  1. I couldn't find the link to make a payment for one. Is it too late at this point?
  2. Just picked up my issue #7 from Kinokuniya...I like the yf-21 delimiter mode pics, and the art of Zentraedi on the ice planet where they imprisoned the protodeviln. Hikaru's featured in one of the character sheets. Good stuff. 2 weeks till I get #8. My bookcase will be full of these in no time flat.
  3. Yeah, the price we pay for importing just about anything Macross seems crazy, but it's better than paying about $16-$17 each one from ebay. So far, the first 5 issues that I have are proving themselves to be quite awesome. The artwork, and character stuff is my favorite, but I do think the idea of it all, is cool. Just more proof that the whole Macross franchise is willing to put product out there for the fans. I don't know if I'll be taking apart the books or not, but I will be getting the binders. The issues seem too cool to take apart, even though that is what's supposed to be done.
  4. I'd like a link too, if it's not too much trouble. I may need to get a set of 2.
  5. Just for an update, Kinokuniya downtown Los Angeles was able to get me a subscription. Cost for one year... a whopping $265, however, this is including shipping sent by air. Basically, I'm paying $11.04 each issue. Oh, and they did have the latest issue of Macross Chronicle there at the store. I will be picking it up at the store too, since I work right across the street from there.
  6. Well, face it, at least it isn't looking like Toynami MPCs. As bad as it may seem to many of you (I have my own things I cringe at), it's not Toynami's Robotech line. I think at that point, I would definitely be shoving this product right back at Bandai. I believe that Macross fans are still in a far better position than what those Robotech fans have to deal with... crappy MPCs, no news, hardly any product, and a cheap new foundation to build their franchise on. We have a lot of great toys so far, several great series, and a solid franchise that doesn't seem finished by a long shot. While we are entitled to our opinions, I think a lot of us have gotten used to the concept of the perfect toy. If they are designing these to be played with, I can see why they may be a bit more chunky. They want people taking these out the box, playing with them, transforming them. I've got mine preordered, and again, I'm gonna reserve my full judgement when I receive it. So far, it's an ok product. I definitely like the Ozuma paint scheme, and that alone makes that toy passable in my book. Only the future will say for certain what we're actually getting. As long as it has a balance of sturdiness with detail, I think it's good.
  7. I too, ordered from HLJ, and I've had mine for over 4 weeks. As for a report on the toy itself, it's a solid toy, no problems with the the arm, or broken, stressed pieces. As for vendors, I've ordered stuff from various people, and I have a couple orders from Overdrive, but HLJ usually is on point about shipping. As for Overdrive, I'll see how that goes when what I ordered is released.
  8. I'm definitely reserving 70% of my judgement for the final product. However, fighting over differences in opinion over a toy company's practices to the point of personal attacks is just lame, not to mention childish as hell. You know, whether someone can't stand Bandai because they ruined their childhood, or they love them, leave it be. Besides, I thought this was about BANDAI, and the VF-25, not Yamato vs Bandai. Going back on topic, I don't think the VF-25 is as terrible as it has been made to seem here. While it does seem to have a number of lineart issues, how well it turns out as a toy is totally unknown. The fact that there's still some time away from release, I believe there's gonna be some fixes. As to how much, one can only hope for the best, but I've got my preorders done, just waiting on shipment.

  17. I'll definitely get the Hikky 1S, but Roy's 1S just as a good insurance against breakage. Now that I think about it, I don't know if I've just fortunate or super careful, but I've never had a problem with any of my Yammies (knocking on wood as I say this). For some of you who've said it came out of box broken, that's a hard thing to take. I know if I had that problem, I'd be fuming. I'll be happy for all of us when I hear the fix from Yamato.
  18. Just to add my $0.02 on this topic of the shoulder, I just got done examining my 1/60 1S to death, and I didn't have any stress marks on my shoulders of mine. I did follow the good advice of Shin, and I loosened all my shoulders just to be on the safe side. It's really an easy process, but if you do work on yours, do make sure you use the exact size screwdriver. The screws in the shoulder are of a pretty soft metal, so you don't want to strip that screw. My 1A is good, as it does appear they left just enough tension to keep it poseable, but looser than the 1S to avoid potential problems. Anyways, My 1J is on preorder, and I'm hoping for it soon. I will say that if they do a re-release the 1S I may just get one for safe keeping, maybe even customize another one.
  19. There you go, I was only thinking of the toy. Thos packets are easy to find too. You should be able to find them at a packaging store, or maybe Office Depot, local UPS store, etc.
  20. I can't say that I've ever had that problem of bugs, or moths, but that's not to say that I may not. I doubt they would or could cause any damage, unless they happen to like tampo printing. But seriously though, I think they are ok.
  21. Hikuro, do you have an email I can send you the voice stuff to? I did it using Audacity recording software, and I'm slightly out of practice, but pm me with an email so I can send it to you. We can converse via that method.
  22. Very true, however, comparing a toy from mid 80's to a toy that was made what, 2-3 years ago that is labled "Masterpiece Collection", somehow just makes it all wrong in so many ways. I've been dumping all my crapnami toys for the new VF-1 ver.2s. There's just no reason to keep anything that inferior anymore. I am, however, going to be taking my YF-1R, and customizing a new 1/60 and making it a Jack Archer custom. Why? just cause. Anyways. I don't have much else to do with some of my busted crapnamis.
  23. I'll send you something tomorrow.
  24. I've been watching this project come along for sometime now. So far, this project is looking good. If you need anymore VAs, let me know. I posted something in your Macross Zero Dub. Anyways, can't wait to see some more of the final edited scenes you have finished.
  25. Hikuro, I've taken some voice acting classes, and have done some acting in past. If you want, send me a p.m of what you'd want for type and style of voice, and I'll send you some voice tracks.
