF-1 model kit!!!
  8. They DO look like TV version feet! However, would you go and do the TV mod conversion using this option feet? By the time you finish it, Yamato will announce new TV version toy!
  9. only part i can think of is this cut towards the ending. I'm really not sure if this is worth the trouble (of extra cost and painting..etc) thou..
  10. I can't wait for Graham's review!! Please answer my selfish question before going to the hospital thou . Is the final product color Pink-Magenta Red? (as shown in recent pics) or Dark Orange red (like in earlier pics)? Good luck with surgery and get well soon~
  11. In my experience, shipping large (or heavy items) to US via (registered or unregistered) SAL often cost a lot more than EMS. So it makes sense in a way for HLJ to switch to EMS for those items.
  12. Those parts pictures look awfully familiar!
  13. From the page, these are the information i could get. (from the number on pictures and description) 1: The broken Cannon will be included as an option part 2: The bottom of feet will have round nozzle and switch-able square shape nozzle. 3: Decal sheet will be included 4: Photo-Etching parts will be included for Antenna, Strike Valkyries and launching Arms..etc 5: Screws and pin shaft are used for assembly. Other info from article.. It will also include resin cast parts, glow sticker decals The price will be relatively lower than the toy version.
  14. I was wondering about the other spacecraft sizes, so I did some searching and made a quick chart last night. I didn't show Star trek or Star Wars ships since some of them are ridiculously huge! And apparently I had some of the ships in similar scale!! I thought the Aliens Sulaco and spaceship Yamato was much bigger. and I didn't know how big the Enterprise was!! Also, the display case came in yesterday. Here are quick test shots. And this is how it's gonna be for a while Lastly, here are the Background images I made for some of the photo-shoots and wallpapers earlier. (They are pretty big - 4560X3120, so re-size them for your print out if you want to use them)
  15. This one was surprisingly slow and long process (even for me). Started on Jan 10th and put in about average 4-5 hours (less on weekdays, more on weekends) - finished on March 13th. I would say,.. roughly about 200-250 hours of pure love and joy (and some frustration!! ) Doing this once was enough adventure for me
  16. That's very Cool!! I wonder how it would look if the glows are more red than blue. Blue makes it more Star-Trek-y.
  17. Haha I'm glad you like that shot! Have fun with Photoshop!
  18. Now that I'm done with SDF-1 rebuild and got the Armored VF-25S kit, I'm gonna continue this thing soon It's been waiting for 2 years!
  19. Wow! That actually changed my thoughts on the YF-29 design. I want one now!
  20. Actually I already had the shot, but tried to avoid posting 2 similar shots. So here it is.
  21. Ha! Like I'll let you play with it!! I'll let you look at it when it's in the 'protective' plexiglass case! Anyways, I took a day off and borrowed some lights and also figured out more settings of the camera. ISO setting/ multi-focus setting/ smooth filter/ high-contrast settings..etc it was basically all WRONG!!! No wonder it came out all grainy and mush.. Anyways, here are some new raw shots with white background as you requested. Your Photoshop skills are better than mine, so go ahead and have fun with these! Also posting the image of city ceiling cover part I forgot to post.
  22. Thanks everyone for following this thread and leaving kind comments. I really enjoyed the process of working on this one. I started around early January and took me about 2 1/2 month to finish it up Lastly, I ordered a plexiglass display case for this one - cost me about $70!! I'll conclude it with a bunch of 1920 X 1080 HD resolution wallpapers (some new, some cleaned up old ones, some raw images, some phtoshop-ed) ~~ Please enjoy~~ I might add some more pictures later when I get more familiar with my wife's camera.. I forgot to turn on the city light when took these photos.
  23. Thanks, but 1 correction. The 1/2000 custom you are referring to, I believe, is done by Mr.'vf_1s' I didn't have luxury to own 1/2000 version... - way over my hobby budget
  24. Thanks Everyone for kind comments Taking picture is harder and more time consuming than I thought! Many details I added just disappear when it's out of focus.. but it brings out the parts I overlooked when i was working on it... My friend told me to stop messing around with Photoshop and post raw pics..So here are some from last night ARMD-1 with Valkyries and Launch signal And.. what's where - since it's kinda blended in now From different angle City Block with different states
  25. I just realized that the image links I've been using from flickr was limited to 1024 width!! - yeah... free account.. Let me see if this works better
