    Bottom pic definitely more accurate depiction of the height difference between the two.

    On the Frontier line, the 25 series probably is the easiest to get the shoulders blocks to sit flush with the rest of the fuselage. The 29 is a bit harder, and I find the 27 to be the worst of the lot. Especially when you're trying not to scratch the paint, which will come off if you breathe on it too hard. But in general Bandai valks have always been inferior to Yamato/Arcadia when it comes to parts all fitting together.

    I did the same thing to a small bottle of wash recently when I opened it and the cap was loose. Wash was all dried up.

    When have I ever not done this? Looking good! I'll make the landing gears white on mine, but all other work will have to wait until I come back from Japan.

    Why does it still have the YF designation after so many variants have been made? Surely it's a production VF by now, even if limited?

    Red lights on the underside of the central intakes. You see them for like 1.5 seconds when Hikaru banks away from the camera in FB2012.

    Don't forget to paint on the red lights on the underside! Or whatever they're supposed to be.

    Sadly that is how it's supposed to look. Makes me wonder if the CG guys weren't given enough time to finish rendering and the producers just said eff it, let's just make the uncolored crotch piece canon.

    So I looked back at the listing on Amazon and there's a bunch of different versions with different bonuses. I just ordered what I thought was cheapest and didn't bother looking at the bonuses. *shrug*

    Was wondering why the movie shipped to me in such a large box. (Apparently there's more than one bonus that's randomly packed.)

    I love that Nippon-yasan is one of the choices for the question "Where do you purchase your Macross products?"

    $280 US price tag effectively puts the MSRP at a little over 40000 yen. That's more expensive than the Arcadia SV-51 which is only 36800 yen. 40k for a toy where Bandai absolutely cut corners in its original design and now reissued with their current level of quality control? No thanks.
