  1. Oh, and while the 1/48 is pricy you should at least have one of them.
  2. Because that means fans who break the toy on the 1st try, will have to go buy another one, for a second try.
  3. Aside from the fact that George doesn't want to? Probably some score issues and such (for branching anyways) but I think that's pretty minor if the previous issue didn't apply. Doesn't bother me, either way. I know... I know. PPl will buy this version regardless.... and they will release the unaltered version eventually. Of course they will, becuase George knows he can make more money this way. If he released the Classic Trilogy before the Special Editions, everyone would buy the Classics, and sales for the Special Editions would be poor. This way, he knows sales of both will be strong. Right on. When is the 30th anniversary for SW? 2007 right? I'm willing to bet around then is when we will get a boxed set with the prequels, SE, and original cut of the original trilogy. BTW with this new DVD release wasn't there a rumor Lucas was going to tinker even more with the OT? *shudders*
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1&category=4696 That color scheme has to be one of the worst I have ever seen.
  5. The most commonly broken part I see on 1/55ths are the shoulder joints. The myth behind Jetfires fraility mostly comes from the fact that he was one of the most complex transforming toy placed in the TFer line, and little kids (and really stupid adults) forced joints in ways they were not meant to be forced.
  6. Lets get a MP Shockwave! He could easily stand toe to toe with prime in bot mode, and still maintain a managably sized gun mode. Plus he is cooler than megs anyway Hey how possible do you think it is for them to make a MP Galvatron? Engineering wise that is. BTW I would buy a decently articulated non transforming megs in scale with MP prime if, it had tons of detail, a kickass sculpt and was made out of diecast and high quality plastic
  7. Thanks for the review Drifand. It looks good, to bad its so rare these days. I think I'll just settle for the Dragon Kerberos for now.
  8. toysrus.com Toyrus.com doesn't have it yet. Wonder why, they do have the smokescreen though.
  9. The title says it all. I have seen varying pictures, in some the figure looks great, in others horrid, for those who actually own one, your impressions? Does anyone here own one? Or at least has anyone here seen one IRL? I don't mean the Panzer Cop from Yamato/Dragon figures, I have seen those and they are amazing looking IMHO.
  10. BBTS sells the alternators version as well, also as of this moment the alternator Smokescreen is available off of amazon.
  11. No, dude. He should be a Pontiac Aztek. Give THAT honor to the usurper Rodimus Prime... Feh, Hot Rod killed Optimus... stupid meddler.. Rodimus has to be a winnabago.
  12. Question, what kinda vehicles do people usually use for police cars and ambulences today? Just curious what prowl and ratchet might turn out as.
  13. The SRT-4 is a fairly "meh" addition, but the truck should add some nice variety. The truck would make a nice Trailbreaker. Agreed! TrailBreaker or a Kup. Though with the BT/Alternator line I get the impression they will be sticking to 1st and 2nd series charactors only.
  14. The engine is molded into hounds arms. Personally I love hounds bot mode. From the knees up it looks almost exactly like his toon incarnation, cept for the door wings. one thing to not though is it looks like hound does not have a steering mechanism. But they made up for that by giving him independent suspension on his wheels.
  15. Neither can I... But the day I saw one of those real life mock-ups of Kaneda's bike in person and got to sit on it with the ferring down I have an all new respect for that design. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who makes those 1/1 bike mockups because they are one of the neatest things I've seen a geek do in a long time. I might have to get that bike toy just to have some fun with it... and it seems it is in 1/12 scale to boot which will match most of the other real world bike models there are on the market. While I like Akira alot, I agree it is one of the most overated animes out there. 1/12 scale, is that larger or smaller, or the same size as the McFarlene version?
  16. I think the price that these proto's are going for are just absurd. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEBWA%3AIT&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEBWA%3AIT&rd=1 And here is something really silly Shockwave and beer, two of peoples favorite things http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEBWA%3AIT&rd=1
  17. Well that hold was broken by the dancougar
  18. http://groups.msn.com/rlhmnqs8dd8puj7pei4u...458570088906858 Zambot doesn't really tickly my fancy but I love that bike! Here is hoping they will be able to get the licenses for all of the labels he had on his bike.
  19. I like Tenchi alot, but I'm not even willing to pay the 112 for the normal OVA set, so no way on this set. And to be honest I really don't like the TV series all that much, for me it's all about the OVA.
  20. A Max for sure. When I started collecting the 1/48th line I promised myself 1 of each head varient would be represented in my collection. I already have the Hikaru 1A, and the Focker 1S. (I did break my promise of not collecting mere color scheme varients when getting my low-viz, but the low viz just rocks.) I may try and nab a Milla later on but I am not sure.
  21. This was a great series. I didn't think I would like because at 1st I thought it was going to be just another clone of all the other fantasy stories out there. Boy was I wrong. This is a must watch IMHO. I would love to ramble on about aspects of the story and charactors but I feel I would ruin it for all. Just watch it!
  22. Yes the 1/48 is worth it. Don't feel bad about getting baned from RT.com, everyone here loves Macross, and many enjoy Southern Cross and Mospeada, so come in and join the fun. Welcome to MW. Oh about being banned, did you make a post asking about macross products that are not being produced by Toynami? That can do it over there, from what I understand.
  23. Wear it as a motorcycle helmet....or if you're with the airforce....give your fellow wingmen a good laugh...and probably a court marshall. It's been stated that it has no safety value whatsoever, it is simply a costume piece.
  24. The Kenshin TV series is probably one of the few light anime's that I like, still that said the OVA is about 100x's better.
  25. Well I have heard no news, no pictures have been shown for ages on progress, I am wondering if they have been abandoned? The fan base for votoms I understand is practically non-existent last I heard.
