  1. Pull the trigger sir. Premium or not, you won't get disappointed owning one. Because, like I said earlier: Agree? No one will pay? Are you sure? Remember there's still someone out there whose willing to pay $750 to get a decent and new never-been-out-from-the-box Valkyrie. And that's a fact. Hey David! This release will get the exclusive treatment in your hand once you wrapped it in in your acrylic plastics. Because probably blank ink is much more expensive than colored inks. Hence, the Premium Finish. Who doesn't love Tommy Yune's artwork in those Premium packages?
  2. I wonder though. Since you're using female for Hikaru. Why not, use a wig for the Hikaru character? I mean, I've seen girls do male characters in some conventions and they do use the specific character hairstyle as part of their overall look. And if it's not blackish blue hair, photoshop it in post-prod. I appreciate the effort for doing this but inquiring minds want to know. Is this more like just relying on the costume and not the overall look? I know your Mirage have the 'elven' ear going on but how about the other characters with their signature look?

As for the purple hued Tomahawk, are Bandai basing it on the old Conversion Kit box artwork?

I see. Thought it was someone new who does HMR review. Based on Macross Mecha Manual site, the blue type Spartan was seen on Episode 15 of SDFM. Agreed!
  6. TBH, I don't understand it 100%. But those sweet images are good enough for me to get one. Go and buy one and tell me afterwards if I'm correct. And this is why we need that Macross Coffee Book from Saburo. No Japanese texts needed.
  7. Got this Model Graphix Macross Archives book at work this morning. Thanks @jvmacross for the heads up on this one. Even if it's 'used', the book looks pristine.
  8. I never get tired of looking at this incarnation of VF-1's. People always says it's a 10 year old mold toy. But everytime there's new releases even if it's just the same old Roy or Hikaru scheme. Premium or not, they're still gorgeous to look at.

Who's Pinot? This is the first time I heard of him. Care to share some link please. Thanks!
  10. Ok. Understood. So, how will you apply this satisfaction, appreciation, etc if your the head honcho of Arcadia? Would you still keep on doing it knowing that some companies out there are just going to copy what you've been building? For sure, Arcadia will be forced to lower their price to battle this KO goods. But how can you pay your own people now to innovate more? How can Arcadia or any company for that matter survive to pay the rights, materials, labors, marketing, costs, etc. knowing that other companies are just going to come in, reverse engineer your stuff and sell it cheap? Like what you said, it all comes down to money. How one business can survive if they're not going to be paid right? And for sure, companies like this were also built with passion. Passion for making toys and make everyone happy especially us -- Macross Lovers.
  11. See. It's a never-ending cycle. You innovate. Someone will copy. You advance more. Then for sure someone else is going to copy that advancement. It's not going to end. That's why I ask to what extent because people will copy people. In the end, why innovate? Why do advancement? When someone can just steal easily your advancement.
  12. Hey B! Wait. Why am I saying Hey to someone who devolving this thread? Just kidding B! Hahaha! Those were good posts, JVM and Chronocidal.
  13. I've read your post before and I understand what you're saying. But to what extent are you going to stay good enough in order for the "I'm-not-going-to-think-of-something-new-because-there-will-always-be-something-to-copy" copycats to stop copying just for you not to always think that imitation is the highest form of flattery, etc, etc? Would it need to stop if money is already involved since you have to pay lots of money for copyrights and all? That's what I'm trying to say when I said about I want to hear what those inventors and alike starts to say something about this matter. Even if it's a form of flattery and all, copying one's idea is already stealing. I'm not against to what you've said. But with what's going on around the world lately when it comes about this matter. Imitation is the highest form of flattery is just an excuse for being sourgraping. Esp when that copycat makes a better version of what you did. So, from there, it's just a big cycle. Now you have to make a better one. But like I asked in the beginning, to what extent you're going to stay good enough? +1 In the end, for me as a consumer, when I run out of option then that's the only time I buy KO goods. For example, I bought a Metal Saga 00 Gundam Seven Sword it simply because the original release is so expensive nowadays. But that doesn't stop me for preordering Bandai's reissue Metal Build 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G. I know it's much expensive than the KO one. But who wants a Gundam display stand that says Metal Saga or Mecha Worrior in their collection, right? Who wants a KO display stand that has a different color compared to the others, right? Just my 2 centavos.
  14. You guys seen 'Pirates of the Silicon Valley'?
  15. I think I've read everyone's opinion about this matter. And not just in this forum. It's basically everywhere where KO stuff is being discussed. But here's a thought though. Most opinions I've read are all consumer-based. And that matters because I'm a consumer too. Now I'm more interested to hear from people who actually an innovator and hear what they say towards this copycats. I'm sure if I were an inventor, an innovator, a copyright holder, for sure in the end I'm going to be pissed if I found out someone is copying something that I have copyright with and they're selling it half the price. But it is what it is.
  16. Hahaha! Can't blame them. It's instant money for milking out old molds while adding new accessories. And besides this is the first time I believe this will get semi-reissue. Prices now of the first one is astronomically high with some loose joints to boot. I'm hoping this one is much tighter. Much tighter than the KO counterpart. But I'm interested also to see Metal Build versions of Nu Gundam, Hi-Nu Gundam, and Sazabi. They can include Unicorn and Sinanju as well to that list.
  17. Seeing that it stopped I'm not so sure now if I'm going to cancel it. Though I offered it to a friend who like Combattler V and he might be interested with this scale just in case. True. And not knowing too if it's super articulated or not. But like I said earlier, if it's Voltes V, I'm into it 110%. And I'm going to make sure I'll find budget for it. Hahaha!
  18. You could PM Kaneda's Bike since he's looking for one. Better ask him too if he's open for negotiation with that scalper's price of yours. Good luck! Hahaha!
  19. That video post is kind of informative. But it's also one-sided. They can do it freely in their country just because they don't have IP law. And if they have, they just don't obey it. Period.
  20. I preordered out of impulse from HLJ. https://hlj.com/product/BANN19252 Y52725 I wonder if this is articulated like the rest of SOC? All the sample photos only show standing position in robot mode. Well, I have to think this through and decide if I need to cancel it. If it were only Voltes V... Anyone preordered?
  21. This is just bad lighting, right? Chest looks whiter than the rest.
  22. Wow! Now I feel I need one. Hehehe. Thanks for this, Treatment. Hopefully they will make Voltes V as well.
  23. Now I kinda like a Gamlin VF-22 to copy that scheme.
  24. Great purchase on the Metal Build 00 7S Gundam. I have 2 of those before. But I already sold one to a colleague when I purchased the Metal Build 00 Raiser. But just so you know, the upcoming Bandai release coming July is not a 'reissue' per se. But it's a new release as Seven Sword/G since it's going to have the GN Sword II Blaster. But from what F360 posted on the Third Party Gundam thread, Metal Build is also making an option set that has the GN Sword II Blaster and extra GN Buster Sword. Either way, that Metal Build 00 Gundam Seven Sword is still a good buy for its price.
