Don't panic. They're just one and the same. There's no different versions nor different releases. AmiAmi is just trying to move their in-store stock. That's why they're heavily discounted. It's why it's best to browse around first on different stores and sites rather to give in immediately. Besides, why panic when you're happy with what you're getting?

What do I think?! I'm selling all my Yamato Vf-1J's now. If ever this will become a success, I don't want to restart my VF-1's in DX format. I'll probably just get Hikaru's VF-1J, VF-1A, and VF-1S. I just realized, that what I said to myself last 2012 when I started collecting Hikaru's Yamato Valkyries.

For me, IMHO, the only advantage Evolution Toy version has over Hi-Metal R is just the scale. Well said, Mr. Cheng. Can't wait to see your VF-2SS detailed up version.

Sad to learn you're missing one closed hatch for the SAP missiles. And about the head laser turrets, good thing they've included another pair. This is why I missed what Bandai were doing before on their releases. They install a PVC/rubber type material head laser turrets on the figure and have an extra pair in ABS material.

I'm excited for this. An ultimate VF-1J figure. But if the said figure name plate says for 'Display Only', I'm not going to put my hopes up... just yet.

Yup, it's Mk.XX Hot Rod and Mk.XXI Midas. Hot Rod is a repainted War Machine Mk.2 and Midas is a repainted Mark VII. They were both seen in the Iron Man 3 somewhere in the background. I know it's cheaper to collect this Iron Man figure line compared to Hot Toys. But at this point I'm not so sure if I will continue beyond what's being released lately. But I'm definitely going to get a Mk.I if they're going to announce it.

Nostalgia. Nice. Thanks for sharing, Tekering. No new photos as of this moment. And no reviews since it hasn't come out yet. Maybe one week or two weeks prior of its release date.

Interesting. I guess, this is where it based upon the Batman and Joker figures I saw earlier which I already posted in the Figuarts thread. Thought it was weird at first. But they look cool.

Looks like it's the same as Yamato's packaging based on what Jenius posted on his Yamato review. Can't wait for the wallet-buster Premium Finish next year.

No worries, sir. I checked the Chogokin thread, and somehow it looks like it become a 'Chogokin' in general since I saw some Chogokin Hello Kitty and My Melody posts in there. Not to mention some Super Robot Chogokins posts in-betweens.

I don't think they will add refinements into it. Because if they did, they already posted it on their blog the way they informed customers regarding updates on their releases. It's either they changed the material stock on their packaging. Or they added a flip up lid.

Nice set! No offense meant, Kuma. But that probably need to be posted in the Chogokin thread since it's not a Figuarts/D-Arts/MonsterArts/Ultra-Act figure.

I see. As long that the figure inside is well-secured, then I guess I'm ok with it. Because I'm expecting the same size and box built for their Premium Finish version only in black.
