None of my VF-25 renewals have shown any sign of yellowing, but my 2012 reissue of the YF-29 has even though it's slightly newer than my first run 25F renewal (from 2011).

Which YF-29 model was that?  Did you buy it new or used?  I'm just trying to narrow down if it's just sunlight that makes this happen.  I'll probably still get the VF-25F renewal because I feel it's a pretty sharp looking Valk.  Especially in fast packs.

I think you should be okay with the renewal toy if it's sealed. The v1 toys were made of interior plastic and yellow when sealed but the renewal toys seem to be made of better stuff. My renewal is original release and usually sits in the box and is still white.

    Awesome thanks!

  3. Have a question that I'm not sure anyone can answer but I figured I'd give it a shot.  I want to get a VF-25F renewal version still sealed if I can.  I know that the white parts can become yellowed when exposed to sunlight, but have any ever yellowed even when NOT exposed to sunlight?  I'm just worried if I get one still sealed that it'll be yellowed anyway from sitting in the box so long sealed up (something about the styrofoam emitting gases causing a chemical reaction) .  I know the toy came out a long time ago and I've seen some people claim that it can happen.  I just don't want to pay a premium price for an already yellowed toy.  So I guess I'm asking what are the chances that would happen or has it to happened to any of you?

Just use something like Flory's model wash. You can wipe away any mistakes with a damp cloth.

That's a good idea.  I might try that out.  I can always test it on something else to get the hang of it

He temporarily closed shop due to a new job and the supply issue with the pandemic.

Hopefully they can get things up and running again.

The painted panel lines look is amazing on that VF-0S.  I'm tempted to do my PF one.  I just don't want to screw it up LOL.  I paid so much for that one and I'd hate to ruin it.

Yeah but the arm is still grey. It just doesn't look good to me when you are trying to display something in action with a black/grey/any solid color arm. Bottom line is yetistand > * and we need him back to help us!:D

Those Yeti stands look pretty nice.  Did they stop making them?

Be patient and come here every day. If they show up somewhere, like in hobby -link a month ago, fellas will post a link almost instantly. That is how I got mine. I really lost all hopes to get one when I watched the pre-orders for the VF-1J sold like hotcakes.

    Will do :good:

Yeah, while the prices haven’t skyrocketed, you probably shouldn’t wait too long. Once the current stock runs out even if it is already secondary market, prices will likely climb. I agree that it’s probably the case that most the supply was purchased by resellers and they are now competing with each other for sales.

That makes sense.  I'll probably just get one soon then.

  9. I want to get a Roy but I'm wondering if I should just wait a little longer to see if the prices drop a bit.  Cheapest I've seen so far for a sealed one has been about $300 shipped which isn't too much more than retail shipped I suppose.

  10. Finally opened my VF-0S PF and it's really amazing.  It's definitely better than the Yamato version.  The Valkyrie designs in general these days have come a long way.  I do have a question that may or may not have been discussed here already.  Do most of Arcadia's Valk's not come with stands?  Just adaptors for the stands?

Surprised that Bandai didn't just recycle the Frontier mold with a few tweaks for Delta, like they did with the YF-29.

Then again they still haven't even giving us all the super parts, so maybe it's not so surprising.

    Delta suuuuucks! :diablo:

The show or the Valk designs?  I actually like the designs myself.  But I can see why other people might not like them.  My heart will always belong to the original VF-1's though.

I have three VF-171s (Alto's EX, Luca's RVF, and a cannon fodder). No Maruyama, but I can give you my experience with the others. Alto I've transformed a few times, it's actually been very reliable - no broken parts, no yellowing, etc. The transformation's a pain in the butt, however, so after the last transformation I decided to just leave it in battroid. I never transformed Luca's, because the battroid looks super wonky on that one, but it's been very solid in fighter. I got the cannon fodder this last year to leave in fighter mode, and it had broken triangles out of the box (I paid extra for an unopened box) and was literally disintegrating in my hands as I tried to transform it just enough to put on the super parts and transform it back. So my take is that the white 171s are generally fine (I actually like my Alto 171EX quite a bit, despite the frustrating transformation), and the Maruyama one should be the same if that's the one you want to grab. I'd avoid the cannon fodder unless you really like the design and are okay with it being damaged - I don't think there are any CF's without broken triangles at this point.

Thanks for the info. @Rhubarbarian while I do like the cannon fodder color scheme I'll probably avoid it since it sounds like it has the most problems.

  13. Was thinking of trying to get the VF-171EX (Maruyama Version) of this Valk but reading the reviews gives me a little pause.  I like that version because of the Itasha graphic on it's back.  What's your guys overall opinion of the Maruyama version?  Does it suffer from the same issues as the other VF171's or is the juice worth the squeeze?
