    Hikaru's Bad Day

Classic dude! That must be one big-ass Jabba, and where did you get that mini valk for the lil' guy?
  2. I definitely wouldn't be surprised at your theory at this point. I actually didn't suspect any of the 4 mentioned except one (I don't want to ruin it for anyone so I'll just say the dark haired female with a name that starts with the letter "T"). The others I thought would be some of the last to ever suspect. I truly hope they do use Hendrix's version of the song. Damn, reading that spoiler really has me on edge to see these last few episodes of the season.
  3. I'm wondering where this is going as far as the finale.
  4. Another update for tonite: What we think we know: * This would be the last episode before “Crossroads,†the two-part season-three finale that begins next week. (Though producer David Eick has said tonight’s “The Son Also Rises†is actually the first part of a three-part season finale.) * Lee makes a return visit to Memorial Corridor, likely to see what Starbuck’s photo looks like next to Kat’s. * We’ll see that both Apollo and Anders are drinking in the wake of Kara’s demise. * It looks like we finally get to deal with how Apollo felt when he was demoted from Pegasus commander all the way back down to Galactica CAG. * Lee is ordered to protect Baltar’s new lawyer after the old one gets killed. * Lee wants to help with Baltar’s defense. * Cally has a dustup with Sharon. 10 p.m. Sunday. SciFi.
  5. Just got in from seeing this... I'm glad to say it exceeded my expectations. NICE!!! The trailer and and advertising are a bit misleading. It seemed like the trailer had Leonidas screaming all the time. Happy to say the movie really had a great story and I thought it actually went into more detail than the graphic novel. I loved the stylistic blood/battle scenes. The instrumental hard/rock metal music fit in nice well too. I'm thrilled that didn't bother me at all. Most importantly, I thought the CG backgrounds would really limit the scale of the film and it did not in any way. The end credits were awesome too!!! They say they may give the Watchmen film to this director, if so, I definitely give it my blessing.
  6. Ya know... that's very cool to read. I hope you told your students to go see this film. I remember back in the day, my Senior year in high school to be exact, we read Le Morte D'Arthur and I absolutely loved it because I had seen Excalibur as a kid. It's always cool to visualize what your reading and it helps so much when that material already exists in some form. Now, I'm not a teacher... just a guy that digs sci-fi and fantasy. So, I commend you on your comments because it was teachers like you that opened up my mind to other forms of entertainment and learning.
  7. My feelings exactly!!! I admit at first I really wasn't excited about it. I hated Sin City and I'm very weary of all Comic Book Films with the exception of the Spiderman films and Superman Returns. I've been that way since I endured those sorry ass Batman films of the late 80's and early 90's. As far as 300, I kinda felt (and still do a little) that the CG backgrounds are limiting the scale to the point of making me feel while watching that everything is obviously on a soundstage. The more I saw of this film, the more I was intrigued. I even went out a month ago and bought the graphic novel to compare how close the film and book are. I will admit I'm looking forward to it now and hoping it exceeds my expectations.
  8. ‘As Far As I Know!!’ GALACTICA’s Sackoff Gives Her First Post-Maelstrom Interview!! ‘I am dead as far as I know,†Katee Sackoff claims in her first interview following Kara “Starbuck†Thrace’s apparent demise on Sunday's “Battlestar Galactica.†She also tells KUFO-FM’s Cort and Fatboy that she’s shooting a pilot for NBC, so she might not even be all that available even for “Galactica†flashbacks if that pilot goes to series. “I did sign a six-year contract,†she mentions at one point. “Galactica†is an NBC/Universal show just completing its third season. She also says she plays Starbuck at least one more time – on Seth Green’s “Robot Chicken.†We also learn she knows other curses besides “frak.†She flat out answers whether dead is dead--but drops JUST enough hints that if you listen to Ron Moore's commentary for Maelstrom, you might maybe get an idea of what could be comin around the corner. Did Starbuck eject? What major NBC Pilot is she trying out for? What does Katee sound like when some dumb batty cuts her off while she's conducting a phoner with radio hacks from Portland? Listen and find out.
  9. I totally agree. I also wanna re-watch the episode again. Thank Gods for TiVo.
  10. One expensive ass frakin' camera from NASA.
  11. Holy Frak! Bye-bye Kara... Now that's a show with balls!!! Killer flight footage too. In homage, I leave a desktop. Looks like next week is back to Baltar.
  12. ‘I Have These Nightmares!!’ ‘Maelstrom’ Sweeps Into SciFi!! BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 3.17!! “I can’t sleep. I have these nightmares.†“About the Cylon. The one who held you captive. He sees the truth about your destiny. He’s coming for you. Soon.†On the heels of “Dirty Hands,†last week’s moving and engrossing post-apocalypse class-warfare episode of “Battlestar Galactica,†we get “Maelstrom,†the big, top-secret, Starbuck-centric, franchise-rocking installment to which everybody’s been alluding for months. Here’s what the Chicago Tribune said about “Maelstromâ€: “[series mastermind Ronald D.] Moore adds that after the March 4 episode airs, the name of a major cast member will disappear from the show’s opening credits. They won’t say whether Sackhoff’s name is the one that goes missing. But they do make clear that what happens to Starbuck points the way to a major shift in the show’s direction. ‘It’s a fundamental and permanent change in the makeup of the show’s cast and of the show itself and how the show operates and what the show is about. It’s a very dramatic change of direction,’ Moore says.†10 p.m. Sunday. SciFi.
  13. I'm a visual guy... I'll always favor DYRL!
  14. mael·strom –noun 1. a large, powerful, or violent whirlpool. 2. a restless, disordered, or tumultuous state of affairs: the maelstrom of early morning traffic. Something big is upon us...
  15. Definitely looking forward to seeing those.
  16. I thought it was Millia?
  17. A lil' OT here... Thanks, I had such high hopes but I guess we can forget that now.
  18. Uhh... yes I did get the clues... and I was only stating the obvious.
