  1. G-Man Would be Graham. And he is Married. Godzila is in love with toys and computer thingies, there is no space or time for womans and that is why he dont like hearing all this MW members who like to cry, complain and argue like girls.
  2. Whooooo hooo another "YAMATO BASHING THREAD!!" Really creative. It is Ok to point these problems, but how often these threads are popping is getting a bit annoying. As I always say, I still remember paying 400 for a Chunky Monkey back in the days, old and yellowed… over 1000 for a mint one… So I don’t mind paying for an accurate Valk. I kind of agree with some of the "Q.C. problems" many of you addressed , price is not bad (I am in Asia), and quality is unstable but allways fixable (at least I have fixed all my toys and have fun doing it). Maybe yamato should tampoo print the valks more, and increase their Q.C in some way, but that's all they should do in my book. Yamato is not as big as takara or Bandai, also Macross is not as big as Gundam or other shows; in fact to produce a high quality line of toys for an 80 anime is already a big thing and I thank yamato for that. Productions runs are short, tooling and designing very expensive… big effort this guys are doing. These are collectables not massive toys, and personally I like it in this way. I am sorry to say but people here sounds like a bunch of bailarinas IMHO, if you don’t like don’t buy it, whining helps anyone, and definitely is not going to change Yamato policies. Well, Toynami is there... old 1/55 ABS bricks also... Gundam is also an option, or just find another hobby... get married, have babies...
  3. I voted NO... I rather do it myself, it is actually and easy process.
  4. YF 19, despite the Gunpod the Toy is so really nicelly done, the amount of work Yamato people put on this "puppy" really was outstanding. The VF 0A is also just beautifull, and the VF 1 line is a solid "chunky monkey" compared with the new releases, IMO they are all great (not considering the VF 0S) but the YF 19 was definetelly the BEST thing Yamato made on 2006, and I can say the best EVER in terms of design and quality.
  5. Well... I havent tried attaching the gunpod in fighter mode
  6. I finally came back from my short vacation and spent some time transforming the YF 19. In my opinion the transformation is pretty simple considering how complex this toy is. The only difficult part is part of the chest when transforming to Batroid mode, later will post a pic of this, but I guess G-Man already explained the issue quite clearly. All the rest is easy and fast. I have to say the engineering on this toy is WONDERFULL, Yamato made an incredible YF 19 rendition. The toy is tight, stable (at least in Bat and Fighter modes) and feels really strong despite all the moveable parts, hinges and thingies. Nice paint job and poseability. In my opinion it the best Yamato work ever. From what I can see there is absolutely no need to fix or change anything on this beauty. I found NO QC problems or design issues on my toy. We had a bit of a bad experience with the last VF 0S but there is nothing wrong with this new YF 19… except the UGLY and HUGE box. The 1/72 looks like a joke machine compared to the 1/60.
  7. That's rigth it is a cutom Detolf. I took my 6 Detolf's and ask our carpenter to make new bases and top covers, so i ended with 3 new shelfes, twice the with of a normal Detolf.... it makes the displaying sooooo much better. I will post some pics of the shelfes later glad you guys like it!
  8. I wish, but I got it an our before getting on a plane... it will have to wait till next Sunday. SAD I had no time to even transform the Valk!!! Good!! that was the whole idea! to make you all jelous and get the atention for a day! YAY! LOL! I guess a "back door lover" have the same meaning in english as in spanish and spanglish... soooo I need to clarify I DO NOT like to bite the pillow (and of corse I do NOT like guys). As G-Man said already the 1/72 looks pretty shitty besides the 1/60. The toy is really high quality and felt even better than the 1/48. I cant really say much as I only handled the toy for about 30 minutes, but it left a GREAT impresion on me, as fighter it trully ROCKS. The only thing I found was the back landing gears where too loose, but hey, it is not a toy car... It supports the wheigt fine so I guess it is a minor complain. And YES the gunpod looks even smaller in person... poor YF 19... it have a small gunpod.
  9. Yeah, sorry I was in a real hurry wen I posted the pictures... now I am in a nice tropical Island so I can get drunk while I tipe! YAY!! Yeah... they copied my pose. Yeah... youshould take me more serioulsly... but is same with my wife so I am used to it Yep, that's rite...
