  1. Personally I'd just be happy if they didn't make this crap: ok... was that really necessary? vinnie
  2. My first thought. The point of transforming is the idea of a change in function. There is none here. vinnie
  3. Fish head soup is awesome. You Americans with your weak gastrointestinal fortitude... Fish cheeks anyone? vinnie
  4. Is it me or does it look like the arms have to detach and reattach to that big black piece in battroid mode? the legs I understand since that was what happened with he 1/60 VF-1's, but this is not acceptable. So basically you have to disassemble everything to transform it. Why the hell didn't they do with a slightly larger scale then? vinnie
  5. I don't know if that is accurate. They put the AFOS inside the carrier. We see work being done on the AFOS. In neither scene does it suggest that the AFOS is that large. Also if it is that huge, the Anti-UN must be really stupid if they think they can steal something that large with a few Sv-51's There's no way they'd be able to carry it off! vinnie
  6. The X-303 is called the Prometheus and is Earth's first homebuilt battlecrusier. Well apparently in the Stargate Atlantis finale, it will be revealed that Earth has a second battlecruiser and it's name is the.... Daedalus. You can't tell me that is a coincidence! vinnie
  7. It's funny you should mention that, because I think fire is really romantic.
  8. Not to sound queer or anything, but this looks to KICK AZZ!! Almost as good as the Orgazmo Ray. vinnie
  9. You had to bring those up, didn't you? Wow... that's some pretty crappy toy designs... It's none of the modes look good. What were they thinking??? vinnie
  10. well, if you don't mind a job change, most schools will offer you a substantial discount if you work for them at least half time. This is especially true in the public schools I have found. I work part time for my school (UT Austin) and earn more than enough to live off of as well as extra spending cash, and I don't even have to pay for tuition. I am also covered by their insurance benefit program. So I guess my advice is find out what the benefits are for the school you want to go to if you were an employee and if it's a sweet deal get a job there and then apply for admission. Being employed by the school will invariably guarantee admission and give you lots of benefits. vinnie
  11. The hips have to be that low if you want a fully functional front landing gear. vinnie
  12. What I would choose? Hehe... The VF-3000 Crusader and the VF-4 Lightning. vinnie
  13. Can you make the line super light grey and hairline thin? I would offer my help because I'd love to see all of the Valkyries more than just pictures. However, I have no idea how to do the stuff you are doing, but I'm willing to help wherever you need me to. We have Macross Design Works so we wouldn't have to worry about references. vinnie EDIT IN: How cool would it be to have all the Macross valkyries to scale on your shelf???!!!
  14. maybe I'm slow but wouldn't the dotted fold lines show up in the final product and make it look bad (and not in a good way either). You should see if you can make transformable versions of all the Macross Valkyries. There's so many of them and most of them have never been created as a 3D representation. I'd love to see a VF-3000 Crusader. That would kick so much ass. I know that someone has already made a battroid papercraft of this, but I wasn't impressed by it. vinnie

I don't like the way he made the outfit or the hair look, but as far as the sculpt of the figure, that's just pure awesome. If you check out his other stuff, I think the thing that impresses me the most is his ability to sculpt anime faces into 3D figures. They are all so spot on. vinnie EDIT IN: Wow, his Witchblad figure is phenomenal. The Super Girl is... interesting. Hell his entire collection is nifty. He does like adding a sexual element to his work though. Personally that does not bother me.
  16. I think Ali Sama is referring to the fact that the what you bought was a "veritech" not a valkyrie, which only applies to the VF-1 in RT and to all transformable fighters in Macross. vinnie
  17. I just don't get it. How can you make all the modes look good and Toynami can't? I do think your fighter mode puts all the transformable "representations" out there to shame. On another note, I was wondering if you could get the fins on the side of the nosecone to come together in soldier mode? I have to give credit to Toynami for pulling that off. vinnie
  18. Well, if you are going to lie at least make it reasonable. Anyone who has handled a MPC VF-1 and a 1/48 would know that was an incredibly stupid thing to say. Did anyone call BS on him? I guess it would disappoint Tommy to know that I play with my 1/48 more than the MPC? vinnie
  19. I think your next project should be a combining tread. I think everyone here will worship you as a god if you did. vinnie
  20. are people that ignorant or just that stupid? vinnie
  21. bleh, what was the plot twisted again? Without reading spoilers or anything I somehow knew what the plot twist was going into the movie. After a few minutes it was confirmed. Whoever said Shyamalan needs a new gimmick is right. When the audience can guess the gimmick from a fake docu-propaganda piece, the director is losing it. I loved Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense. Signs and The Village are too predictable because we come to expect it. I am also annoyed by his cameos. It seems so unnecessary and everytime I see him in the movie, it seems so out of place. vinnie
  22. is the reason the feet are so large a balance issue? They got it right on the SP's but not on the MPC line... I figure that either diver or soldier mode needed extra base to stand properly... The large feet however make all the modes look bad... Fighter mode would benefit from a smaller foot print aesthetically imo... vinnie
