  1. No matter what anyone says about 4, it didn't have farting Kate Capshaw and her high pitched shrieking every 15 seconds. for that reason alone it's a better movie. also short round is the worst character ever.
  2. 2001 is the greatest Science fiction film ever made. end of discussion.
  3. I think the too-low leg placement isn't nearly as bad as the ridiculously elongated intakes. The battroid mode looks like it's got a pair of big saggy granny boobs.
  4. the monkey vine swinging crap was pretty stupid but other than that I liked it. The alien skull thing doesn't bother me, I mean the second movie had f*cking GLOWING ROCKS.
  5. I liked 4 goddammit. it was better than 2. It needed more Sean Connery though.
  6. phhh... russia=superior. as for 2 barrels for no logical reason WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW!!!
  7. +1 I love the Gnerl... also a QF-3000 ghost would be cool although I don't know how well all the fins and bits would hold up in Vinyl
  8. I would lol heartily. and considering the next MoH looks like it could be very not shit... (actually I'd find it both funny as hell and awesome if everyone at IW jumped ship and made an unofficial MW3 under the MoH name.)
  9. that is a great idea! This thread is now about the M249
  10. activision is the worst company ever... F*ck them. at least there's still a chance BioShock 3 won't suck.
  11. The saw movies are awful. I hate them passionately and I wish everyone involved in there production be anally raped to death by a horse, who has AIDS.
  12. I really don't know why I'm so fascinated with the shitty production/concept art from shadow chronicles. Odd combination of morbid curiosity and disbelief that anyone could think this was a good idea. speaking of disbelief: really...(this is the first time I've ever seen the infamous transforming jeep thing.) :edit: actually, you know what would make this totally not fail; if they had 4 ride armors transform into arms and legs then attach to it.
  13. after a dozen transformations Mine is still fresh-out-of-box pristine also, how many people actually use the intake covers this came with? Personally I think they kind of look like little deformed kidney beans.
  14. I think $200 puts it in danger of never going to happen. it's really hard to sell a (macross) toy at over $200 no matter how good it is. Perfect example is the Quarter; it's an amazing toy but they're already having clearance sales on it. Personally I think a Regult with no internal detail (no pilot, no cockpit) and lots of articulation (basically a 1/60 scale version of the Revoltech Regult) priced at about $100 would sell better and be more realistic than a full detail Regult with cockpit for $200. That said I would like to see an updated version of the Q-rau or a 1/60 Glaug before a Regult (unless it's a tactical scout, I want that). In fact I'd rather have a 1/60 Gnerl fighter than a 1/60 regult. I highly doubt it.
  15. agreed, this smells decidedly of bullshit. :edit: I do like the 2 (and only 2) customer testimonials. Also the broken english on there privacy and condition of use page are pretty lulzy.
  16. OK, small bit of backtracking but I just noticed that the Cheyenne II has an AP machine gun on it's crotch. also since the Cheyenne I is described as having an anti-personnel machine gun, does that mean it's got a gun on it's crotch too?
  17. actually I was hoping for a grace pilot sculpt with the finless-head beta.
  18. all I'm saying is the 51 on the nose looks crooked and more pixilated than the rest of the picture. maybe it's just a crappy picture.

  20. yeah, the front toe articulation is probably the most underwhelming part of the toy, if you fiddle with the ball joint in the ankle you can get a bit more forward movement in the whole foot. the best way is to just angle the leg using the thigh swivel so that you're getting both forward and sideways lean on the ankle, as there's plenty of side to side movement. Anyways, I really love this toy but it makes all the problems with the VF-25 that much worse. I actually want a VF-25 to go with my -27 now but not one that's such a downgrade. As for the green VF-27, I'm holding out hope that after the strait repaint web exclusive they'll also do a beta version with the fin-less head from the model kit and new pilot sculpts
  21. what forum have you been browsing? pretty much ever thread in the toy section is "X brand sucks and there products are crap and I'm never buying from them again until the next time I do." at some point or another. as for bandai VF's vs Yamato VF's: Yamato's will always catastrophically brake in some way (usually right out of the box); they also cause Cancer, autism and global warming. Bandai's are floppy, chunky, have terrible paint and the money made from selling them is used to finance terrorism.
  22. has anyone bothered to do an actual review on one of these? how is the articulation/construction? I kind of want to get one.
  23. the VF-27 has more posability than the VF-25 in the legs because it has a mid-thigh swivel joint and greater range of motion in the knees and the special Gerwalk joint just after the intake. But the swing bars get in the way of the leg moving at the hip joints a little bit, you kind of have to work around them but it's still pretty posable. (example: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=833958 ) As for the crotch thing: it's an extra joint on the torso that acts kind of like a waist joint. You can detach the part behind the crotch from the rest of the torso, which has the effect of letting you get a more anime-accurate amount of crotch thrust and a pathetic amount of useful waist articulation at the cost of the toy becoming incredibly unstable in all but the most basic poses. At least on mine the extra joint is very loose (it's the only loose joint on the toy by the way) and the toy wants to flop over unless you have the back of the legs leaning against the swing bars enough to prop it up. it doesn't really improve articulation or range of motion and the extra crotch thrust is (in my opinion anyways) not worth the loss of stability.
