  1. Cease such sacraligious language.
  2. Well, let's not be too quick to judge. I want to see how they make the inevitable sequel, since it did seem that at the end of the movie he'd transformed into the Bond we all know and envy. If the next film is exactly like this one, then you'd have cause to complain. If instead he's more like the Bond of the past, say a Connery-type Bond, then things will be good again.
  3. Has anyone ever found RG Veda on DVD? I wanna know what happened after the second episode.
  4. This is why we'll probably see fewer platform-exclusive games this time around.
  5. The exact reasoning was that they couldn't get the model of the VF-1 to walk without the back of hips/air intakes clipping through the wings as the legs swung back and forth. The wings are in the way when you change from fighter mode to battloid mode without using anime magic to shrink the wings.
  6. The most Waste Of Time Anime that I'd watched recently would have to be Gasaraki. The first few episodes started out promisingly enough, with a a very original mecha design and some great action, but then it very very quickly devolved into little more than a blatant Evangelion copy. I mean, they even copied the main female character's hair style!
  7. I wasn't that thrilled with his delivery of the The Line. Not terrible, mind you, but not mind-blowing. Err... Bond had continuity? All of the non-Brosnan Bond films were before my time, so none of the actors really had a grab on me as "the" way that Bond should be. When GoldenEye came out, I was finally old enough to understand what was going on and why so I wasn't that hamstrined by misconceptions about how he should act or sound.
  8. Oh, man. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at these puns
  9. That's because THIS is what Venom is supposed to look like: Bigger, badder, and much toothier. Venom pretty well keeps the dental floss companies in business, don't they?
  10. I bring Brosnan up as Bond because he hit that one mark that I feel is vital to any portrayal: In Tomorrow Never Dies Bond is in an parking garage and is chased by the Baddies of The Day. Bullets are flying everywhere, rockets are being shot, his life is near-constant danger... and he's laughing his ass off. Bond is loving every second of it and it shows, and that's the epitome of Bond to me. Well, that, and the ability to be cool under pressure. In GoldenEye, he's working on setting up a bomb when a bullet hits right beside his head. Bond just tilts his head to one side and keeps on working, not caring much past that. Both those scenes are the iconic Bond moments to me, and Brosnan filled those just perfectly in my opinion. While I admit that Craig did an outstanding job in this film, I withold my judgement until he can meet that standard in my eyes.
  11. As well he should, if only to give the actor time to put on the muscles that Eddie Brock/Venom tout. In that animated gif on the previous page, Venom looks seriously lacking in that department.
  12. Oh, that's terrible
  13. One of the nifty things about this film is that throughout it, I was wondering about the music. None of it was Bond music, not the guitar, not the trumpets, nada. Until the final scene, when he really WAS the Bond that we all know and love, and bam! In comes the theme song. I left that theater with a mile-wide smile. As for all the flak that Craig has gotten as Bond, I'll admit that he did a decent job of filling the role. For this film and character, with it's tone and darkness, Craig did awesomely well. But if the next one is supposed to have a "regular" Bond, with all the wisecracks and grins, then I'd be a little more unsure. Pierce Brosnan has always epitomised Bond for me, and it'll take a lot to convince me otherwise.
  14. I'm still waiting on my Visionaries, dammit.
  15. I don't mind gameplay narratives as long as they're not two animated heads talking for hours on end.
  16. Whereupon it will be very quickly be available to download from half the Internet
  17. I dunno about how Craig looks as a Bond. He looks more like the stereotypical Russian baddie they had in the earlier Bond films. Just doesn't look Bondish enough for me.
  18. Everyone does, which is why they're going to hold off on that ace in the hole for as long as they can. Milk that marketing gimmick, they will.
  19. My problem is that the movies follow parts of the comic very closely. Specifically, the parts that involve watching Peter Parker whine and complain about how terrible he has things, for an hour and a half. The half-hour or so of Spider-Man that we get to see is good, though.
  20. The Legendary Edition is looking mighty tempting.
  21. The only problem is that the armour on the figure now looks more like the female version of the CVR-3 (dunno the original term) than the male version.
  22. Alas poor Chewie, we knew him well.
  23. My enjoyment of Patlabor was rather hamstringed by the fact that I saw the first two movies first, and expected the TV series that was released later (in my area, at least) to have the same tone and style. Needless to say, I was quite shocked by the amount of humour and sillyness. Not that it's BAD, mind you, but it's definitly different.
  24. True, true, which is why I said "slight technical shortcomings". I just wish that this game had some sort of online multiplayer abilities. That would supremely rock.
