  1. Yeah, that'd be like waving the red flag in front of the bull and daring it not to charge
  2. I still don't like how the CMs version looks like it was stretched in a bench vice. The VF-1s are tall and slender, while the VF/A-6s are short, squat, and solid.
  3. Picard had one beautiful moment during an episode where a human colony was going to be removed by an alien race. The planet belongs to the aliens and they will take away the humans if the Enterprise doesn't. Lots of talking about a treaty gets no where until Picarrd uses the wording of the treaty to get the time he needs. He also did so with style
  4. Lost had promise when it looked like Lord of the Flies. Instead we got Lord of the Rings and I couldn't flee fast enough.
  5. Faith in the cast? Yes. Faith in Abrams? That's a little more iffy. I despise Lost and loathed the turns Alias took.
  6. Scarlett and Snake Eyes forever! None of this "Duke" person.
  7. Holy God is that ever a crappy design!
  8. To be truthful, Ripcord was from near the beginning if not AT the beginning. I recognize the name and I seem to recall that his job was arial insertions, HALO drops and the such.
  9. Feb 08, last I heard.
  10. I'm surprised nobody's bitched about how the Beta's chest missle bay doesn't fully open. There's a nit yet that someone haan't picked!
  11. Palladium Books has re-aquired the Robotech license is is releasing a brand new RPG. The first book will be based on the Shadow Chronicles and will feature new artwork, updated rules, etc.
  12. So do the RPGs themeselves, so what? They're forgiven by the fact that they're just so cool
  13. The Alpha-Beta connection needs to be closer, too. The wings of the Alpha should mate up directly to the chest missles of the Beta.
  14. I hate how the fights in Bourne 3 were jitter-cam to the max. I hate, hate, hate that style of shooting. Ultra-fast cuts, blurry focus, poor-framing... I hated it in Batman Begins, I hated it in Bourne 2, and I hate it in Bourne 3. I really loathed how they put in extra-jitters when Bourne was having a nice, calm discussion. I loved how they filmed Bourne 1, with a steady camera. To my eye, it shows just how calm he is in a crisis, like his escape from the American Embassy. The jitter is the wrong choice for a film like this. Pirates 3, SM 3, Matrix 3... they all did what I hate: the first films in those series were close enough to reality to be "believable". But for the sequels it's like someone decided that there needed to be more explosions, more mind-twisting, more magic, etc.
  15. Question for you PS3 owners (and you know who you are ): how quickly does the HD fill up, since every game needs to put information on there. Has anyone hit capacity yet?
  16. I think all of Palladium's RT books have awesome art. Especially the covers and pictures by Kevin Long. The RPGs were my first real exposure to Third Generation/MOSPEADA artwork (I hadn't seen the cartoon) and Kevin Long just kicked ass on his RT artwork. Personally my favourite RT book is Strike Force, where you get some in-between mecha that show the transition from the Macross-style VFs and Destroids to the REF Alphas and Betas. Totally non-canon but very cool nonetheless.
  17. Pirates 3 sucked. Spidey 2 sucked so badly I can't bring myself to watch #3. And I haven't seen any of Shrek. Maybe Hollywood just needs to stop making threequels.
  18. I just went to the Mass Effect webpage and there's a new counter on the main page, just above the page selection bar. It's a timer and it's counting down from 321 days. Anyone know what this is about?
  19. Just finished this film and I can easily say it was the worst of the three. It still has the wonky camera work that I despise (one of the big reasons I can't stand Battlestar Galactica). The fight scenes weren't nearly as enjoyable and there was a whole bunch of fortunate happinstance that helped Jason along the way. Also, is it just me or did they speed up some footage in the final New York chase scene? That's a major no-no.
  20. The only problem with bringing out an Xbox Ultimate like that one descirbed is that MS has consitantly stated that there will be no HD-DVD games for the 360, and no hard drive required. Any stock Xbox will play any Xbox game, they say. In that case, is there really an advantage to pushing this Ultimate other than to try to increase HD-DVDs penetration into the market
  21. So, we're saving that for when Snake Eyes beats several Aliens in hand-to-claw combat.
  22. Your issues go far beyond Live
  23. There is no DLC yet for Mass Effect, but texture pop-in is near the top of the request list. More conversations and more romances are also up there.
  24. Lies. And let's see Liara recite poetry the way Ashley can.
