  1. The name Haradrim is very derivitive of Harad. A popular name in the Historical Palastinian territories. There are black people referenced in the books. And the Easterlings are your Asiatic people.
  2. And they hold those rights for Macross too. Didn't stop Yamato Valks from getting out. The rights are for anywhere OUTSIDE of Japan. I think.
  3. I have all the Macross artbooks so just PM or email me for info. Also there are some quality bootlegs of Macross Perfect Memory that wouldn't be a sin to tear up for scanning. Just an FYI, 1/2500th scale is another VERY popular scale. It would make the SDF-1 only 19" though.

  5. I have a contact at a major retail outlet that will call me when they come in. (Not supposed to do that, but I have been shopping at that store during my lunch breaks for 9 years and have earned some loyalty from a long term employee there. Here's to hoping for tomorrow.)
  6. The ONLY reagion free thing was that the first batch of PS2's in Japan were reagion 0 DVD players. Sony fixed this "oversight" immediately.
  7. That one won't do Deathblossom in the kit.
  8. Not everything they sell is a recast. You might call to find out if it's from them or under license. But otherwise I agree.
  9. Anyone who buys something has the right to resell it. Unless it's CD's tapes or DVD's. (Techincally that is.) The complaining about people doing what they have the right to do is sad. The worst thing Sony could have done is announce another postponement of the PS3. The problems with violence and poffiteering is not the fault of Sony. It's the fault of the obsessive gaming cuture. The gaming culture is almost as bad as the Gangsta culture.
  10. If what I read is true I'll be running my HD TS files of Battlestar Galactica from DVD to my TV. I may try the Linux install too.
  11. I'll make the phone call next week and see what's up.
  12. Nothing compares to the FM Falcon except maybe th 32 Master Replicas Falcon that goes for $2500. If you wan't to make the OLD MPC Falcon (The Falcon model you mention is actually from the '70's and the cutaway was a modification of the same kit.) to look good you will have to fork out $100 for the resin detail upgrades.
  13. You know what they say...You can't rip the willing.
  14. I would be ALL over the SDF-1. I prefer the TV version myself but the movie one is good too.
  15. Yes it started that way. But it never went back to cruiser in the film. Or ever if you look at the continuity from the movie to the other series.
  16. I doubt it. The last few releases by imai had all three heads in one box.
  17. No Glaug, just a Regult so far.

  19. There are resin recasts of this kit on Hobbyfan.com and E2046.com.
  20. It is going to be the industry standard for displaying 1080P imagery to those super expensive TV's. So for gameplay it ins't really going to be that big a deal unless you have a super cool TV. It's far more critical for viewing movies on the BD drive though.
  21. The line at my Gamestop was already over 8 people.
  22. The MKII from Federation Models is far superior. It's a total gem. It's well worth what they are charging. I can say that you will be waiting for a while on new Galactica stuff. November should be the month for an announcement. Developement will begin after that. I can't wait for this to go into motion.
  23. The ERTL Tie fighter twin pack looked like it could have been tooled by Hasegawa. And I wonder if they did get the upper crust toolmakers for that kit. As for new BSG kits... Wait for it.
  24. Did anyone catch the Burger King "Eat like Snake" commercial during that broadcast. It was just as funny.
  25. Hold on until November for news on the New Galactica series styrene kits. I can't tell you where this comes from yet.
