  1. Well, i have two, the regular release and the weathering one and i would buy another one. Also it would be great if Arcadia would re-release it in that white bright shade rather than the off white of the first releases, which, from i what i understood, should prevent even more the yellowing of the plastic(but not completely sure about that yet). In addition i wouldn't mind other reissues like a VF-X1 or maybe a slight different paint scheme like the Alaska base(which it's not a real reissue but really not that different). In any case Arcadia definitely knows better than i do. At least i hope so. I mean, i love their toys very much (since they were Yamato) and it kinda breaks my heart to see so few new releases.
  2. I don't mind reissues but i think they should try to change some of the releases...like for example, what about a Max VF-1S? I mean, it's already pretty difficult to find as a used item. It would be like printing money.
  3. What's next for arcadia, i guess reissues, reissues, reissues...damn, at least give me the weathering version of the destroid and a PF of Nora
  4. I agree. The quality of DYRL is astonishing, even now after 35 years from its release i think it's better than most of the productions that come out these days. Not to mention Mikimoto's character design. I think we have been graced to have the same, fantastic story told twice in different formats. I personally love both of them.

    Macross figures

Thank you for all your suggestions. I sent an email to Hobby Genki but they never got back to me. Not a good sign in my experience so i will definitely go with Hobby search. Also, how do i pay directly in yen letting the CC do the exchange rate(i usually pay with paypal)? Thank you for your help.

    Macross figures

Thank you for your reply, but i have to say i am seeing different prices compared to the ones you listed...it's weird, for example, HLJ price for me shows up at € 263 which should be around 280 USD. Slight differences in the other stores too. Anyway, i think i will probably go with Hobby search since i think i already bought from them several years ago and they seem a very reliable website. I am still open to suggestions though.

Thanks, except Big bad toy store i never bought anything from any of these stores. Hobby Genki seems the cheapest one. Would you suggest it?

"Macross Frontier " Sheryl Nome -Tsukuyomi Ver.- 1/7 Complete Figure What do you think would be the best site to buy this beautiful statue? it seems to be a limited release so i don't see it available for pre-order on the usual websites i buy from.
  9. Today's arrival...after a long wait finally these two bad girls came knocking at my door and it's all thanks to...this forum. Seriously, i was suggested by one of the users of this forum to look for this very limited release on the Bigbadtoy store(which i had only heard of) and it was basically the only store that carried them(they were on pre-order also on nin-nin but although now they are in stock it was almost impossible to secure a preorder, like macross level impossible). So this proves that forums and this one in particular can still be extremely useful! Thank you Macross world!
  10. Quick question, does anybody know which aircraft number Isamu is piloting in the beginning sequence of Macross Plus? I am refering to the VF-11 he is using in the dogfight against the rogue zentran squad, right before he arrives on the New Edward training base.
  11. Also, their silhouette in fighter mode is still great!
  12. Anyway, still no news or pictures about super/fast parts...i have a feelling they will be sold separetely a while after the release of the toy. Hopefully.
  13. Only by watching these pictures i realized that Bandai added the NO STEP tampos on the wings of the new VF-25 releases. And i do own the Alto renewal released few months ago. Bandai, you are evil. Anyway any other extra tampos added to these new versions?
  14. I am a huge brownie lover. Few weeks ago i decided to take on a project that i have been planning out for a while. Since that nobody knows when or whether Bandai will ever release a VF-1A cannon fodder in the DX line i tried to get the best out of what i already have in my collection, starting of course from a Yamato 1/48 VF-1A Cannon fodder. The changes i made: 1. Bath in hydrogen peroxide in order to take out that awful yellowish patina 2. Used waterslide decals instead of stickers 3. Switch the pilot from a DYRL to a SDFM one(it’s a spare Roy Focker I had from an old Yamato 1/48). 4. Used the reactive missiles set from Bandai. 5. Still on the fence whether to panel line it or not…I feel the lines are too deep and in the end it would not look so good…(your experience on the matter would be greatly appreciated). From this project I learnt that if you tweak few details you can almost get a brand new valk…especially putting up waterslide decals instead of stickers made a huge difference in my opinion(although I realized it’s not that easy to find good quality third party decals). In any case, I hope you enjoy it!
  15. You are not wrong, that's another really great scene from a beautiful Gundam series. Probably my second favorite. But...how can you forget the poor Scarlet team?😔
  16. Well, it does star in one of the best OAV series from the Gundam saga. It takes down an entire GM platoon by itself. Its pilot has more charisma than most of the pilots from the non UC universe. Despite the fact that it has to fight with a far superior MS it is almost able to beat him. So, definitely does not get much screen time but what it does with the time that is given to it well, it's really legendary.

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

I agree. What about the super deformed version(egg plane i think it's called)? I was under the impression that there was a sheet of waterslide decals inside that kit too....

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

Quick question for all the YF-19 lovers...is there a decal sheet where i can find a waterslide decal with the Isamu Dyson name? I mean, i am looking for the decal with the name of the pilot that you usually put on the canopy or right below it. Thank you!
  19. Thank you for all your inputs. So basically if one of the items has been released in late august in Japan it is safe to bet that they won't get it before the end of october right? i will try to contact them anyway...buying with this kind of delays always makes me...uneasy.
  20. I apologize in advance if this the wrong thread but i need a suggestion. Few months ago i placed a pre-order on bigbadtoystore for a non-macross but always anime related product. The release date for these items was july/august in Japan and the store list them as a september release.I know that the store(which seems very professional and reliable) imports via ship most of the goods so i was wondering if i should expect any delays on the arrival of the items...Do you guys have any experience on the matter? it's really not an issue for me, i just need to understand when those $ 200 will have to come out of my wallet and therefore plan my life accordingly(i usuallly buy on japanese stores and they always have been very accurate on the release dates). Thank you in advance for your help.
  21. Yes, i think that if you don't topcoat your models it's the only way to have your decals adhere to the plastic.
  22. Thank you for your advice. Yes, i finally found the courage to go along with the operation. I just used a cotton swab dipped in some water and a lot of patience. I was able indeed to peel it off without causing any damage to the VF. Luckily i did not seal it with top coat but just used some drops of mark softer/setter. I have to say some third party decals stick better than the official ones. Thank you again!
  23. I need some assistance. I am trying to take off a small waterslide decal that i put on my Arcadia VF-0D(regular version). The decal has sticked very well to the plastic and i am not able to rub it off with my fingernails, as i usually do. I was thinking about using a cotton swag with a couple of drops of alcohol on it but i am afraid i might ruin the plastic. What do you guys think? What do you usually do in cases like this? I really want to avoid the risk of scratching the surface of the VF since that it's a pretty expensive one and am very picky about this kind of things. Thank you in advance!
