  1. I saw this toys in my local hobby shop... I skip them because they looked... cheap. I guess I will have to pick up one and check it out. Thanks for the comments guys. SPL
  2. I got the Garland yesterday thanks to Neova (Thanks Anthony!!). I had no time to sit and carefully check it but I can give you guys some first impressions. The Garland is mostly ABS plastic just like the 1/48 Valks, comes with the Pilot, one Gun and the HUGE Yamato Box all full of... air. The pilot is nicely painted but is no where near the Chirico figure Yamato made for the 1/12 Scopedoggie, so don’t expect too much. In fact the pilot was a bit of a let down for me, arms and parts falls apart all the time and he is only in "seated position". Very cool looking for display tough… but I wanted to play with the little figure… The Bike mode is NICE. Wheels turn (somebody asked that) and it holds together nicely. The legs stay in position via Magnets... no problem with mine, it holds fine. But this is not a 1/55 ABS BRICK like the old Valks so it must be handled with some love. The Robot mode same as the bike is totally NICE. Holds fine and there are no parts flopping around. It feels sturdy. Poseability is really-really good. The head of the garland is fantastic, no seam lines, nice details and SENSORS!! WHY they don’t give us a VF 1S head and VF OS head like this one!! They always have to leave the stupid seam line in the middle of the face in our poor valks... Hands are also nice; it holds the gun without problems but not strongly. Anyways it can be posed without problems. Some people was worried about the Magnets, in my opinion they work really fine (at least in my toy), specially on the bike mode, in Robot mode only one of the two magnets (4 in total) will be used, this is not really a problem but it may "feel" loose. Plastic is nice but Yamato used a SUPPA Glossy ABS plastic. Not like the Mate finishing of the valks. This makes it looks too Toy-ish. Despite you like this or not it looks really well made and feels high quality. Well, you can always spray a matt coat and get rid of the glossy plastic. It really screams for a custom job, weathering or detailing at least... it will make this bike look totally great. Paint job is good. This are all first impressions, so far I am really satisfied with the Garland. It is one cool toy.
  3. Pretty sure Yamato will release a low Viz VF 0.... they will milk the molds. At least I Hope so.
  4. No worries Guppy, we all know you are a slow guy. We are nice people you know.
  5. I don't see where that site says it's out.... 404204[/snapback] Home page, sroll dowm and check the "jnew Item List"
  6. Wooow... that Garland looks Awful compared with the Yamato, anyways for a 80's toy that was a dream toy. The hands look nice BTW.
  7. It is definetelly out. http://www.1999.co.jp/asp/GoodsDetails_e.a..._right101_e.asp
  8. I guess it depends on the kind of job you may have and the position of course. If you are a designer then I guess it is no problem to have some toys arround your computer, like some of my employees here. Girls have all those cute little plastic toys on top of the monitors... Hello Kitty, My melody, you name it. In my position I am totally screwed, If I have TOYS in the shelfes of my office instead of serious books, cathalogs and important people pictures... my clients will run away and my employees will loose respect. So I have to get all my stuff at home and locked away from my son and visitors. It feels so unfair.
  9. Mcfarlane and FIX Gundams have one thing in common. Both are PVC CRAP. As the big guy said "I POO ON PVC", and I cant agree more.
  10. No way, the weathering in those pics are totally pro. You can easily see the airbrush and all the shadings. SO dIFFERENT from our Low Vis (1rst vertion). If you want that kind of wathering you will have to do it yourself.
  11. I guess I will HAVE to weather. It looks 10000x better, same as the Yamato Scopedoggie. Thanks for the pics Graham!
  12. OUCH!!!! SORRY I MADE A MISTAKE! I WAS REFERRING TO THE 1/48 SCALE, NOT THE 1/60!!! Actaully I dont even own a 1/60 mostly because it is crappy... like all the 1/60 Yamato line (not considering the VF 0). Sorry!
  13. Wellcome to MW Sharrd! In my oppinion Yamato made a really sweet job with the GBP, it is actually better than what I was expecting. I really recommend you to get a set, it is a really really cool "toy". You won't regret getting one.
  14. I dunno those Japs and I feel NO SHAME about it . All because I am cool and I do have a lot of Valks. Also... who needs a funky painted box? It is gonna end in the trash bin anyways considering it is made out of the WORST quality cardbord in China and it pack more air than Valk. Muaaa ha ha
  15. I got one here in Shanghai (still cant beleive it) and mine was totally fine. The only problem I have found so far is the skull in Roy's helmet is a bit out of place, rest is all fine. The toy is actually a beauty, much better than I was hoping. I also liked the plastic not being white, it looks a bit more "real" that the 1/48s. The toy "feels" more delicate, specially the legs. The few things I didnt like much are: The feets dont "clicks" in to the extended position, after you pull them out and open them they are way too loose, anyways the toy can perfectly stands by itself. The ball jointed arms, I hope the wont get loose in time, but if that happens it is a damn easy fix, Hands on my VF0 cant hold the gunpod properly Paint job is also extremelly nice. All in all the VF 0 is a great toy, best thing from Yamato till now IMO.
  16. AGAIN I cant attach the picture... damn. will try later
  17. I made the Armored Core Gaia model a month ago and fitting was not a problem. Some small parts definetelly need to be glued, but generally speaking I was very happy with the model. Poseability is good. here some pics of the finished model:
  18. Besides the bad QC feedback... the toy looks awsome. I cant whait to get it.
  19. You did same with the low Vis??
  20. And now there is nothing you can do... get a good lawyer.
  21. Zincpanic Panic said it is 2.5 puounds of diecast... dunno how much is that. here is the picture:
  22. Come on Wolfx, be nice and show your bird to 1 VF-12NV... he is calling you MASTER already.
  23. I dont remember exactly the %, but it was the hands, head and some joints. I have a picture of the toy without paint, there yu can clearly see the diecast content. Shoudl be like 90% i guess?? dunno, I am really bad at guessing. I will post that pic as soon as I find it.
  24. Yeah... keep them comming, we wanna see this FOR SO LONG! cant whait to compare the Bat mode with the SHE Kit (proportions and so on. By theway, did your friend mentioned anything about the poseability and it he can stant in Robot mode without falling appart?? I am really interested in how strong this kit is. I also see screws... so It is like a SHE kit or you will need to Pin-glue him??
