Hey I voted VF-19, but it is not showing (the thread tells me I voted)? Somebody correct that please!
-
I would say VF-19 But only if they cam make it, without being a mess like the YF-19. Otherwise just go straight for VF-4.

Latest images of Waves 1/100 VF-1, courtesy of Ngee Khiong. Looks like they are really putting effort in this, comes with a stand and Pilot. PS: I had trouble finding this thread. Why are no page numbers visible in the model subsection???

I would have been annoyed if it were not the way it is. But it is quite clear that Capcom has always associated the Shinku-/Hadoken. - CE: slightly faster Hadoken - Turbo: Hit twice with a HP Hadoken and would give you knock down with dizzy - Super Turbo: Shakunetsu, Super - Alpha: Shakunetsu axed and partly intergrated in standard Hadoken -> close up HP Hado will give flame and knock down, retains Shinku - A2: Shakunestu back (I think), Shinku Hadoken - A3: basically like A2, X-Ism has Ryu only with Shinku and not something else like Tastsu or Shin-Shoryu - III: give us another fireball variant => Denjin Hadoken To add to that, most of the game intros always show us a Ryu performing (Shinku-)Hadoken and not Shin-Shoryu.

I agree with you. While I don't think the setup we have for SFIV at moment is really bad, I do think the the super bar has come up a bit short. With game play heavily relying EX-moves, EX focus attacks and meter build up being to slow for my tastes, I just think a one stock superbar isn't enough. Maybe a system where one can decide between a 2/multi-stock superbar or the ultra/super combination would have been better. Oh and worst Fighting game blunder in recent time would have to be SNK's SvC:Chaos, closely followed by Capcom Fighting Evolution/Jam

Technology that you have bought that went nowhere...

I have soft spot for BetaMax, grew up with the system. Come to think of it I think my dad must of been the ultimate Sony fanboy back then. We had a grey Trinitron with those stereo ear speakers, a giant gold BetaMax VCR, a nice little double decker recorder/tuner one and a camera. The double decker was kind of cool, because I think it also came with a special power pack with very longish batteries that you could insert, allowing one to take the equipment outside. Personally, for me the biggest flop was the Nintendo 64. RISC CPU, 64bit, cool 3d graphics... I went oohhh ahhhh at the beginning only to be going boohhh bahhhh later because of poor software support. -

Agent-GHQ, just to confuse you a little more, you could also consider Alienware for your needs. They make pre-built PCs for gamers/enthusiasts and it might be up your alley, albeit it's definitely not the Apple brand. -

What Current Anime Series Are You Watching? v2.0
lechuck replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Another positive vote for Code Geass. Like Ghost Train said S1 is a bit better than S2, but overall I love this show. It was quite tense at times. Also I think this is a million times better than Gurren Lagaan. The hyperbole praise for that show is absolutely ridiculous. -
Gundam Figure Thread - Newtype GN-002
lechuck replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Short answer: No. The GFF Metal Composite Gundam you linked to is 1/100 scale, making the actual toy roughly 18-18.5 cm tall. The smallest Yamato 1/60 Valkyrie (VF-1 ver. 2) is about 24-25 cm tall in Battroid mode. Hope this helps you out.- 6025 replies

I hope so. I find it very annoying when a company makes a mecha toy/model with a detailed cockpit, but there is no pilot figure. I cringe every time I see a <Side KMF> with a cockpit that opens, only to reveal there is no pilot sitting in there.

Wow that VF-19 already looks a million times better than Yamato's, can't wait for the -F and -S to come out. Also crossing my fingers that everything locks tight and firmly, especially in Battroid mode. If I had one nitpick then it would be the position of the hip attachment, ironically it's the opposite problem of the VF-25. It should be the intakes that connect to the main body and not that triangular thing behind it. But whole thing still looks cool as hell, so I can live with it. What Yamato did with the canards is not anime or line art accurate. Funny how no one complained about this, but if Bandai changes something... OMG the world is coming to an end. They will continue with the M7 line. My guess, about midway into VF-19 releases we will get VF-22 then VF-17 and after that VF-11. From M7 the next logical step is M+, bringing us the usual trio.

Bringing this thread back up, because I have question. I bought the PC version via STEAM and basically everything pertaining directly to game works fine. My problem is when I exit the game and then reboot/shutdown, my windows vista system defaults to the SF IV resolution used (1280x720). Is there a way to fix this, anybody else come across this? PS: If anybody wants to play me I'm Guybrush0202.

Favorite obscure/under-rated toyline
lechuck replied to GobotFool's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Talk about thread necromancy, but I agree StarCom was a great line. The Starmax Bomber was the coolest toy to have back then. Hmm, I wonder why this toy line hasn't been revived yet... -
And thank God for that. From what what I've seen of the shaky cam trailer, the mecha are oozing a certain lushness and emotion that really pulls you in. I can do without the sterile CG tech demo that is in Macross Frontier. Really can't wait for this to land on western shores.

Is it wrong for me to still be mightily pissed off, because there is still no BC with the new PS3 Slim?!

Go to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/, download and burn. It's a Linux based boot system that will guide you interactively through the password resetting process. I can attest that it has worked for me. -

Beats me too, why they didn't do it. Most of us where moaning about this already half a year before the line kicked off with the Roy VF-1S. Maybe Graham could share some light into this?!

Nope, the kit is 1/100 as stated in the label under the fighter. I'm just wondering whether 1/100 also applies to the Battroid kit. And before we derail this thread, we should move the Wave model kit discussion to here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=27973
