I missed the Hikaru too. Was forced to pay a bit extra on release day. I really hope I don't have to this time around. But the PO madness on Sunday night is expected to be bad. So will not be too surprised if I end up in the same boat again.

I also expect that I will like fighter mode the best, but after having it on hand and try out gerwalk and battroid mode, I didn't expect to find that both of them looks so nice. I might like them more (much more) than fighter mode. That was a total surprise for me.

Is that VF-25 1/100 scale? Looks nice, where can I get one? Edit: NV, saw Tekering's reply. It is a VF100 line.

So sorry to hear about this and really hope the CDJ one will be perfect. My copy from Amazon.jp also has a small defect. Not as serious as yours. A mark was left on the bronze metallic paint on one of the shins. It looks like the part was press against something before the paint is fully dried. I have been trying to match the paint color with Tamiya dark copper, but it was too light/yellow. Need a bit of dark brown maybe. Alcad copper is too red.

I think my problem is that I am very complacent about returning items. Spoiled by Amazon US and other US online and physical store. I have to be mindful of different policies when shopping outside of US.

Just received a VF1A super. I almost break the hand cover on the arm when I was holding the arm firmly (on the wrong spot) when trying to remove and insert a new hand. That cover has very limited support under it so any pressure from the top will break it on the hinge. There is now a visible stress mark at the seams near the hinge and it has cracked from inside. The cover was only hanging on with only less than half of the original thickness of the plastic. I was lucky that it didn't break right through. Gingerly pry it open and applied some plastic weld at the cracked seams and sort of weld it back together. Will ignore the stress mark on the outside for now (not super visible is you are not looking for it). For good measure, I added some extra support to the inside seams by welding a small "beam" to that corner with the hinge.
