  1. Wow. Thanks for that comprehensive answer. Atleast now I know that MP-10 doesn't look quite well with MP-36 based on your answer. TBH, I like G1 cartoons but I don't want my toys to look like cartoons. So I'm still leaning towards in more realism somehow. So I guess the 3P route is the best to pick. But like I said, I'm not in a hurry to get both figures. Who knows maybe down the line when I decided to finally get both figures, Takara will announce the V3 Convoy and will see it from there. Thanks for helping out someone who has less knowledge on TF toys, Scyla!

Yes. You can pull it out easily. On the 30's however, you can't pull it out from that joint. But instead you can pull out the whole folding hinge joint section where the pod attached to from the fuselage.

However, the 31's container pod can still be removed from its swivel joint. The 30's doesn't.
  4. Hope this Macross Maintenance thread helps. Would be nice to have this thread pinned somehow to help others who wants to fix their collections. Feel free to add your process there once you fix yours.
  5. I'm actually considering a Prime and Megatron in my collection somehow but I know once I do that it's like me opening a new can of worms. Don't want to start a new line somehow. See. This is where it gets complicated sometimes for me. I know there's versions that they look good in Robot form and more accurate and there's a different versions that they look great in Vehicle form compared than the other company did. So it's very hard for me to decide which is which. And if ever, and I mean just in case I'll buy Optimus Prime and Megatron down the line, what's the best company make do I need to buy? And should I go with same company who does both figures? Or depends on which figure and which company that both looks great together? What do you guys suggest to a guy like me who has less knowledge on TF toys? Thanks!
  6. Probably ET decided for part swapping(?) kinda like removable intake covers on most of the Macross Kanzen Henkei figures.
  7. Me too. But I really need to cut back some extra. Not just on my weight but also my purchases.

@VF5SS mentioned that on his 1/60 VF-2SS Silvie Gena review at CollectionDX: It's not official but it gets the job done.
  9. Congrats Ignacio! And on the way to work I presume? More work means more toys.

Yeah. Sad to say, that 30's pod can't be remove. On a good note though.... NY finally shipped my 31F's Super Part sets after one week of 'in-preparation'. The excuse they gave me during Live Chat session is that they have lots of orders. That's it. And they couldn't come up with a better one why I got an in-preparation email from the 19th only to be shipped today. Oh well.

Yes, the Pod joint itself can be detach from the 30's fuselage. But I can't say the same for the 31's Pod joints. Also, if ever the 30's Pod can be removed from the swivel joint and can be reattached to the 31's swivel joint, there's a chance that the pod will not fit perfectly in-between the legs in Fighter mode. I think the 30's Pod is a little bit wider and thicker than the 31's Pod.

The 30's Missile Pod cannot be removed from the swivel joint.
  13. Well, in case you didn't know, it's always been a fact that we're like this ever since. So if you're getting bugged by it, please feel free to skip our posts. So again, welcome to MacrossWorld! It's not MacrossWorld if no one is complaining.
  14. Thank you sir!
  15. I still don't get what's NBD? Sorry for my ignorance but what's NBD? To be honest, it's not odd if you think about it. And it's worth it too. Like what I told everyone before. I always use Registered or Eco SAL before to most of the stuff I'm buying online esp from Japan. Now why do I do that? It's simple because it's cheap and I can save a few dollars. But if you bought something that cost around $300 and use Registered SAL and somehow got lost or got problems and whatnot, the only coverage you will get is 6000 yen. And just so you know, it really does take time to wait from the shop for your compensation. Up to now there's no word yet from Nippon-Yasan when can I get that Y6000 for a lost $100 worth of package. And it's already past 6 months now. Imagine that scenario with a $300 toy. And see if you're not going to panic. By that time, what's the assurance that you still can get that $300 toy with the same amount you paid before and not more than if ever it went sold out? Lesson learned. It's why I use EMS nowadays for items that cost more than Y20000. With EMS, atleast you are covered with 20000 yen maximum coverage. That way, if something happened with your $300 toy, you just lose like $100 rather than lose the whole thing and not get your money back. I don't want to be someone that just going to scratch my head and say goodbye to my hard-earned money for nothing. And that's the fear right there -- we're paying a lot of money for this hobby so it's just normal for some of us to react this way.

    Edited for yah.
  18. What's NBD? Probably some of us here are eager to get the orders immediately, but for me, it's more about what I paid for. It's not also a question of patience. And no offense to what you're saying. I do get it. You don't mind the wait so you always pay the cheapest option. But if you're someone who pays extra for the fast shipping and coverage, you know that the store is bind to that agreement that they need to sent the item once it's available asap as per shipping method. But if they don't, why offer the said method in the first place? Anyways, if you still think of this reply as a discussion for a store related thread just disregard or ignore it since I'm not going to create a new thread for it. I'm just venting out.
  19. I guess it's normal to talk about that topic from time to time because all our toy purchases comes from Japan and not just some "local toy stores". Just saying.
  20. What's funny is that sometimes I can't decide whether to go EMS or Registered SAL since there's some instances both packages move or flow at the same rate and time. Whether it get stuck somewhere, in-preparation, in-process, etc. So even if the description says that it will take 5-7 days for EMS against 10-14 days for Registered SAL, it really depends on how it's being handled. It makes me think once in awhile why I pay more for EMS when both methods and transit times are probably the same once it went out from the store. Or am I just paying it more so that my expensive purchases will be covered fairly somehow if any problem occurs. Yet, I wouldn't deny that it's frustrating somehow when some packages are delayed as promised by the method you were using.

I don't get this. You guys only received the preparation notice a few hours ago and I received my so-called preparation notice back on the 19th and now it's still on preparation in progress. And one of Anubis' order got shipped already. That's weird. I know the SP parts got released earlier than the Mk 5 which I also ordered but not included to the SP parts order because it was announced days after I ordered the SP. My SP parts should've been sent out on the 20th or 23rd atleast. Then it somehow made me think for awhile. Are they waiting for other supply that gets released the same month to come in first before they send it out everything? I mean, if that's their process then they should honor somehow to change or update an order when the same item is coming in the same month even though it was announced a few days after, right? I mean it's frustrating sometimes that you have to pay different shipping costs knowing that both items are coming in the same month just because it was announced a few days apart. Oh well, just venting out.
