"Why don't you open your eyes and take a good look. You think Earth has the best culture? B.S. You don't even know the meaning of culture!" Or something like that.
-
I never thought it was that bad, with the exception of the voice actors. As a standalone, it's decent. I actually think it's quite fun to watch, especially if you're gonna drink. Get a slight buzz on, and mimic the voice actors. Good times.

I keep checking hlj to see if it will be posted there, as hlj may have a deal to sell the exclusive Yamato stuff.
-
So, just ignorant to what else is out there. That wouldn't be a bad thing, except for when you get people that grew up with Robotech, then decide to add other mecha and characters, knowing it doesn't belong to Robotech. That's when you just gotta do a grand face palm, shake your head, and laugh at...hmmm, stupidity?

If Yamato makes this, this will be my first multi purchase of one expensive item (I think). It's just too badass not to.

Nice, my wife is a senior graphics designer, so she's in that field too. Are these going to be in a vector graphic format? I'm going to get my kit tomorrow (finger's crossed) so I can get your measurements.

It gives us what we want, a cleanup, great retouching, but still stays true to the original.

Yes, they probably do... Effing hilarious. I'm glad you put that up. Man, don't let too much out of the bag... we, the illuminati, are trying to take over the world, and to do that, we need to first throw the world into chaos by putting up ads like this, LOL Seriously though, Entertainment One was probably hired by A&E to create a promo ad for the DVDs, and in a rush, and without checking, the designer used a Macross character that isn't shared by the two franchises out of sheer ignorance, nothing more. It can still get them in trouble, but it's probably nothing more. I mean really. I cannot divulge any knowledge of secret societies, and for those trolling, please disregard any conspiracies. We have nothing to hide.

When I did my decals based off of that Minmay Guard Hasegawa kit, The standard decals I used were from the Yamato kit, while the Minmay Guard specific decals were from this kit. I'll take the measurements, I do hope this comes to fruition.

DAMMIT GEORGE!! Why didn't you change THIS instead?!

Have Han shoot Greedo, like in the original. -
I haven't had any issues with mine as well, and I've taken it out quite a bit, and will with the sound booster set. However, I am very glad that Yamato is aware of some people having issues, and are already going to fix it. Nice.

Got those as well...Oddly, this is one of my favorite mechs from Macross. It's probably because of its more conventional fighter look, and the fact that it looks like the A6-E Intruder.

I hope everyone liked my Robotech Entertainment One ad with Alto. This must be where I turn sarcasm off.

There's the Paris Act, and the Moon Act decals. I have both, so send me a message on what you need. I've also made a "Sheryl Guard" custom using my own enlarged variation of those Hasegawa Decals. It should be somewhere on the Custom toy section, probably an old thread.
-
It's possible, but some of these parts, when they are enlarged, need to be hollowed out. It'd cost a fortune to get it done as-is, and the weight would just add unneeded tension and strain on parts.

Because I don't really collect stuff in 1/72 or 1/10, unless it's something I really have to have, and I'd like it to size up to the rest of my 1/60s. I forgot to add, this kit is 1/100.
-
Here's pics of the Studio Half-Eye version. Not the greatest of pics, but hope they suffice. :Edit: I'm trying to see how feasible it is to get this kit 3D scanned, and enlarged to a 1/60 scale, so it's the same size as the other valkyries. Wouldn't that be somethin'?
-
I'm sure if it hasn't been rectified by now, Someone in Japan will make sure it is.

If that ad was valid, I'd hope that Satelite, and Big West are aware of it. If it's just some idiot fan's doing, then, that's par for the course, I guess. It's gotta feel pretty sad for them, when no one is really talking about much of anything about their franchise, and this is the only good thing to come in relation to Robotech. In just a sample of what is going on in the Macross franchise, the VF-19 Kai sound booster has just been released, the second movie is coming on Blu-Ray in October, new issue of Macross the First coming out in the new publication this month, and that's just some of the stuff over the next couple months.

Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie (v2.0)

This will be fun to get. Out of curiosity, does it just come with the sound booster, or does it have any extra gimmicks, like that Mylene figure that was seen in the background of the pic of the unpainted 1J, 1S, and 1A? -
I'll put up some pics tomorrow. Gotta charge up the camera.

Damn, that's sweet. I love the VA-3, just made me pull out my Studio Half-Eye VA-3. I want this kit.

I think Crest of the Stars had much better ship battles than Southern Cross did. Great story, and also an epic opening theme song.
-
I noticed that as well. The physics are a bit off on that section, but it's still very good.
-
If I had to say what I liked about Southern Cross, it is Jeanne taking a shower... Just kidding, but there was one good thing about it, which was the comedy that was in it. Sadly, that was the only thing that I ended up enjoying from Southern Cross. The mecha and all that is just kinda an afterthought for me. The soldier armor was pretty good, but still not a highlight.
