1. Heh. It's on hold for a bit, while I work on my Wonderfest project (which may or may not be entirely in vein -- I've got 4 days left to finish it). I'm building a resin kit of the Starblade, a space fighter from a Namco arcade game of the same name. I should be pretty damn cool, if I can finish it 400936 I'm going to be there too. Though I won't have anything to enter.
2. I paid $1800 for the Volks Jagd Mirage Twin Tower model.
3. Yamato is smaller than Toynami? I don't think that's true... Yes, Toynami has the GCM license through HG. This whole thing is silly, the design costs are already sunk, what else could be so prohibitively expensive? I think this smacks of either a craptastic way of getting publicity and being able to up an already inflated MSRP or a way of covering the fact that Toynami is actually in such dire financial straits that they can't do anything more than 3 cents a unit Imen. 395857 Or is an early excuse for vaporware.
4. The comparison to Volks and WSC resin kits is entirely inappropriate to this secario. Those kits tend to have dozens of intricate and delicate parts. There is no comparison. This kit would be better compared to figure kits for parts breakdown and complexity. Being a FSS fan I just could let that one pass.
5. 1/200th it is. Now someone needs to make a 1/200th scale Prometheus to go with that Daedalus model. The shuttle needs to lauch from some deck right?
6. For larger craft I suggest that we avoid the metric model scales and make them in 1/144th scale to go with other SST kits.
7. I have a start to the CAD file I was going to use as a pattern. I can finnish that up and pass it on to whoever wants to do the master.
8. The one in 1/72nd used to be in my to-do list. I would get one if it were on par with the Ghost kit.
9. I hear ya. I only made 30 and was sick of making them.
10. At what point do you just outsource the casting to someone who does it full time? If it is too much you can go through Starship Modeler's services. I had to give up on the Galactica when I had over 150 requests. I just sold the pattern outright and that allowed me to move on to the next project.
11. You could try fabric paint. It's basically a paintable rubber/vinyl.
12. Got mine today. There awesome. I really like the squishy parts.
13. Bite your toungue! It just amazes me at the totaly random manner with which the US Post Office has distributed these kits. I am at a total loss in predicting when my kits will show up.
14. They could have shown how hate is passed on the the next generation forever perpetuating the same ugly politics.
15. Nothing has shown up here yet. I'm getting bummed out.
16. We don't know that for certain at all. I think the Pegasus is going to get blown up by terrorists.
17. Why should SK redisign the ONE perfect design of his?
18. One thing you NEED is a pin vise. And a set of nice jewlers files. Look through this site. It's kind of the Model builders Wish book. http://www.micromark.com/
19. Graphic tape is an obsolete product that still has some use today. It was indeed originally used to produce perfect wide lines in artwork used in drafting and print layout. But computers have put the need for it out the airlock. It is mainly usefull for masking now.
20. We're becoming a Multinational Corporation here at MW. We're unstopable and nothing will stand in our way. Except for the price of resin and rubber.
21. I'm not joking when I say, "Who needs Tanmen when you got honneamise?" I hope you keep cranking out these great models.
22. Pudknocker is used in "The Right Stuff".
