  1. Did you mean doesn't? That's a good shot!
  2. Sneaking sets in there...........................................get help!
  3. I can't deal with the head lasers either. Screw cannon! Thanks! I may take another shot at this tonight. I'm just not getting the warm and fuzzies.
  4. For whatever reason you can only have 10 Macross toys. You could call it a top 10 I suppose. But I think it's a little different when the limit is 10. Multiple copies take up multiple spots. Mine: -Bandai DX 1/48 VF-1S Strike Focker (custom) -Bandai DX 1/48 VF-1S Strike Focker (custom) -Bandai DX 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru -Bandai DX 1/60 YF-19 Full Set -Bandai DX 1/60 YF-30 Chronos -Yamato 1/60 YF-21 w/ Fast Packs -Arcadia 1/60 VF-0S PF with Ghost Pack -Arcadia 1/60 VF-0D PF -Arcadia 1/60 SV-51 Ivanov -Takatoku 1/55 VF-1S Strike Focker (custom combo)
  5. DYRL Final Battle Scene. Who's got pics of their DX posed like this? I've been messing with it for about an hour and I can't cheat the anime magic enough to feel all fuzzy abut it. I can get both hands on the gun pod and really, really close to the pic. But, then the Strike Cannon is not pointed the same direction. The Gun pod has to go across the body at an angle for both hands to reach. Which is actually picture accurate. But then the Strike Cannon isn't pointed the same way. It's bugging me that I can't get that. I'm also curious what you guys did with the legs. The RH leg looks like it's come up and is bent at the knee. I'm not sure what the LH leg ends up doing. I stopped the video at the last second (1:43:39 in the video below) before it cuts to the close up and it's not very telling. Screen shot of last second below. Also video.

  7. This sounds a lot like you're planting seeds to me.

    1/55's revisited

Yes, some of them absolutely screw in. Now I want to know which ones! I have been thinking of doing a Chunky Monkey information site......in my spare time.

    1/55's revisited

I may have screwed that all up.......................
  10. That may not be a Takatoku or Bandai Chunky Monkey. As far as I can remember all of the Takatoku/Bandai's had metal "hip joints" except the 1990 re-tool which was just a Focker release???? The metal landing gear is throwing me off though. I haven;t seen a knock ff with metal landing gear.

    1/55's revisited

I thin I screwed that up (pun intended). I forgot there was a third option. All of my canopies are flush mount (not a clip in shield). Of those which ones are screw mount I'm not sure. IMO if it's flush mount who cares what style it is? I'm about the aesthetics. If for some reason you want to know which generations are which I can probably check them out tonight.
  12. Dammit! I was right......but I typed the wrong thing. My first Macross trivia win........and I threw it down the road in turn one.

    1/55's revisited

I just looked at my stuff: -Takatoku VF-1S "Focker" has a screw in heat shield. This is not from one of the gift sets. -Bandai VF-1S Strike Hikaru has a black screw in heat shield. I have a red clip in heat shield over that. -Bandai VF-1S Super Roy 2001 re-issue (very white) has a black screw in heat shield. -Bandai VF-1S Roy 2001 re-issue (gray) has a black screw in heat shield. -VF-1A Super Hikaru 2001 re-issue has a red screw in heat shield. -VF-1A Super Max 2001 re-issue has a blue screw in heat shield.
  14. I think that is SDFM cannon????
  15. The HMR's look like that.

    Hi-Metal R

Another Monster on Buyee. I'm glad I don't have room for more than one of these. Three Monsters would be pretty cool! https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/g450617547
  17. The new 2021 MB 500 SOL
  18. If Bandai did the MB it would be a GMA.
  19. You're GT500 is a pretty tough customer (I've had a couple)! Lot's of power, kinda drives like crap. But reliable in a modern car kind of way. I must be getting old. I wouldn't be interested in a 13-14' GT500 anymore. So a personal preference kind of thing. There was a time when I loved all of the things you love. Unfortunately/Fortunately those days are behind me. My current dream car is a Mercedes Benz SLS AMG. My buddy just got one (he has one of everything the bastard) and out of all of the cars in that $150-500K range that is the one I like to drive the most. Still a muscle car. But sexy! My 2007 S197 (since sold). 1056rwhp, a nasty, nasty roadrace suspension and brakes, etc. It ran the standing mile in 100% street trim at 207mph. With some gearing and taping up the front end/running an sir dam I think it would have gone 220. Needless to say it was a fire breathing monster.
  20. That's not a 69 BOSS 429. That is a $250K+ car built with modern-ish technology that looks like a BOSS 429. Have you driven a 69' BOSS 429? I have, They're slow, they don't turn, they don't stop and they are generally horrible to live with. That one in that pic is not much better. It would absolutely get slaughtered by a modern GT350 in every measure of performance and the GT350 is really nice to live with. I won't even bring the GT500 up. I sponsor a car that does (and wins) some of the Optima Street Car Shootout events. There is a sea of cars like the one in the pic above. HUGE money operations. $1M double stacker race rigs, $1M RV's, etc. They consistently finish behind modern cars with way way way less time, money and effort into them. Looks really cool though.
  21. And here I was thinking season 2 wasn't as good as season one. Silly me.
  22. I was constantly swooshing one of these as a kid! There was a perfect spot to wedge your hand in between the back of the drop tank and the fuselage.
