  1. Internet bitch hermit. I don't like to be around large groups of people.
  2. I've always enjoyed Robert McCall's art. I only have one book of his called Vision of the Future. It's kind of old, around 1982 or so. That book is filled with concept art, mostly paintings and narrative. There is stuff for Disney's Blackhole, Star Trek The Motion Picture and many original pieces. Lots of floating cities similar to those in FFXII. I have seen a couple of his more recent pieces and his style hasn't changed much.
  3. I think you are selling your game in the wrong place. Try a video game forum or one of those game trading sites and see where that gets you. It's a great game and people know it. I payed $44 for a bare cartridge in 2001 and while I thought it was a good deal back then, I'd expect the game to be more complete nowadays for the same price.
  4. How is the range of movement for the arms and legs with the armor on? Is it able to scrunch up like it is getting ready to fire all the missles at once?

    VF-X2 US DEMO

You can try Toysnjoys.com they have VFX-2 and other Macross games last time I checked. Hope its not the bootleg version, I couldn't even tell you which is which. But the bootleg will cut out and go black screen after the final mission. 353038[/snapback] I would like to mention that an original copy of the game will go to black and never show the credits. I experienced this with a swap method PS1 (which also trashed it). After buying a JPS2, I played the same copy and once completed, the credits displayed properly. The game seems to have a problem playing on modified systems. I wouldn't know about playing it on a modchip system, I don't go there.
  6. Yamato finally updated their site (within the last couple days) and added the 1/48 GBP with a 12/05 release. Nothing new there but they have larger pictures of all the armor parts here.
  7. I got the first two figures of the set and went to work posing them. Priss has quite a few more accessories than Linna. Both come with the a wide assortment of claws that attach to the base. Articulation is very good and they can manage many of the poses seen in the animation. The only loose areas (I've encountered) are the knee if it's bent all the way back (it droops down a bit) and the upper thigh can fall off easy. I set Priss up to fire her needle gun and Linna twisting to whip her helmet strands around. I think this is a good comparison shot to show the scale for all the Macross folks
  8. Here is a sample of what Eve Tokimatsuri could look like in the new Megazone. This was a stand alone piece and completed several months before the announcement of a new series, oav whatever.
  9. no. It's the smaller ones that are based on the original. Unfortunately, Atelier Sai is doing the bigger scaled ones after the 2040 series, I'm assuming because Yamato already had the OS in development. Both of you guys had it right previously over here. Nothing either Ateler Sai or Yamato has shown us so far is from Bubblegum Crisis 2040, it's all from the original OAV series. I made the mistake of thinking the AS figures were from 2040 when I first saw them There is plenty of evidence in the link to the other thread but just in case here are a couple lineart scans from 2040 to compare with the AS non scale figures. The most noticable differences are the chest coloration and the hands.
  10. Those are very nice pictures. Yamato could be mass producing the larger Ateler Sai figures, it's hard to tell The same place card (with the Yamato logo) was used with the gashapon sized figures as well. Anyway, the Ateler Sai figures have a release date of July 2005
  11. I was looking at some of that guy's other auctions and all of his prices seem to be reasonable. Also if something like a complete unused sticker sheet or full tree of missles can change the price of a toy dramatically, then I believe in some cases the packaging/accessories are worth that price or more if a collector wants everything to be perfect.
  12. I think this is more of an inside joke. It would probably make more sense if we could see the rest of the book or magazine it was published in.
  13. Thanks for all of those wonderful pictures. I must have missed this thread last year Now I have a picture of the completed Vision kit to use as a reference for building & painting
  14. I've made a few observations on the VB-6 and thought I'd share them: For all of the parts that are not proportionally correct to the lineart, the rail gun cannons are not among them. The dark army drab green color of the Yamato toy isn't very accurate to either of the 2 colors variants pictured in the game. The Monster with the yellow shoulders is more of a redish-brown color and has the white eyeball decals. The inside of the intakes on both the shoulders and wings/legs are red. As it's been mentioned before, the Monster in the opening movie has 3 red stripes on the arms. The lighter grayish-tan Monster has red shoulders and yellow eyeball decals. This is the color used in game. I'm not sure but I'd have to check, the 2 enemy monsters may be the redish brown color. I remember them being darker in color. The valkyrie models in game were given around 1000 polygons which I think is quite generous for the time. What isn't very apparent from the lineart is that the rail gun does not attach to the upper torso/chest portion of the body. It could be rotated perhaps 30 degrees and be fired in destroid mode. In game, the rail gun can only be used in gerwalk mode however. As many times as I've played the game I never did hear a name or designation for the Raven's transport vessel.
  15. I've finished it 5 (nearly 6) times on both difficulties and I'm still not done with the game yet. I'm only taking a break to play some other games inbetween
  16. I can answer all of your questions about the book. In fact I wrote a short review of it here since there wasn't any mention of it in the MW book section. It's slightly smaller than the HM Illustrations book. If you've seen or have either Movement or Elverz, it's exactly that size. My Time shares several pictures with his other books, but has enough new content to make it worth buying. And in case you are wondering, there are 8 pages dedicated to Gunbuster The bottom link in the review I wrote doesn't work anymore, which is a shame because it was a wonderful resource. My Time was his last true artbook until Innocence came out. He's done a few artbooks for games inbetween that time but they weren't solely his work.
  17. His name is Akio Ôtsuka and here is a list of his voice work.
  18. I don't think anyone can say that with any certainty. The closest thing we have to a sequel is the Shenmue MMORPG. When and if that is released (and how well it performs) will probably determine if there will be future traditional Shenmue games.
  19. Then the upper torso and hip movement.
  20. Decided to put up the rest of the article. Mostly pictures and not focusing on text. The second half of the lesson shows various points of flexibility for the entire skeletal structure and not as detailed as the 'how to make hands' portion. First picture is the materials used.
  21. As much as I hate the toy itself I love that paint job. Have you thought of making a VFX custom? It's not shown in this picture, but the tailfins do have skulls on them.
  22. That's nothing special. Mikimoto has several exhibits and signings each year, some with Broccoli and Art Jeuness. Also the prints are on the cheap side, some of his stuff usually sells for closer to $900. The US branch of Art Vivant had a brochure from a few years ago with $1000-1200 price ranges. The DYRL Minmay is his latest print I believe. I think the figure's nice but it's sort of bland otherwise. The 2005 calendar is sold out now.
