1. Actual photos of a painted MP-03 Strangly, this new StarScream has actually grown on me. Sure I'd rather have a more toon accurate sculpt and color scheme, but just as a toy I think it looks pretty good.
2. Awr man, why can't transformers get this treatment...
3. It's weird, I look at that face, and I do see a little potential. Though I've always felt Jim Carrey would make a cool joker and was horrifically miscast as the riddler.
4. It's less a problem with the kids, it's more a problem with over protective parents. There was this great article about how the last generation should technically be dead according to modern safety laws.
5. http://www.tfw2005.com/news/data/upimages/4904880723027.jpg Here are some pictures of the trailer for Prime. Anyway, I'm glad there has been an official trailer release, it makes Prime's truck mode seem complete.
6. Well, I'll still be getting it. Not because it's starscream, but because it's an intricate transforming toy. The intricate transforming toy fan in me is still rather excited about this toy. However, the TFer fan in me is a tad disapointed with alot of the changes they have made.
7. Yikes, I was hoping for a low viz or realistically colored screamer. But as an alternative to a regularly colored one... This really is starting to look less and less like a transformer and more and more like a valk... Why not just replace the head with a more robotic one and call it the SS-1?
8. you should PM Kanata.
9. They are called Matshiro Jetfires. I spell that right? There are some with a painted macross symbol and some with just a sticker.
10. This is why I hide my collection out of sight. It is for my personal enjoyment and mine alone. Along with my european porn collection... (J/K) Seriously, I usually can judge who will find it cool and who will be baffled by it. So I'm selective about who I show my collection to.
11. The only thing I don't like is the crap on his hips. Everything else is a marked improvment over the original design.
12. That would be nice, if it wasn't for harmony gold having all the mercandising rights for that series world wide methinks
13. Actually my reaction when I heard Speilberg was set to produce was positive, I was thinking, wow, maybe he'll actually give the director chair to someone decent.... then my heart utterly sunk when I saw Bay's name attatched to the movie.
14. If you had a say, which of course, you don't, BUT if you did have a say what would it be? I'd vote Patlabor. Done up exactly like the votoms were done, with fuly detailed cockpits to fit GI-joe sized pilot figures. They could even make a little command car to go along with them. Also the 1st 3 varients would be easy and they could later sell upgrades for the reactive armor.
15. Before we can truly judge, we are going to have to see a real protosculpt. I would like to see if they could do something about the under belly though.
16. it looks alot better colored up
17. Did you get a replacement? How? One of my Zero has that stupid transit problem. I had no idea you could get a reaplcement. I guess I'll pass on the Garland. I never saw the show, OVA etc, but just to hear someone as carefull as Graham broke one virtually without touching it, really scares the krap out of me. It is sad, I was looking forward to get one of these. I loved the concept of having a full articulated fig fit within the transformed mecha. It turns out the articulated fig is not so articulated, and the mecha has bad construction parts.... Shall I say more? If there a second "reviewed" version of the Grarland I might buy it, but I don't know if there is even enough market for a second release. Other than that, all my Yammies are in perfect condition. Except for the tailfin antenae in my Zero.v 414259 I complained about it to my seller. Best way to get a replacement. I got mine from BBTS, who BTW are also willing to remove toys and inspect them for defects as long as you tell them what to look for. As for the Garland being fragile. I've transformed mine many times without breakage. The only problem I had was a badly glued shoulder restraint which was easily fixed with a drop of super glue.
18. Ah. I see what you mean. Still, when I look at my mecha I rarely admire their bums. Pretty as they may be
19. well, unless you plan to leave the intake covers off in battroid mode, it shouldn't make that big of a difference.
20. you could always use epoxy, that works for me, but you have to let it dry for 12 to 24 hours
21. I think with the release of the 19, a design radically different from the classic VF-1 mold, unlike the VF-0, we can be hopeful that we'll see some SV's, 11's and 21's.
22. I'm jealous! I think I know why Yamato hasn't made the SDF Macross. Because you'd only buy one! It's cool to have a squad of VFs, because there's squads of VFs in the show. But there's only one Macross in the series, so why buy more than one? You can also customize your own paint scheme for a valk, because that paint scheme could have existed somewhere in the UN Spacy forces. But it's hard to imagine there was another SDF somewhere, with it's own paint scheme, that we never heard about. Although...alternate Macross paint schemes would be cool. I dare someone to do a Minmay Guard SDF-1! Or an all red Miria! 413620 Well, they could do a movie and a tv version, though the mold differences would be significant.
23. Nah, but likely it will be PG-13 at most in the US.There were a number of crazy people who jumped on the Transformers bandwagon (there have been alot since 2004) that demanded that Transformers will suck unless it was rated R18 with explicit human violence. And sex. YES, inappropriate sex in a movie based upon a toyline sold to kids. You know, because all the 'True Fans' are adults now who can handle seeing Spike have sex with his girlfriend. Morons. 413590 As long as it's aimed to be at a similar level of maturity as say, the X-men movies, I'll be happy.
24. Studio Halfeye managed a integrated heatshield in 1/100 scale. Id didn't slide so much as it sort of flipped out. There were pictures a while back detailing the mechanism. here are the pictures http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...g_sep2001a2.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...g_sep2001a1.jpg
25. Has a rating actually been anounced for the transformers movie?
