  1. preview: at last, VF171 battroid in action finally, VF171 registers a confirmed kill that head looks cool, perhaps even cooler than ozma's alto in armored packs! i wonder if he got an S or still vanilla25
  2. yup, moving them closer makes a lot of difference. still wondering though if they should be parallel to each other rather than diverging? now, someone please help me because i'm starting to see a kermit the frog smile on that VF-25 head. i almost did not pre-order the tomahawk because of the same reasons. miriya, this is all your fault!!
  3. wow, that must be a record of sorts. well you've certainly picked quite a spot to jump into. happy posting!
  4. um, it neither has the prometheus/daedalus nor the ARMD carriers? do i get points for that?
  5. man, the writers are probably doing kampai's since last week.
  6. VFTF1, completely agree with you on the chaotic nature of warfare. like when was a pickup game of basketball or football simply just a friendly game? i reserve some hope for the vajra though. leon did suggest they seem to be controlled by external higher intelligence, potentiallly much in the same way the breetai would use the zentraedi. it may be just that this higher intelligence hasn't yet exhibited any strategic moves or tactics (although they did apparently manage to conceal a red crab in one of the frontier islands, even if it may have been prematurely foiled by ranka's singing). i'm hoping we'll get to see something like a good zerg player later on.
  7. an old GBP might be more like it. what did they nickname that again? there doesn't seem to be a lot of anticipation for a 27
  8. that is so cool. thanks for that. where'd you find it?
  9. i'll probably tell sheryl not to worry about the heart hairs, as i've got the medication for it back at my flat
  10. me too! then i can finally display in a forrest diroama the hitherto useless ride armor figures that came with the CMs. and then the legioss/tread would be hovering above, raining death! can you picture it?!
  11. you should see the one of the 1/5 scale A-10. it was at the paris airshow and then they flew in the real A-10 afterwards. this one got me drooling:
  12. the fishy part is that the blocks conveniently had the gears and mechanisms to be movable at all, as if the redesign had the foresight to build in some modularity. one would think that battleships would be designed to be rock solid, with nearly all the major parts bolted down, permanently.
  13. not a nanase fan, although i gotta admit i wouldn't mind ogling her. i think though that her role, while not pivotal, is essential for adding contrast and depth to the sheryl-ranka rivalry. nanase is the keystone to ranka's support structure, which is much more personal and genuine to what sheryl has -- grace (who's actions are increasingly dubious and apparently out of self-interest) and a multitude of fans in lieu of friends. later sheryl muscles in on ranka's male friends, but ranka strikes back by winning her own fans. they may end up with a draw on that front leaving only nanase/grace as the defining element. it's a classic juxtaposition: fame vs friendship. nanase makes it possible to portray ranka as a normal average girl who just happens to have extraordinary talent. a girl who succeeds through the support and encouragement of friends, which makes her easily likeable, more accessible, forgivable for her faults. again in contrast to sheryl's fiercely independent nature that conceals her vulnerabilities. sure, a combination of other characters can play the support role for ranka, but perhaps not as effectively (imagine michael or luca forming a fans club? and who would gossip to ranka about sheryl and alto?), and so nanase serves as the lens to embody that support. she also exemplifies the normalcy of it -- how many girls that have a very close bestfriend do you know, compared to sheryl-types? finally, what is luca to do without nanase?
  14. or she could be using this for shampoo pink/blonde shampoo
  15. i wonder how the blade cx2 handles. i have the picoZ and it's frustrating to fly. i hope someon will eventually make a rescue copter that can lift a toy soldier perhaps, or better yet one that can drop bombs. it's just an RF release catch so should be simple enough if they can keep the weight down.
  16. yeah, i know. just not really a fan of the gosu design. prefer the more organic, less evolved inbit. some resin iiga (including variant with booster) were on ebay some months back. but for an uncompleted model at $60 IIRC, i had to pass. if it was the gurab though, i probably would've caved.
  17. indeed. the new renders are much more natural. another bit, that suggests the backgrounds were recycled: in M0 the lighting was from the left and both the valks and clouds reflected this. in MF the lighting was on the right side and correctly depicted by the left shadowing on the valks, but the clouds still had their shadows on the right facing the sun
  18. eh? i only see the cover picture. and no descriptions either? browser settings? edit: weird. now i can see it if i click from the quoted link instead of the original post. ok, that does it. i'm caving in and ordering. will probably order the blu-ray as well to justify the shipping. the h311 if it came with english subs or not, i want that All That VF special.
  19. well, i did think of changing my avatar (again) since ackem has the nicer one. but i did make a vow... anyway, maybe i'll settle for sheryl slapping alto if someone would be so kind as to make an animated gif of that
  20. um, maybe they also recycled the flight paths? this is CG afterall so they probably have the old render paths saved somewhere and just swapped the objects, i mean valks. if the camera angles on that cobra maneuver are the same, then i'd say it's very likely. anyway, i'm not complaining about the recycling (if indeed it is). if anything, it shows how much they've improved on the lighting. edit: ok, scratch that. d3v just blew it out of the water
  21. well i certainly thought she became even more beautiful in that shot looking longingly at the sunset
  22. SMS007? is that alto's number or the one who painted it also happens to be a james bond fan? a work of art. really like how the perspective stretches the nose making it look even sleeker than it already is.
