I'll readily admit that who's holding the earing is open to interpretation - I'm not sure of it myself... The rendering is great, the voices are good too. The graphics are great. The music score is wonderfully dark. However - the plot just sucks. It's basically just some random violence - although I do like some of the choreography of the fight scenes - well - two parts mainly: Prowl beating Barricade and the end of the Prime/Megatron fight. I am not a fan of the Alternator/BT designs used but of course I bow my head before the graphics and fluid motion. And I am very pleased with the seekers. I'm kind of scratching my head about Optimus Prime though... I would have prefered if they'd just been more faithful to the Masterpiece rendition. That looks like IDW Prime....or something influenced by it...? But yeah - overall a very nice piece of work. Just wish the plot was better. By this point - nothing they do will get me to buy an ROTF figure. Yes, the Leader Prime is the best of the lot. Yes, huge improvement over 07 version. Yes the paint apps are wow. No, I'm not gonna buy him. I usually like having an entire collection. I have no use for one robot from the Movie line.... with nobody to boss around, beat up or get beaten up by. Pete

Meanwhile, I'm still living in season 1. I'll be happy to forray into season 2 as soon as I get done rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion for the six millionth time... BUT YAY! My Haruhi Suzuymiya Figma figures have (Almost) arrived! They are being taxed by the customs office as we speak! Hopefully, I will have them in hand next week. I snagged up Asahina and Haruhi as cheerleaders/baseball players as well as summer school Haruhi (with the Kyon-love kiss hair!). I can't wait to play with them I just need to find Kyon though... buying It...i...that one other guy alone somehow doesn't feel right... Hopefully Kyon will be plentiful again soon. Pete

That's interesting - because that could also mean that the title is not a statement about Sheryl being "fake" while Ranka is "real" It sounds like it's more about a personal tragedy - the tragedy of two girls, both of whom had dreams to become singers, and who were manipulated by others - made into something fake and artificial - fabricated - and this is their struggle for authenticity - Sheryl's ultimate rebellion against Grace, and Ranka's rebellion against NUNS using her as a weapon. Both Sheryl and Ranka rebell against the way they are manipulated and used are artificial songstresses. Both of them seek out their own authentic voice - Ranka by joining the Vajra, Sheryl by fighting against Grace on the side of NUNS (unaware about Leon's complicity). The problem of falsety and manipulation are big in MF - so this would all make much more sense than the way the title sounds as just "False Songstress" which is kind of one-sided and lame. Pete

I agree that it's not very military looking, but it does look like something that a former theatre actor who dressed up as a girl and is in love with an S&M lesbian and an underaged alien girl would fly. On a related note - it's not the same as being banned... but have you guys ever left a website or stopped frequenting as often as you might because you figured they MIGHT ban you? I basically have stopped frequenting a whole lot of Transformers sites that I used to hang out in - largely because I have become so dissapointed in Transformers that at one point, I noticed that all my posts were critical (kind of like my posts in our MW TF thread). It was just 'this alt mode sucks," that sucks, this is terrible, G1 rulz... bla bla bla Noticing this, I have tried to really limit how much I post in TF forums and follow the rule of thumb that if I don't like something, I just shouldn't stand up in a a virtual crowd of people who love the thing saying "this sucks!" Then again, sometimes people ask questions like "what do you think of.." and get mad when you actually answer them... Pete

Well technicaly I forgot Ranka's carrot too And notice how Sheryl is alone with her music, while Ranka has Alto's VF-25 flying just above looking out for her. It's all symbolism. Sheryl without her captain's hat and alone is a parable for unrequited love, a love that goes unanswered. The lack of a captain's hat means she's not in charge, despite her black boots and S&M outfit - she would like to be - but she's not got her captain's hat, and therefore - she is not really in control, and thus is alone and without her "slave" Alto. Meanwhile, Ranka, even without her carrot, is all smiley and happy because she has Alto protecting her. Alto does it because he loves her. Do people really want to add yet another "must buy" to their already overburdened budgets? The newest upcoming mould from Bandai is the Quarter. I personally have nothing against waiting until mid-2010 for the VF-27. Pete

Ok - I can understand this point and the desire for clarity. But I think we as members need to keep something in mind here: What if YOU were a mod? What if you had to firmly and definitively ANSWER these questions rather than just ask them? What if YOU said "yes" to somebody but then another mod said "maybe not?" What I'm getting at is this: It's not like the mods are all knowing beings with access to secret knowledge that the rest of us lack. They are trying to do something imprecise here - namely allow for a fanart thread where we can post pics that, actually, are all adult in nature and theme to some extent. The reason why they have to be careful has nothing to do with their personal preferences, but rather with keeping Macrossworld safe from people who might judge even the mildest picture of Klan or Ranka as being something it's not - and something which could get MW in trouble. It is in our interest as members who love Macrossworld to also think in these categories when posting fan art. This is not a precise science. This is not math. There are no equations here. Sometimes - you will get an "ok" from a mod and then get a "actually no." Sometimes there will be confusion. DO NOT take it personally and DO NOT get into fights or force a debate about the "details" of the rules regarding fanart because that only annoys people who are actually trying to help us all by providing this forum and maintaining it. That's how I see it. Just use you own judgement. Be civil and respectful if someone disagrees with it. I think judging by the last FORTY SIX pages of this thread - the mods are attempting to give as much room for expression - even erotic expression - as is physically possible on this board. Pete

My preference would be to never have the MF characters voiced over. I hate voice overs, dubs and the like. Foriegn language movies are better with subs IMO Pete
