Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
Valkyrie addict replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
bleh...still not impressed, the waist just look terrible... so Bandai has been working on 1/60, 1/72, 1/100 and they all look bulky.... maybe if they would have just concentrated on one scale they would've make it better -

damn it, why....why....why they had to kill off Michael.... -
hmmmm...I was initially not a big fan of the bubble canopy but when I got my 1/60 v2.0 is not that noticeable for me, so I don't think this will bother me too much, although I would prefer the longer sleeker canopy of the VT but hey, life isn't perfect
-
hahaha...bought two instead!!! tell the wife that one is for storage and think of it as an investment that can later be worth enough for a very nice Louis Vuitton handbag for her hehehe....hey, be careful, don't waste everything so quickly, remember that Yamato is releasing valks faster than some people change underwear

f*cking hackers and their f*cking virus...what's the point of ruining other people...bastards

sweet thanks, I guess the gunpod stays as it is... I don't know if you misunderstood me or if I'm misunderstanding's you Ruskii, but the color I was referring was for the gunpod; I absolutely love the medium gray I used for the VF-11 and by hell I'm gonna repaint it... anyway, it's all panel lined now.... PMS (that's Perfect Modeller Syndrome ), hit me and ended up fixing the wing hinge so the wings get to extend, also, the forward canards were being a pain thanks to IHP crappy design and they kept breaking, so I had to add a pin to them, tried to use the pin so the canards could pivot, but they were too thin and just lock them as they are suckers almost done! damn, it's been almost a month with this already...wow oh yeah, NB4M...Monster with revy joint, that would kick so much ass... hahaha but I already have this little fellow waiting to get jointed after I finish with this kit and take a long break

Macross Frontier Episode 20 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
Valkyrie addict replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
sh!t, I actually yelled angrily shocked when Michael got stabbed! but I was like... hey, it's 2050 something, I'm sure if he's taken in time they could save him and then bam, get's suck out to space... and Michael was such a cool character...bastard anyway, great episode, I will still vote positive but I have one complaint, the animation was one of the worst thing I've seen in all my life, and I hate when such a great episode is animated so incredibly poorly, just awful, leaves me a bittersweet feeling of how such a good episode got ruined for me, for a moment I thought I was watching an animefriend SDFM episode... damn! I mean, the part were topless loli-klan confesses to Michael looked like if I was looking through one of those fun mirrors from carnivals that distort everything, so bad I wanted to gouge my eyes out I just realized something, Ranka is Basara!! stupid bitch! 20 episode and she's still a little brat with next to no character development and people get killed cause of her and she doesn't give a sh!t ack....angry that Michael got killed! -
thanks guys, since you guys are enjoying this so much, another pic with slighty better lighting... the gunpod is made out of putty, but I'm particularly proud of the bayonet knife that I carved out of spare hasegawa sprue plastic, hehehe, ended up quite sharp too and I took some creative artistry making it sawlike so, what do you guys think, is the color alright or should I keep experimenting, I was thinking maybe I should paint a very light gray and apply the green wash over it to try and achieve the color I'm looking for, but lazyness is striking me and thinking about leaving it like this and continue with the valk oh well, here's the pic, static pose, want you to get a good look at the gunpod

Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development
Valkyrie addict replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
hahaha...Yamato could make the 1/60, weathered it and add the Monster girl pin up.... mark it limited and we can see how this will sell on ebay for thousand of dollars and bitch about the horrible shipping fees the seller has marked for it -
I guess it depends on your display situation if you want to display something cool looking but conventional that won't stand out like a sore thumb when you have guests....go with the VF-0A, but if you just don't give a damn and want a cool looking blue valk that screams look at me, go with the 21 since the 21 is one of your options, it means your willing to dish 200+ for this, so if you get the VF-0A...go with ghost combo and you'll be sure to get an improved version and not first release that will be a floppy breaking mess whatever you pick, you'll love it

Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development
Valkyrie addict replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
DAMN, imagine Yamato's oversized box for this... -
I use regular spray paint primer, I find it adheres very well to all the kits I've build, but the joints were very easy to paint and no chipping, I thought it was going to be problem but came out without a hitch, only thing is that I masked the part that goes into the socket cause the extra layer of primer/paint will make the joint hard to move on the socket; you also need to move the joint to paint it its complete circumference anyway, I'm having a hard time painting the gunpod, not sure what color to go for, the gunpod is a very pale kind of grayish green and I can't get it right, and I don't like Yamato's toyish green for the GNU, anyway, I was experimenting and ended up just using a dark green wash on the gunpod just for kicks and it actually looks kinda cool well, enough blah blah, pics as promised, the gunpod actually looks a light green all around but the flash hides it still need to paint some details on the gunpod, fix the tip of the barrel (look close, it's broken, stupid putty), but what do you guys think, does it look ok or should I experiment more trying to get the color right? and I still haven't panel line and decal the valk, hehehehe... so...>EXO< what project are you on?? if it's as cool as your Thunder Hummer, God helps us all... thanks for you looking EDIT: syntaxes owns me
-
yeah, I painted the ball joints, the paint actually adhered to it much better than the resin, haha! and it's not chipping unlike the rest of the model the vf-1s roy got replaced already, bought a replacement that came along with my 1/60 v2.0 anyway, this model will definately be a prototype, I've had a hell of a hard time working with it's flaws, I wanted to make the wings to able to extend but the swing hole kept breaking cause it was just way too thin and everytime I had to reattach I had to break open the back and I'm sick of it, gonna try something else to try and keep it like that but if not, I'll just glue the damn thing, no real need to had the wings extend anyway, will post some pics later tonight, specially of the gunpod, I need your guys opinion on how it's coming up cause I'm not really sure about it...

Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development
Valkyrie addict replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
hmm...darker gray...as long as it's not as light as the GNU I'm happy with it hahaha! detachable vf-11 cockpit, this is a Macross 7 thing...so Yamato doesn't have the license to make it detachable, hahahaha! -
I wonder if I'll ever be able to do something like this outstanding job Capt!
-
oh...thanks guys close up pics will be coming soon, i had a little accident with the paint and had to repaint a few parts *ugggggggggg* and as usual having a lot of issues with chipping and doing a lot of clear coating to try and prevent this, but I think it's coming about really beautiful, waiting for the last clear coat to cure so I can panel line and decal, also working on the gunpod...

Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development
Valkyrie addict replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
oh sweet, thanks Graham for the info! I got a question, I assume the first release of the vf-11 will be Isamu's, so, will the UN Spacy Kite be tampoed gray instead of the red one used for the GNU Doi?? since Yamato is tampo printing all of this I wouldn't like a mistake like this ... hehehe I'm really eager for this one... -
so, exactly how limited is this Roy?? are they still available in Japan?
-
hmm...you're right, but if the seller bought 3 of this with the intention of selling, is because he knew they would most likely go for much more than what he payed for but, thinking about it, you can't really blame him, but the people who accept to pay this much for it...
-
thanks, I had already downloaded ConvertXtoDVD but was still crashing...I decided to try it again with other mkv files and it appears to only crash with episode 16 of the gg subs... weird....
