No preorder date announcement yet. But they've already shown a prototype in some Japanese hobby magazine. And hopefully they show a painted sample on the upcoming TN2018 next week.

I checked the Master File thread and found some photo that shows VF-4G with a Gunpod. And it doesn't look like the standard, GU-11 Gunpod. More like a custom GU-11. Looking forward on your scratch build. Photo courtesy of @jvmacross:

Head-wise, I like the VF-31C more. But overall scheme-wise, I like the VF-31J/Kai.

Officially, VF-4 Lightning doesn't carry a gunpod in Fighter mode even though it's capable to carry one in Gerwalk and Battroid mode, the arm units already have beam cannons as its main weapon for it to carry a gunpod. Not to mention the 12 missiles that it carries.

Probably it is the 1/32 scale. The video shows those acrylic tubes that it has underneath from the DVD video link posted from the OP post. Not to mention the same gimiks that it has. -
Actually, everyone loved the new packaging that Bandai does on their DX Valks. The thing is that there's not enough clearance from the clear plastic tray to the flap cover to the YF-19's head laser. So if the box wasn't protected properly during shipping then you'll end up with a broken head laser.

Love to. But I'd rather save it for future Macross stuff. Though if it's a giant Hot Rod/imus then I'm not so sure since he's the main TF figure I collect.

I'm not into Gunpla these days. But for MG Zeon units, I think Marasai and Geara Doga looks great. On the other hand though, there's the RE line which technically same scale but not as intricate like MG, they do have the Jagd Doga and Nightingale from that line if you like that suits too.

Nice mod, Tekering. To me, my main issue with characters in an armored suits is that how skinny they should be outside the suits? Iron Man(s) included. As an individual figure, it looks proportioned. But once you put it beside another character from the same set/scale, it still looks proportion as long that you don't see some 'human' parts on it. But once you put the head accessory, it always threw me off. Please don't get me wrong. I love human/mech figures but it's still interests me to see a figure done correctly proportionately with an actual human form. Kinda like how thick a sleek Iron Man armor fits in real figure.

I can't remember if ever there was any posts regarding broken VF-19/Adv's head laser before. But it just shows that the new box packaging/layout probably added to the cause of it for the YF-19.
