  1. You keep using this phrase but you don't know what it means. Frankly, I don't know what it means either. But I think the crazy gypsy lady off of route 301 might.
  2. What's the reasoning for the main sensors being red rather than green? Are they red in DYRL? Or did they just want more contrast for their OD versions? As for ground crew, isn't it about time we get some space-suited dudes? Might be our only chance to get some of those SDF Macross space ground-crew outfits in plastic.
  3. Phalanx looks promising. Does Yamato ever intend to release versions of the destroids that have ALL the markings tampoed on? I'd love to see destroids in the classic colors, no weathering, and with all the classic markings tampoed on. But unless or until they release them like that I'll probably stay away. Though a Spartan might tempt me regardless. Also, I wonder if they'd ever make this variant:
  4. So... No news about a possible Phalanx or, more importantly, Spartan? No 1/60th Regult mentioned over the weekend? Or Glaug? No GNU-Dou TV version SDF Macross that can run around Daedalusing my other robots in the butt?
  5. You mean like "Orbot"? http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2992 And yeah, VT-102 was most definitely a trainer, what with its international orange paintscheme and its VT designation and its labeled "student" seat, it's rather silly to say otherwise.
  6. Regarding the Daicon version of the Macross, here's the relevant vid: The Macross appears at about 2 minutes and twenty seconds in. It's the TV version of the Macross and its new arms are the Arcadia and Yamato, which clearly makes it by far the most awesome version of the Macross that could ever exist in any universe.
  7. The TV and DYRL versions are actually shaped rather differently. Yamato would probably have to make an all new sculpt for the TV version. Elsewise there would be no end of nerd rage. TV version for me. It's the one I saw first, and the one that made it through 36 episodes of classic anime.
  8. I remember reading that, but it's not what the thing looks like in the galleries I saw. But maybe those were just painted protos that were sent out for shop displays or something. Those Tamashi pics look much better. Eh. I'm sure there will be no end of reviews/thoughts on this site in relatively short order.
  9. I thought it was already out. I've certainly seen a few galleries of the thing on Toysdaily over the last week. Looked shitty though. Bright blue canopy. A cheap painted-pvc look; like the FIX figures. Feh.
  10. A Regult is about the only high-end toy I'd buy from Yamato at this point. If they're skittish about sinking the cash into such a beast, (as well they should be in this economy) maybe they could at least make a GN-U Dou version. I'd totally buy that. What's up with the GN-U Dou line anyways? Isn't it about time they announced some more classic super bots for that line? Maybe throw in the Dorvack mechs since they made other bots from the same studio; it'd be a nice cheap alternative for those not willing to shell out for the CMs version just now.
  11. That's the stuff. Yeah, F-14 was one that I thought of. Even if it does cant a few degrees, I figured it was close enough to vertical to rate a comparison to a toy. The other was the Su-27/30. I think that has to be vertical because of the stabilators. And really, that just happens to be about the extent of my knowledge. I generally don't know nuthin' 'bout no aero-planes.
  12. You know better than that. At least two real-world examples come to my mind. I'm sure you could think of more.
  13. Is there anything to stop Yamato from releasing a VF-1S in a factory-perfect Jetfire paintscheme, minus the autobot emblem, and just calling it "Vermillion Special Super Type" or some such nonsense? Once they could pull in the TFers it'd be like printing cash in their basement.
  14. I'd love to see some destroids in the GNU Dou line. Hell, all of them. It'd be a great way to get a MkII Monster that's both affordable and light enough to hold more than just a few poses without toppling.
  15. Uh-huh. And there are some other Yamato routines that people should recognize by now.
  16. Gerwalk modes? Hell yes. I'd buy that. Regults? Most definitely. But GN-U Dou fighter modes? No. Seems kinda pointless. All the more so in a line that emphasizes articulation.
  17. Looks like they plan to make the 1/100th line rather extensive... http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-73446-1-1.html
