  1. The funny thing is that I just viewed him as the nerdy, bookish character that’s more into magic and old stories. Not the standard charming or high-strung royal person. Just a guy forced by his family into roles he’s not suited for. <shrugs>
  2. Just trippy to say “ natural causes” for someone who’s “only” 60 years old.
  3. Graydon too actually went from being like a useless spoony bard to actually being an interesting and useful character. Boorman had a fun charm to him and worked as the fun side character.
  4. Just realized he also played the Captain in Netflix’s Castlevania. One of the coolest, practical, and most level-headed foils to Isaac. It was a minor role, but it oozed so much charm and style. RIP.
  5. United Mando’s posing a threat? Wanting to keep folks off of Mandalore? Holds a grudge against them? Gideon’s with him and wants to pay a receipt back to Bo (wreck his home, now he wrecks hers)? 🤷🏽‍♂️
  6. I wonder if the week by week release schedule screws the pooch with some of these versus just releasing a whole season all at once. Lot easier to keep watching a show, if you can jump right into the next episode. As opposed to stewing over a bleh episode for a week and then losing motivation to keep watching.
  7. Finally took the plunge and bought this 3D printed Star Wars droid: Wound up breaking a few parts pulling the pieces off the lattice work(?). But nothing catastrophic. Oh! And I hate working with white paint.
  8. I thought that’s why they went with so many young and/or unknown actors. But yeah, the special effects and location filming were probably pricy.
  9. Someone on another board suggested that the TIE Interceptors and TIE Bombers were probably from the Chimaera (Thrawn’s ship).
  10. Guess the Wyrm wins. 😉
  11. Well, she has seen Ahsoka kicking all sorts of butt back in the day. . . . And she got a front row seat to another Force-wielding maniac playing Highlander with a person’s head. So, she’s got visual examples to refer back to, that ol’ Din never got to see.
  12. It's far worse if you're not into VF-1's. Your options are pretty limited when it comes to Plus, Zero, Seven, or Frontier valks. Hell, the original mothership (TV SDF-1) doesn't have many large scale options available, even after all these years. Add in the issues you may come across with these older releases, and it can get pretty dicey. Even something as reliable as the Yamato 1/48's had issues where some releases had crooked skull-and-crossbones on the tailfins.
  13. The homages to Alien and other sci-if horror films was strong. Was actually a nicely done ep. Though a part of me was surprised they rounded up the villagers, rather than do the usual “leave no witnesses” methods the Empire is famous for.
  14. Hou-Rey! 😉
  15. Decided to try out the non-helmeted heads. Yeah, she’s got the grumpy scowl going when you look at her from below:
  16. We should start a drinking game: every time we see a new Mando armor onscreen, take a shot. . . . We would’ve all been dead of alcohol poisoning within the first 5 minutes.
  17. Well, the protagonists have been pretty one-dimensional too, except for Crosshair.
  18. Even though I never got it, the original 1/48 Low-Visibility version. Looks like a color scheme that could actually exist in the “real world.” And no bright colored trim to make it stick out and defeat the whole purpose of being low-viz.
  19. That why I feel COCAINE BEAR’s underlying theme (that our wanton, unchecked consumerism, our insatiable desire for more (symbolized by CB’s desire for moar coke!!!11!!) will undoubtedly lead to our own destruction and of everything around us) pierces to the very core of my being. 🤓 😶. . . 🤪
  20. I can kick my young kids out of their rooms (and use their rooms for more display spaces), right? I mean they’re eventually gonna leave the house, right?! I’d just be accelerating the process! 🤪
