Classic! And i think, from Toynami's statemens on the matter, that it has more or less been confirmed that the rare versions will be released. I would be very surprised if we didn't see a 1D, elint, and ostrich for around a hundred bucks a pop in the next year. There are a lot of naysayers that like to bad mouth em, but in this case, I don't see any reason they wouldn't deliver.

request 3rded for some shots of the regult with a yamato/bandai valk...any size will do, but I imagine it will be closest in size to the 1/60s

im with js on the fake camera path thing...that's always bugged me the most about movies based in reality that work in too much cg. You want to make it look realistic, put the time and energy into the models and animation and then stick with cameras that are possible in real life. You'll get a much more believable piece and you'll draw the audience in.

word...too many useless new characters and bad actors in season 2. if sylar didn't die, he should have been saved by some uber villain guy and became his lacky (sylar is more of a violent sidekick type of character than a main villain/mastermind). They really shouldn't have killed off Lindeman either. He had potential to be pretty cool and he died like a chump from a 2nd tier character.

well this is an unexpected turn of events :eek: seems like the best chance to get a 1/55 elint/ostrich set, or even a 1/55 1D.

not sure why people complain about the regular version not having an ss head...you're either going to display it one way or the other...if you want to display it in both modes, you'd need 2 anyways (it's not like people play with these things)...plus the skin tone and outfit are different on the ss version, so it's way more accurate having 2 then just chucking in an extra head. The only heads I'd like to see are a few different facial expressions. either way, the more I see the regular version, the more i obsessively want to get it..the price though :/

thanks this is the first time I've ever had it all in one place (it used to be spread out across the room), so it's nice to finally see it all together.

just reorganized my display with a couple new bookcases...still need to organize a few more shelves (yammie 1/60 collection, plus some gao/hurricanger megazords) enjoy

i still remember the day the super 1s reishes went on sale for $30 a pop at HLJ...sure made it a lot easier to put FAST packs on everything

my clear mirage just showed up today and it's AWESOME! Even the box is straight G1 quality, and the figure feels pretty solid and looks great. One of the forearms is a little loose, and won't hold the gun straight out, and the thighs want to slide back down into the calf part, but those problems can both be fixed with a dash of glue or nail polish if needed. The way I've got it "posed" now, it really doesn't make a difference though. Stickers are nice quality too. Quality wise, I wouldn't consider this to be any more of a knockoff than the e-hobby recolors.

i still think the worst thing they ever did with this series was spend half the first season setting linderman up to be some big shot that controls everything, then they kill him off after 2 or 3 short scenes in a few episodes. He should be the show's magneto, and sylar should be dead and gone

a) that epsiode sucked b) good thing the muscle memory chick watched all those videos, because it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to hop over TWO railings without special powers. all the new characters need to die, nikki needs to die, micah needs to become evil, and sylar needs to be demoted to a lesser role as a powerful dude's twisted sidekick... for season 3: no new good guys, multiple new bad guys.

how tall is the gurren lagan? It's a pretty rad design...like a modern take on gaiking. for that price, it better be a foot tall.

looks pretty obvious that the takara starscream will be the bluenose version that hasbros can be cleaned down to. Plus, it will have all those nifty markings and details like skywarp had

mp-03 isn't a BAD looking toy, it just doesn't look like any TF character. It's the equivalent of one of Yamato's random low vis recolors, in TF form. the problem with that is, TFs are characters, not planes flown by characters...so changing the color takes away the value. I could definitely see a limited edition sunstorm coiming out, or at least a few customs once MPSS starts showing up more in Walmarts for cheap. The limited edition I would LOVE to see, is a ghost starscream!

since mp starscream isn't available in canada anyways, and even online stores are selling at scalper's prices, Im just going to wait on this one and see what the Takara version brings. They've done a great job so far, so i'd rather pay a bit more and get a better product than save a buck and get something I'm not 100% happy with. Takara knows how to put together an MP release, so I'd guess, at the least, all the silver parts and hinges will be body colored, the weathering and panel lines will be gone, and it will have more printed markings like skywarp did.

of course since this pic was taken, I downsized the neck spikes to half that size...and yes, the belly gun works. the head dimensions were taken from the SOC getter 1

sine the onine stores are all selling this for a fortune, along with the ebay scalpers, Ima probably just wait for the takara release to come out and see how it looks. If it's the same price anyways, and potentially doesn't have black hinges, silver bits, and weathering, it's money well spent. Not that any of those things really bother me in the grand scheme of things. it does seem odd that all the things that took extra cost and effort to put on are all the things no one wants.

i'd save my custom getter jumbo...everything else can be rebought, but that guy's one of a kind
