While I have no love for RvB, I'm really surprised that they closed up shop given their popularity and the new video capture tool included in Halo 3. I think that's going to make Machinima series just take off in sheer volume.

Odd, everything I read was that Bungie had said that Marathon and Halo were NOT in the same universe, despite the creators dropping little easter-egg type things in here and there. I for one would really dislike it if Halo lead into Marathon. Keep the two of them seperate and be done with it.

I'm not a massive gamer, nor a big fan of FPS in general. Add to that the fact that I normally play Halo in 2 player co-op mode with my brother and that sums up to having my ass handed to me on Heroic But it's all in good fun. I'' glad those checkpoints are liberally sprinkled about.

I told myself that I wasn't going to wait, I wasn't going to wait, I wasn't going to wait... I ended up waiting in line for almost an hour and a half. I was shocked at the amount of people there, and that was just for pre-orders! (as it turns out, that one store had more than 250 pre-orders for H3 of various types). So I didn't actually get back until 2am or so and have spent the last three hours playing the game. So pretty. So very, very pretty. Some frantic action and funny dialog from Master Sargent Johnson. My all-time favourite move is ripping gun turrets/plasma turrets out of the ground and just mowing down those Covie sons of battyes!

You make that sound like a bad thing, though Any idea if Mass Effect will ship with a Collectors Edition?

I'm unsure of whether or not there's going to be a line to get into my store, the midight opening is only for pre-orders (this marks the longest time I've ever pre-ordered a game, almost five months), so I'll be meandering in around 23:30 or so. If there's a line, I doubt I'll stand in (though I will come prepaired just in case I have a fit of insanity).

That would've been better had it not been nearly so cliched and banal. Very pretty tripe, but still tripe. By the 75% mark I couldn't take anymore without experiencing violent tendancies.

How noticable is the differnce between 1080i and 1080p? Since I don't use HDMI on my 360 (my only HD source at the moment) I can only get 1080i and am curious about the difference in quality.

You're right on this case, but I haven't watched Patlabour II since that first viewing and now I wonder if it'll be better as I've grown up a tad since then (that's what made Patlabour I so entertaining this latest time around).

I just KNOW that I'm gonna be putting in time like that when Mass Effect comes out. Yes, I still blame you for this.
