  1. Quickie scanlations from #18: Chronicle: Mechanic MF Citizen 08a: EX-Gear (Extender Gear) http://www.macrossroleplay.org/forums/index.php?topic=2112 Chronicle: Mechanic M7 Barauta Fleet http://www.macrossroleplay.org/forums/index.php?topic=2113 Next issue's cover art is the VF-11B. Judging from that, it looks like the VF-17 will be a B sheet. Is it just me, or is the YF-19 hovering in the Eden worldguide sheet? I'm going to start on the EX-Gear sheet, once I finish the Factory Satellite sheet, later tonight. EDIT: the basic tech specs for the VF-27 are the same as the ones I translated last year, found here: http://www.macrossroleplay.org/forums/index.php?topic=1934.0
  2. There are multiple ways to interpret the English translation. However, given that fold travel allows for faster than light travel, and we know that Eden (11.7 light years from Earth) was explored and colonized in 2013 by humans that left Earth no earlier than January 2012, it's entirely logical that the fold effects travel at the speed of light and the Zentraedi were busy doing something else for the 10 years. This is presuming thatit's the same group of Zentraedi. 10 years is a long time, and it hasn't been clearly established how the war with the Supervision Army progresses - constant battles? Brief encounters followed by years, decades, or centuries of stasis sleep until the next encounter?
  3. Not necessarily. It shows that they have the technology, how it's used, and how badly scortched the Earth is. So, in a roundabout way, we may get a better understanding of the 2050's era and beyond Earth.
  4. Goody! Hmm... good question, especially as the sheets focus on the first attack, and none of the subsequent ones. Though, I'm thinking it could possibly be about a later Zentraedi vs Zentraedi, or even Zentraedi vs Mac7 attack. But that's remote, IMHO. Probably the back-up plan for the Human Seeding plan. (The infamous "Plan B".) ??!?!?
  5. That's a bit disappointing. There's a new release out for mecha of Patlabour, which has reminded me of this book. What is troubling me, is that the Patlabour book is 95% text, little or no lineart, and only a few new pieces of (colour) art. Hopefully, the VF-1 book won't be like it. Fingers crossed.
  6. It's not so much that it took 10 years, but that the defold reaction effects took 10 years to travel to an area that they just happened to be searching in, and were able to detect it. http://macross.anime.net/wiki/2009
  7. Yes, you're made up term. Or, if it works for you, if everyone jumps off of a bridge to their death, you'll be right there with them. Let me enlighten you: in one thread, we have NMCV. Wheither or not the term is valid or not is debatable, nevertheless, it is a term that has been used to nebulously describe the Battle Class ships. NMC is a term that doesn't exist in canon Macross, and is also easily confuseable with NMCV. When I read NMC, I thought you were referring to Battle 25, which is inaccurate, as the scene in question was on the surface of Island 1, which is not a New Macross Class emigration ship, let alone a NMCV ship, if NMCV proves to be canon. Therefore, being lazy and using a personal shorthand is wrong, and my request to spell things out. Of course, it is entirely up to you, but doing so will encourage others to jump off of bridges, further confuse things, and make your posts even more unintelligible.
  8. My, you're quite rude. It's bad enough to tell members to shut up, it's worse that you're assuming that you're made up term will be understood by everyone else. Jeez, grow up, grow a brain, and use one of the accepted terminology.
  9. What is an NMC? If you're referring to the Battle class ships at the front of New Macross Class vessels, then refer to it as such. If you're referring to something else, take the time and type it all out.
  10. And culture is inseperable from language. Anyhow, I think "mankind sowing [seeding] plan" is the term used to describe it, in Macross (as it's far more broad than just emigration).
  11. So, if it's available for an obscene price, stealing is justified?
  12. "Saishūheiki" (Saishuuheiki 最終兵器 The Latest (Last) Weapon/Arm(mament) The component elements parts looks spot on.
  13. Based on the preview, as is, it looks like the movie is focusing on the events in the first 7 or 8 episodes. Does this mean that there'll be a series of Macross movies, a la Evangalion and Zeta Gundam???
  14. Yes. It'd be quite silly to dispatch a giant variable artillery piece, and have it only able to fire any one cannon only once. Macross Chronicle states that the HWR-00 Monster has 28 rounds/shells. It's entirely plausible that the VB-6 also has 28 rounds; given that it's based off of the HWR-00 Monster and that there hasn't been a radical change to the body (mind you, it's possible that there are more rounds, if the VB-6 fires them electromagnetically, and not using gun powder, like the HWR-00 Monster. But that's beyond the scope of your question.)
  15. Gah! I recently acquired the Macross 7 remastered set and watched the M7 Plus episodes, concurrently to rewatching MF episodes...
  16. It's said in the series - "Pink Pecker" (if memory serves correctly, and the translator was accurate).
  17. http://www.new-un-spacy.com/macrossga/uraga-saratoga.htm You may want to revise this to: "Macross 13 Fleet Carrier" ("Kazutaka Miyatake Design Works: 84). Having poked my nose in that book, there's also a line on the Macross 13/Battle 13: "next generation (in the) Macross warship series". It's not clear if it's the next generation of the Macross 5/7 series, or that the Macross 5/7/13 are the next generation of SDF-1 type Macross warship.
  18. ? We're discussing the appropriate name for specific ships in a size chart. It has been proven that the on screen footage is "representative" and not canon. Also, since Mr.March has insisted on a "unification" of all published materials, I have given the one name that ALL published material agrees on: "##th Super Long Range Emigration Fleet".
  19. None of the (M7) emigrant ships (aside from City class ship 7) are given a class. Without any further information, and it doesn't look there will be any coming, I'm of the conclusion that they are one of a kind ships.
  20. That's presuming that the next production won't be included in MC
  21. Hmmm... aside from the Compendium, I can't find a size figure (other than Macross Chronicle) for the Factory Satellite. Does anyone know the source of the size figure in the Compendium?
  22. Started translation of the Factory Satellite sheet. Quickie scanlation: Therefore, it's highly probable that: a) the first Factory Satellite captured is around 500 Km, b) a later captured 5 Km Factory Satellite is in Earth orbit in 2051, and is what the Macross 13 is seen launching/flying over in VF-X2, c) the Mother Plant is the 3,000 Km tall monstrosity (presumably capable of manufacturing Fulbitzs-Berrentzs Class Fleet Flagships), d) we have yet to have been shown the Mother Plant or non Fulbitzs-Berrentzs Class fleet mother ships (assuming that the Zentraedi warships that we have been shown to date are not being referred to as mother ships. Which is a fairly big assumption; as both 母艦 vs 空母 have been used in describing the same Vajra ship).
  23. Finished the Zora Patrol Corps Ship. Started on the Factory Satellite.
  24. RIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP it apart! Yeah, baby, yeah. FYI: if the binder is too expensive, purchase another 3-ring binder from your local stationary store that better suits your wallet.