  10. Got mine and posted some pics, check it here. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=20977 SPL
  11. Guys, I got the YF 19 here in Shanghai today (Dec 6th) one day before the official release. I am in a hurry to catch a plane in 40 minutes so I will post fighter pictures only, I can say this toy so far looks plain amazing, I guess now I need to get at least nother two of this beauties Here some pictures, enjoy! Edit>> I was in a real hurry, so my original post was a mess.
  12. The logic would be Body "parts" Diecast, body Armor ABS plastic (and an extra PVC antennae). I trully hope so. About the plastic looking Eva... Mowe, I am sure you can use some of your moddeling skills and paint the armor anyway you want... at least I will do that.
  13. He is using Tamiya Acrilic to paint and Tamiya Enamel for the panel lines. You may change the brand. Great Video Riuyi, is really good to see how other modellers work. Anyways I guess we all do the same technics... when not lazy.
  14. My wife got me a Gunbuster for my B Day (nice girl) and the thing is trully awsome. minor complains only. Definetelly worth the price.
  15. This is an amazing work. I as everybody say, I cant whait to see this beauty finished. Really-really amazing.
  16. Those hip joints in the 1/60 are so totally ugly... the floppy legs, the thick cannopy, huge seam lines... among other things makes me prefer the old 1/72 HCM line by bandai over the newest 1/60 yammies. IMO 1/48s are a much superior product in quality, lineart and mostly everythiing. Just a bit more expensive.
  17. IMHO is better to mask the outher part and airbrush in the right angle, then you will have the sides yellow, and the black circle done in one step.
  18. Thanks for the pics G-Man!! The toy looks really nice I wonder if Yamato will release it on time... And dont complain about your crappily paying job! You are gettin 3 of them!! Can's THAT crappy.
  19. I trully think the design on the macross Zero Valks, in pretty much all aspects is better and more acurate/adecuate with modern days compared with the VF 1 line. As Scream Man said already it is because we have 20 years difference between the shows. I guess we should just change the mecha design between the TV series and the Zero and everything would be just perfect exept for the F.P. and the whole zero graviy concept we cannot see in M. Zero. This makes me think Mr Kawamori should seriously DROP the "save the Earth" thing he is into (nice, really nice, but I prefer Macross) and give us a new and revised TV series, and of course, with new mecha. Then everything will be fine in my book.
  20. Good idea, In fact I ahve sooooo many questions about HD stuff. I will go and find my plasma TV specs so maybe some of you can tell me If I screwed up or actually got myself a decent screen.
  21. Thanks for the comments guys. I said It ios more a low vis because there is a lot of parts I painted in different shades of grey intead of leaving them in white, now if the "phase shift armor" is ever activated on this model, then it will look like a real clown. Dont forget the base colors are Red, Blue and yellow (argh!). So I prefer to think it is NOT a Deactive mode : ) On the other hand the lighting was really bad wen I took the pictures and it totally killed the soft weathering I made, I wanted a clean model but still a real looking one, so pics dont make much jusice to the kit. Guppy. I got the decals in a local hobby shop, they have lots and lots of what I think are repros of the Wave Macross decals sets, lots of custom decal sets (mostly for Gundam models in 1/100 scales) and a few in 1/60. I remember they only have the strike for now. Next time I will check and let you know if they have some Zaku Decals. Godfather. Nope no built up article, I dont have the bulding process pics, but I remember Noel (Black Aces) ever made a very nice built up article on a PG Stike. and thanks for your comments Mr. March.
  22. Shoulders are still a bit loose on my 0A, but nowhere near as loose as the 0S. All in all the 0A is ok in my book.
  23. Couple more Bat mode pics with daylight.
  24. hi guys. I am almost done with this PG strike Guncrap. Too bad the pics are not very good, the light killed all the very light weathering I made so it looks pretty much plane, still you can see some of the grey shades... not all (specially on the chest). at the beggining I wanted to make a deactive Strike gundam, but I eneded doing a low vis scheme. I took a lot of time sanding all the pieces and I got some custom decals... they are SO much better than the supplied stickers!! so guys, is it nice, is it not? [attachmentid=37064]
