  1. Cloth to cover the joints? Oh, now that just impresses me. I sincerely hope that the final product will be as good as I am hoping. I'll get one even if it breaks the $150 mark.
  2. Wow, that Beagle is looking amazing! I certainly hope that it turns out well. If so, it's the must-have of the 3 for me.
  3. Wow. The GI Joe lineup at Toyfair is infinitely more impressive to me than the Star Wars lineup. I've seen maybe 3-4 things in the SW booth which I'd buy, whereas I want it ALL in the GI Joe booth.
  4. Huh. Both the CM's and the Megahouse have interesting elements to each. I do wish that the MH was a bit taller in bike mode. It kinda reminds me of what I must have looked like when I was attempting to ride tricycles on the playground back when I taught preschool. My kids always thought it was hilarious. Where DO the handlebars on the MH go? I didn't see them reattached in the video. Anyway, are there any model or prototype pictures of the Beagle? I feel like I don't want to make a final decision until after I've seen it. (And yes, I did see the renders back on page 20.)
  5. Oh, I have watched the first episode so many times now and it just makes me more excited for what's to come. I have a few new questions/observations. 1. Is it Ozma, or Asuma (Azuma)? I just wasn't sure if the translation I saw was accurate. 2. When Ozma gives chase to the "redbug," why does it even bother hiding in the asteroids? It seems annoyingly impervious to all fire thrown at it so far. 3. Speaking of the "redbug," I wonder what happened to the other one? I don't recall seeing it get shot down, but I think all of the "hammerheads" were. 4. Does anyone know when the soundtrack for Frontier will be released? There's an anime convention here in NC in late May, and although it's expensive, I'd go if I thought there was a chance I could buy the soundtrack (or other merchandise) there. I figure it should be out by that time, but finding anything Macross related here in NC is a supreme rarity. 5. Anyone got a good scan (or other art) of Ozma's skull logo?
  6. Got a question. Has it been explained what SMS stands for? (If so, please forgive.) I couldn't help but wonder if it was something like Shinsei Military Systems. It'd help to explain why SMS has the newest fighters.
  7. Say, could someone please inform me as to the name of the music composer for Frontier? I am thoroughly enjoying the music so far and can't wait for it to come out on CD.
  8. Just watched it this morning - no less than 4 times. I am positively excited to see where this series will go. A few questions/observations: 1. How many episodes is this slated to be? 2. Do we know yet who has the license to produce merchandise? 3. When I first saw Ozma's armored VF-25, I couldn't help but be somewhat reminded of the Axelay. It's not a spot-on likeness, just a slight similarity in shape. 4. Monsters. Must. Die. I thoroughly despise them already.
  9. Can someone recommend to me a place where I might find information about all of the downloadable content? I specifically want to know the capabilities and differences between each of the planes. I haven't bought any yet, and I don't intend to unless I know what the heck I'm buying beforehand. Oh, wait a tick. Someone kindly pointed out to me that the Japanese AC6 page has almost exactly what I'm looking for. Change the content via the links on the left side.
  10. I have a vague recollection of this, but didn't someone here on the board mod their Japanese Starscream so that it could carry both the missiles and guns on the wings while in fighter mode?
  11. I have to say that while I enjoy the multiplayer, I am highly annoyed by the lack of detailed stats. I really want to see how many kills I had, how many times I was shot down, how many shots I fired, how many connected/missed, etc. I don't even know how I'm scoring the points I'm being given. Also, is there a chart or list out there which illustrates the stats for each plane? I'd really like to see how some of them compare to each other, and which weapons they can carry.
  12. As far as SNK games go, I've ALWAYS gone with Yuri, Ryo, and Robert. I've had more "come from behind" wins with Robert than perhaps any other character in any other fighting game I've ever played. For Capcom, I always enjoyed Guile, Charlie, and Captain America in MVC2. However, my very favorite team in MVC2 was Cable, Psylocke, and Sentinel. Good God does that team run wild over just about everything. If we were to pick the very best incarnations of any of these characters from any of their games and put them on one team, I'm going to say: 1. Street Fighter Alpha 2 Charlie 2. The King of Fighters '95 Robert 3. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Cable
  13. Graham, please be sure to tell them thank you for continuing to produce Macross toys. Even though some of them may be better received then others, the fact is that they are still Valkyries, and I still love seeing new ones come out. With that having been said: 1. Is there any remote possibility that Yamato might consider negotiating for the Macross 7 license? I don't know how reluctant Bandai may be to relinquish it, but they certainly don't seem to be doing anything with it. 2. I'd like to see more on the upcoming YF-21. 3. Any chance for a reactive armor for the VF-0?
