Released one by one, each with its own Issue Number, individually packaged in an 1 foot cube deluxe art-box, though little chances of loose joints or crooked missile, to be safe, people should wait for the realese of the first missile to make sure there are no QC issues...

I thought the industry always turns a blind eyes on garage kit (especially in Japan). Logic tells me that as long as the garage kit does not make exact copy of a kit in production, the big company could care less. Legally, I am sure if companies want to pursuit a small fry, their team of lawyers can come up with 10 million excuses to cease your producton (we've seen HG in action a while back on a MW member, didn't we?)

Somebody please make the VF2SS

We entrust that job on your expertise on the SV!!!!

Hume....interesting...does this mean Yamato planned to have FB prior the 1st release...but hold back...$$$
-
Yeah, that would be nice, but we all know the chances of that happen are slim. Everytime I see this topic, I always hope the first post reads: "Yamato confirms a new line of VF-2ss"
-
I think the majority of the complaints were not to the extreme of labeling the toy itself as a POS. Most complaints were directed to Yamato’s incompetent in putting out the most anticipated toy of the year with bundles of annoying minor flaws. There was no doubt that the sculpting and transformation design of the toy itself is one of best out there. More complaints were followed when people realized Yamato had plans to release the stand alone Booster Pack and Combo pack - shortly after the first YF-19 release - with a ridiculous price tag. When the Yamato Police started telling people to stop b itching about Yamato, the posts became nasty and the debate was no longer just about YF-19. The nasty talks are about Yamato’s practice, not so much the toy itself.

That is freakin' awsome. The SOC looks midget next to the box. If only SDF-1 comes in that size...

When Yamato put out a nice product, positive comments are posted; When Yamato makes mistakes, negative comments are posted. It is as simple as that. No hate fest, no sniveling. When people first reported the loose joint problems with VF-0S, there were people kept telling us: "what problem, mine is perfect, it is a minor problem, don't like the toy, don't buy it, stop b itching". Well, it turned out that there were problems. Had Yamato received no complaints, do you think they would fix the problems in the following issue? God help us if everyone is carrying the same attitude of "put up or shut up"... sigh ....
-
But the sculpting looks really nice, hard decision....
-
I think it is still a great toy but Yamato can easily improve and fix the less than perfect problems. Though, definitely not Toy of the Year anymore.
-
With Monkey's offer, I am in for a full set. Yamato wouldn't mind my b itching if I pay them money... I hope Yamato put a bit more effort into the packaging with the full pack – not just a blank white box of the FB inserted into the normal YF-19.

Oh, poor Yamato, had we mistaken you for highway robbery when all along, you were just trying to make us happy. I am really sorry that I am giving you my hard earned money for 100 grams of plastic.
-
Dido all. My simple answer would be greed but some people justify it by calling it business profiting. Unfortunately, there is a market out there willing to pay for these expensive toys (suckers like you and me...) Right now, the"Then 80s" grown up professionals have an incredible buying power and toy makers are simply doing what ever they can to suck us dry. We know everything is made in China by dirt-cheap labour. I can understand if diecast toys prices go up due to sky rocketing metal prices, but Yamato’s stuff are 90% plastic. It could not be the raw materials. I hear excuses like expensive tooling, mould, and "many little parts", but I really like to hear somebody from the industry to give us an insight to what $ figures we are talking about or what their percentage to the final production cost. Convince me with hard figures and I'll believe these excuses. I think in the end, it is down to what profit margin Yamato want to set, and I think they are making a killing.

I'll pay the $50 if the FP comes with lubricant...
-
I prefer a $20 FP than a $50 glow in the dark dildo...

I quite like the size and weight of the Gunbuster. Of course, the bigger would be better, but the smaller size keeps it more affordable, less problem with weight on joints and cheapper shipping.

The 188,00 yen YF-21+FP pre-order price seems like a better deal than just getting the stand alone Fastpark for 60,00yen. Might have to consider it...

May be the Eva should keeps his armour on....

You are not late at all. I reckon these latest SOCs are just the begining of the better things to come. Most of the old SOC are on the smaller size anyway. This new line of SOC are clearly aimed toward the collector's market. The amazing thing about them is that they are not only beautifully crafted, they are also toys that you can play with. Transforming is easy and robust. They are really how a toy should be. Unlike "playing' with my Yammies, my blood pressure and stress level arise whenever I transform the 1/48 & 1/60. I have lately reduced my Yammy intake to pick up more SOC.

I like the sound of that, skimpy outfit is always sexier than full-butt naked. Can't wait to see who's head and bodies you'll be bashing this time...
-
Despite its size and price, it does look beautiful, need to think about this - many Yammies on the way....
-
Nice box arts. The proportion of the Eva is pretty good too (I didn't like the Revoltech sculpt, they were too chuppy to be a beast). As an Eva fan, I 'll get one. I hope they produce more weapons variation if they make more Evas, and please Unit 005...

I really need to see comparison pics to help me make an decision, to see if I can bear with the "Macro-ness" of this fellow. On the one hand, I love the sculpting and diecast, but like all men, I just want it to be BIG... Had Wave made it even close to the 1/48-VF-1 size, I'll folk out the $150 for sure...
