I'd say having LP on here responding is a very good sign. They ran into some small business problems. Not a huge deal or surprise. Every business is having massive problems right now with logistics. It's not 2019 anymore. And won't be again for years. I say cut them some slack and chock it up to this new world we live in than anything else. I can tel you from experience ramping up a shipping department with it's associated supplies is not easy or fast.

It's not a bad strategy. Ford Performance (formerly known as SVT) production numbers are based off of making one less than demand (that's theory though). In reality they make a few more than one less than demand. That creates the same kind of "street values" that we see from Bandai. The new 2020+ GT500 is a perfect example. Getting on the list to get one was a lot like betting in on a PO. And most of those people still paid a hefty dealer markup. The secondary market is even crazier. The GT500 Track Pack cars go for $30K over retail....used. And sell. I even do it with a couple of my products I manufacture. They are pre-order only. They are never on the shelf. And I always have a waiting list. I'd rather lose a few sales over tying up a ton of money in inventory. Or having to do things like Black Friday sales to get rid of it. I agree that Bandai is frustrating though. On the upside in general your toy collection appreciates in value.

Bandai is the second largest toy manufacturer with $6.5B in sales (1st is Lego). It's hard to argue that they don't have it figured out. Or that us Plebs know how to do it better.

I'm pretty sure the Bandai hasn't started shipping yet??? I PO'd the Bandai one. Looks like the Kayodo is on PO too. Hasn't shipped yet??? I'm not sure you're going to be able to get a first hand comparison. I've had too many bad experiences with Kayodo quality to send my money their way anymore.

I suppose the tell tale will be the GBP release. Will they be the normal hard to find at reasonable pricing? Or will they be available for 6+mo like the Roy's are?

I hear where you're coming from. I'm not actually a anime fan. I liked Akira, SDFM, DYRL and Plus. And Evangelion. Oh wait, I liked the Netflix Ultraman and Castelvania. And I did like Evangelion. The show and the Rebuilds. I have as strong connection with Shinji though and I love the mecha so that would explain a lot. I've tried watching super robot stuff. Nope. Maybe I'm not watching the right stuff. I collect toys because I think they look cool. Not because I like the anime stuff their based on....for the most part. Macross and Evangelion excluded.

Thank you sir! Do you know how I can tell which ones were released on 2010? I just bought a bunch this morning. I don't think I got anything of that vintage except maybe the Unit 00 with the big NERV missile???? I am going to pick a Unit 03 and then 02 Beast Mode when I can find decent price. Are those 2010 units? I got what I want to do for my display figured out last night. For now I will put all of the RAH's out and then what you can't get in RAH I will represent with Robot Spirits.

I see there are some Bandai Spirits releases and some Damashii releases. Are they the same size? Quality? My guess is that the Damshii releases were similar to a TWE type release??? A little more rare? I think there are 5 of them. The most notable the Unit 01 Awakening, Unit 03 and the Unit 00 with the big NERV missile. I see the Damashii releases sometimes advertised as Spirits. I don't get it.

Do any of you have any of the Robot Spirits EVA's? How are they? I can't imagine they are "nice". But are they junk? I want to get the EVA-02a because it looks super cool (EVA-02 GBP?). And because I'm a moron and having only one in that scale would be silly I would probably get a few more. I highly doubt we will ever see the EVA-02a in RAH, Dynaction or ThreeZero. Trying to get everything in one scale from one manufacturer is about the most frustrating thing in toy collecting. It seems that all of the manufacturers release everything......short a couple of choice examples. I like the RAH stuff. I've got most of them (hoping they re-release Unit 01 and 02 Awakening). I have or have PO'd all of the Dynaction releases. But what are the chances of Bandai releasing the whole lone? I'm going with zero. I PO'd all of the ThreeZero stuff. I'm not holding my breath that they will release the entire line. You can't even get the whole line in Robot Spirits. I think you can get pretty close though.

As far as "story" goes are they the same character? Did the character change/morph/advance or something in the storytelling? I'm not sure I'm asking the question right. Is the OVA one like a version one and the anime series like version two? Or did it just change with no explanation? Thanks
