    And there is potential pitfall #1. I knew there would be some. Trying to think of a work around on that right now....... Ok, how about this. Everyone is going to have a US address tied to their account. The shops know about the EMS thing. It's not like they're going to assume that it's some sort of scalping operation....probably. Maybe that could be overcome by contacting all of the shops and selling them on the idea of getting the stuff off of their shelves. I have to imagine they would prefer to have them shipped rather than sitting there. Another idea is to have a partner in Japan that could do the consolidation and shipping. The saved Tenso fees may cover what they need to make. But, that assumes they as an individual can get the same DHL rates as Tenso. It would not be a simple operation to set up, that's for sure. But who knows when EMS will be on line. And then how long is it before they're caught up? It could be years.

    A option with AE is to have them ship to your Tenso address and then have Tenso ship them DHL. I just paid $68.28 to get five missile sets shipped. $13.66/ set for shipping is not exactly heart breaking. Let alone three day shipping. I'm consolidating some other larger (size) purchases right now for another shipment. I'm not offering, I don't have the time. But someone could really get all of the costs dialed in and probably do pretty well offering a shipping service from Japan. They would open a Tenso account. People can have their purchases shipped to that account. Based on time and/or size shipments would come to the US. That person would then re-ship to the individual people. I have to imagine that the person doing the logistics could make some money and the people using the service could get their stuff a lot faster for not much more money than a EMS shipment would cost (which isn't an option anyway). At some point there is going to be a huge shipping price break (size/weight). A "crate" or "pallet". That would be the goal to shoot for. I get pallets of product air freight (DHL or FedEx) out of China and when looked at from a $$/ size-weight perspective it's really inexpensive. If you could get one of those going out every 2-4 weeks there could be a lot of happy people. I'm not discounting the potential pitfalls. There are many. Only pointing out that there is a gap in the market to be filled.

    I've got a guy who is here in Michigan that does custom helmets doing a SDFM Hikaru helmet right now. Not nearly as cost effective as these. But, they look pretty darn good in pics and the paint is WAY better. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. And at this point I'm all in on helmets. May as well have him do a SDFM Roy. Spoken like a true addict! I'd love to have a Miria to go with my Max. That would be pretty fun. And I'd really love to have Roy's helmet from Zero. Miria would just be a matter of paint. Roy's Zero helmet is going to be somewhere between a fortune and impossible.

    I have my fingers crossed that they're a higher quality than the RAH's. My 01 is not too bad, my 02 is junk. I'd love to replace them with a higher quality pair.

    If it makes you feel any better I have multiples of everything.......and I have never scored a PO. I've paid scalper pricing for all of them. Some not too marked up, others on the edge of "holy crap, why am I doing this?!?!" I picked up three extra Hikaru S's just in case Bandai didn't release the Roy for a long time, or ever (a little paint makes them a Roy). Now that I have the three custom DYRL Roy's inbound (thanks @RedComet!) and secured three TV Roys I'll be putting some of the Hikaru S's up for sale. I'll sell them for exactly what I paid to a MW member.

    On the first matter what DYRL-VF-1S said I think is spot on. It's a community. I have received a lot of help from other members here and I do whatever I can to pay that back. And as I gain more experience sometimes I get to pay it forward. This is by far my favorite board. The sense of community is strong.......especially for the inter-webs. I would like to think if all of us got together at a convention we would have a great time together. As far as the second point, yeah, there is a little hazing. But IMO it's good matured. I think I can count the times I have seen someone out of line on one hand. On Facebook I can count that many in 5min. Try looking at the hazing as good natures "towel snapping". It's what you get when a bunch of guys (and a few ladies) that are comfortable with each other. You should hear how my mountain bike and weight lifting friends talk to each other. An outside observer would think we hate each other. It's the complete opposite. All off them would give you the shirt off their back.

    Or you can take Hikaru out of your J (assuming you have one ) that's in Battroid and put him in the Roy if it's going to be in Fighter or Gerwalk. I'm pretty sure that one of my Roy's is going to get Hikaru's name on the cockpit, a Hikaru from my J that is in Battriod and the Supers/red tips. Where I'm going to put it is another trick. My Hikaru shelf is DIALED. And I would have to go bonkers to fill another Hikaru shelf up. It could be done though. My poor Roy shelf is sparse by comparison. Not as many variants.

    I've got the silver one too. As far as I can tell the only thing that is different is the "collar" may not be metal. The original colors look way better than the silver IMO. If you're going to hunt one down go original. I couldn't find the original for about 6mo and settled for the silver. Then as is my luck I found the original a week later. Kinda had to get it.
