Now that Bandai has pulled me back into 1/48 I really wish I still had some of the old Yamato 1/48s. They look great in fighter, especially those low viz schemes! -

Just finished the recently released book 8 of The Expanse series. One of the best sci-fi series I've seen/read in years. Can't wait for season 4 to start and for the final book in the series. -
Nope, that's not what he wrote. His "others" remark is not exempting SDFM from his conditional preference for adult protagonists, but merely saying that in addition to SDFM, his other favorites are Plus and Zero. If his intention was to exempt SDFM from this condition, then he did a poor job wording it as such.

Thanks for the thorough and detailed review! 2202 version sounds like a terrific toy, if you don't already own the 2199 version. The few changes and improvements aren't enough for me to spend $300 to replace my 2199. Actually picked mine up for 18000 yen a few years back. And I recall HLJ having a clearance sale on them for around $130 too. -
Put a Yamato VF-0 and an Arcadia VF-0 next to each other and you'll be see that they are absolutely not the same.

There are two Mandarake stores in Osaka. One is in Umeda which is further north. The other is Shinsaibashi which is near Dotonbori. There's also a Jungle shop in that area but I've never been to it. And of course there's tons of toy stores in Den Den Town.

Hikaru is 16 in SDFM. Younger than Alto and Hayate.

Someone probably canceled their order. Which means HLJ knows how many they should have now and it's not likely anyone will receive a cancelation notice, if they haven't already.

The Bay Area is also at the top end of "expensive places in the USA" and is not what I would use to represent the rest of the country. For most people, $100 is still a substantial chunk of change. It's already an expensive item to begin with, and the profiteering from scalpers and certain shops is not something to be welcomed. On the flip side, it's not a necessity either, so it's a wash.

Yep. Once I get the Arcadia PF, I'm going to swap out the cockpits so my Arcadia PF also has a rainbow tinted canopy.

For shipping to the USA, Amazon charges a flat 1200 yen rate for the first item, then 600 yen more for each additional item. So for a two item order, shipping would be 1800 yen. It's shipped via DHL and gets here in about 3 business days, sometimes faster. I buy from Amazon Japan whenever I can now.

HLJ's listing also had a price of 0 yen when I first opened the page. Needed a couple of refreshes. It was also limit 1 as I nearly screwed myself over adding it to cart on my phone and laptop, causing HLJ's site to tell me me I could not order more than one. Even if it was initially set to 20 by mistake, you couldn't check out for like 20 minutes. And if you somehow managed to finish check out with more than 1 unit, HLJ will lock out your account afterwards and delete the extras.