  14. Is anyone still looking for the 08 Camaro Bumblebee? I happened across an extra one yesterday and would be happy to trade it. Y'all let me know?
  15. Indeed, there are at least two variants of the 5-packs of which I know. For instance, one Cobra pack has Storm Shadow doing his best attempt at a jumping split kick, while the other has him doing a lunging attack.
  16. Say hey, I'm right over in Raleigh! Perhaps we can help each other out - I know where to find Combat Squad wave 2. Also, the latest Commando wave has been appearing on and off on walmart.com over the past week. I got a Samurai Storm Shadow sent to my nearest store in less than a week's time and didn't have to pay a penny for shipping. Let me know if you'd like some hunting help.
  17. Wave 3 is indeed out! I scooped up all of them at a Target store here in NC. Firefly is amazing - up there with Beachhead as far as I'm concerned. My Zartan has a really bad facial paint job. His eyes are nothing more than little black beady dots. I think I may attempt to whiten his whole eye to look like the original. Very strange gun choice for Stalker... and the too light camo pattern is unusual looking. I'm keeping my eye out for the running change with the proper colors. Red Ninja is a surprise to me - I like it a LOT more than I thought I would. The sauce for the goose? Cobra Officers are shipping with this wave.
  18. I found all of wave 2 here in NC, of all places! We NEVER get new things this early, so I'm still in shock over it. I've been on a really lucky streak finding GI Joes here in NC, actually. I found not one but TWO silver cape Sigma Six Cobra Commanders last month. Beachhead is probably my favorite of the entire line as of now. Yes, I actually like him better than V1 Storm Shadow. Serpentor is growing on me, but Buzzer has been a huge surprise. Lady Jaye is pretty good, but the eyes on mine are a little bigger than probably should be. Still, her accessories are fantastic. Of course, out of all the figures to do something stupid with, I broke the left hand at the wrist of the Cobra trooper. Anyone have a spare Cobra trooper left hand they'd be willing to part with?
  19. If we're counting tanks from games, then I'm definitely going to say the Harkonnen Devastator from Dune II (and Dune 2000). Slow as molasses, but nearly unstoppable and with more firepower than anything else in the game. And if you manage to destroy one, you had better be a LONG way away from it 'cause it's going to leave quite a nasty hole in the world when it explodes. A very close second would be the GDI Mammoth Tank from Command and Conquer.
  20. *whew* After almost 2 weeks of no high speed internet, I finally got my 360 back on Live again last night. I was thrilled to download and play Puzzle Fighter. Anyone else into this game? If so, hit me up. I'm Silent Scope EX. I also tremendously enjoy racing in Forza 2, but have yet to run any ranked races. Also, does anyone have any experience with the XCM XFPS Pro adapter? Linky I have read a lot of trash about the original adapter not having the ability to adjust its mouse deadzone (a major no-no) and thus not being worth the money. This Pro version looks to have wheels which control the sensitivity of the X and Y axis deadzones, so I wonder if this is a good fix? I had the Smart Joy FRAG for the original Xbox and it was simply fantastic because it was customizable and cheap (~$30). This XFPS is neither (~$90)... but I utterly refuse to play Halo with a pad ever again. One clever person figured out that by connecting the XFPS to the 360, then connecting the PS2 version of the Smart Joy FRAG into the XFPS, and then connecting a mouse into the FRAG, you could completely solve the deadzone problems. If the Pro version is a solution unto itself, though, then I'd give it a shot.
  21. Say, has anyone seen these yet? I am very curious about their quality. They appear to be about the size of 3.75" action figures. They're reasonably priced, and each comes packaged in an alien agg. Hot Toys Aliens and USCM Snap Kits
  22. I am so curious as to how multiplayer will fare. With no countermeasures to speak of, one would think that the special weapons on each plane (particularly the short range high-maneuverability missiles - QAAM, was it?) would be exceedingly powerful. I'm already envisioning a Crimson Skies-type dogfight where you get shot down pretty regularly. I enjoyed Crimson Skies multiplayer immensely, but I hope AC6 is not going to work like that.
  23. Very nice work with Flint. The gloves do make him look substantially better. Now if only he didn't have that joint at midarm.
