Well, the gun on the big Mac is its own separate ship, so basically it's a gun pod, and apparently the only way to operate any gun pod in macross is through the use of fingers. as for the transformation, I've always liked to believe that they retained the transformation because NUNS tactical doctrine dictates that if using the main cannon isn't an option and other weapons systems are ineffective, then the macross is to transform to storm attacker mode, move in and beat the crap out of the enemies’ capital ships (Admittedly there's absolutely no reason to believe this, but it would be pretty awesome to see the Big Mac Falcon Punch a Vajra Carrier. )

or if they had the fighters came with the batroid figure. also gerwalk would be really good.

totaly agree here. a GN-U size fighter that doesn't transform really wouldn't do much of anything that would make me want one.

yeah, that's what they should be doing with this line, make the oddball valks that weren't actually in anything, like the armored gerwalk and the stamped valk

wow... just wow... AANNNYYYWWAAYS... I think they'll have a season 2 for Frontier, I kind of think once the Vajra storyline is resolved this season, the next season will be about dealing with Grace and the Galaxy. Further down the line I would like to see any of the fallowing: 1) a macross prequel set before zero that focuses on the development of the VF-1, basically "The Right Stuff" with transforming aircraft. 2) something set in the time frame between 2012 and mac+ so we can see all the little featured valks (VF-14; VA-3; etc.); and 3) something set around or after the time period of frontier that's not about military or war at all. Instead involving civilian valks, like a pro stunt team or Valk racing. Really though, we'll probably see something completely different from what we think we will

I gotta say, that would be the most depressing way you could possibly end the show, ever. well if they didn't drag out the character and plot development, they wouldn't be able to make a second season.

exactly what I'm talking about. also, I've seen a white pick-up truck around where i live. it has a black stripe along the side with '001' on the rear corner of the bed side; and on the door it has of all things the spacy kite from MacII.

you know, considering that the kit can hold together when on the display stand, I'm begining to think that the supprt peice isn't to hold up the plane cause it's floppy like we thought, but rather it's to take weight of the landing gear so they don't buckle or break over time. Bandai's NON-transformable kit's can get floppy over time. they can also be floppy out of the box. bandai models are awsome but they arn't exactly rock solid.

and from there we'll have a Captain Harlock sequal, "Space Pirate Captain Wilder!"

I'm going with the obvious choice. They’ve done so much setting up between alto and sheryl that it's like he's all but picked her already. if buy the end of it they had alto either not choosing here or immediately moving on to someone else after she dies it would really kill my opinion of the show and would total ruin alto as a character. but if she dies and he moves on to someone else I'm thinking it will be klan.

More like Sheryl dies and in the end Shin I mean Alto and Ghost Sheryl fly off into the sunset in a destroyed VF-25 with contrails of feathers. and at that point I'll never watch macross again. Seriously though, I'm starting to get a little worried about where the show is going. With only 3 episodes to go it feels like there are too many questions to answer in such a short amount of time. The show's either going to end up like zero and have a completely "wha?" ending with lots of unanswered questions, or they're going to throw out a bunch of cheap cop-out answers so they can end it (which will utterly suck). Course maybe they're setting up for a second season or an OVA .
