  1. Nice work man! You gonna do recasts when your done?
  2. to be honest, with the exception of the goofy crotch I prefer yamatos rendition. The yamato GBP looks so agressive and mean. While the slightly slimmer look of the model kit is probably more accurate I prefer yamatos interpretation because I think it holds closer to the spirit of what the GBP armor is all about, making the valk look even bigger and meaner.
  3. to bad this is limited to trek, cause if it wasn't I'd vote Marco Ramious :-p or maybe the american captain of the Dallas :-p way cooler captains than anything trek could come up with
  4. Picard, while more diplomat than soldier, when the situation called for it he could be just as bold as Kirk. Edit: So who voted archer?
  5. I can proudly say I am one of the biggest Red Dwarf geeks here.
  6. Smokescreen, Meister and over drive are the best at avoiding the shell method of transformation. Hound, grimlock and sideswipe have a lil to much hanging of but still are not to bad. Tracks is pretty horrid when it comes to kibble issues though... I've always had to wonder about the standards by how some people decide ifa Transformer is a "shellformer". I look at some of the Alternators people say are "shellformers" then look back and can only come to the conclusion that there have been "shellformers" since the Diaclones. I've been considering this trailer, it looks better than anything I could make myself. The question remains, though, how much am I willing to spend on one? I mean, there's seriously no reason why a mass produced, non-transforming plastic trailer needs to cost as much as MPC Prime. Well, lets take tracks. There really isn't much effort to intergrate the car parts into the robot mode. He is pretty much a folded up robot inside the shell of a car with his car bits hanging off in bot mode. Smokescreen and Meister really do a good job of using the car parts as intergrated elements of the robot. The hood as a chest, the rear windows as feet, and the roof as the back. The only parts of the car that really seem to hang off to me are the doors.
  7. I have to nominate Kaiser Soze.
  8. buh? That's a joke right? Kinda reminds me of the security bot from Runaway.
  9. I'm suprised no one has mentioned the following yet T-800 from 1st terminator T-1000 Agent Smith The machines get not love :-p Anyway, greatest movie villin. I vote Jar Jar Binks. The guy hands the repubilc over to the emperor in a handbasket and is proud if it. Best villins are the one who don't even know they are evil! (Yes this is a joke)

  11. But we already have Prime that looks good in both modes... and thats the 20th Anniversary Masterpiece Prime, or the Takara MP-1. Except for the fact that the truck mode is a mess that looks like it's been driven off a cliff. Repeatedly.... Yeah it does! It's all crumpled up and disjointed and it doesn't have windows or wheels or doors or... Waitaminute, yeah it does. Y'know, it's one thing to quibble about not liking a particular part of a design... but c'mon, the truck mode on MP Prime is fine to about 99.9% of the people on Earth. What kills me is how nobody seems to rag on how bad the old robot modes in G1 toys were. Now those were crap. I'm with you blaine, save for some odd seemlines and slightly off proportions here and there, the truck mode is fine. The only thing that bothers me about the truck mode is the crappy cardboard trailer.
  12. Whatcha guys think? Me? As long as I get some cool toys out of this movie thats all I care about. Transformers has always been about cool toys for me. I really don't care that much about the story :-p
  13. If it actually walked I'd be impressed, but this thing just scoots at barely a crawl. It's nothing more than a glorified mecha toy.
  14. the 1/24th looks awesome. Man If only I had modeling skills I'd so nab one.
  15. does anyone here think the raider looks like the batwing?
  16. best mecha model ever!
  17. actually it kinda reminds me of the galvion.
  18. we warned you :-p
  19. I think i know what your talking about, I think it is made by toyota.
  20. dangit, those chest fillers look great, I really wish yamato would sell upgrade sets with just the chest fillers, the back filler that came with the FPs, and spare hands.
  21. The 1st thing that came into my head when reading this article was that these were cartoon fantasy pictures this man is getting arrested over. No child was molested or harmed in making these. (unless the artist used live models) If one can become convicted based on what type of fantasy entertainment one watches (no matter how sick) then we are in alot of trouble. The problem with say "real" child pornography is that a real live individual below the legal age of consent has been exploited. Many other fantasy films use consenting adults, where the acts depicted might be illigal, such as murder, rape, ect, however the participants are legal adult, who without any other form of coercian outside of the money they are being paid, are consenting to performing before the camera and what is being portrayed is nothing more than a performance. I am not talking just pornography here. I am refering to mainstream Hollywood movies where actors portray murder, rape, and other forms of illegal activity. As distastful as even cartoon portrayals of child porn might be, they are in the end pictures where no real child was exploited. The day we can become convicted based on just our fantasies (no matter how twisted they are) will be a troubling day.
  22. wow, that is nice, with a some slightly more professional tooling that would make a great MP addition.
  23. there was a max reissue? also on the 2nd and third reissues, they have all the improvments. Unless you are a hardcore collector avoid the 1st issues of the 1A hikaru, and 1S roy.
  24. ummmm a 1/48 jet would be larger than a 1/48 shin. There is no way they will be making them in 1/48 scale. a I'd bet the scale will be some where between 1/72 and 1/60th. Around the same size as the 1/60th scale valks.
  25. you mean stupid critics yes, but I expect that from most transfans
