I re-watched SDFM earlier this year. If Bandai sticks to the current accessory paradigm, we should only be offered an Armored accessory set. I believe that we didn't see Super Packs in the show until after Hikaru inherited Roy's VF-1S.

My Bandai HCM VF-1J that my father bought me back in 1985 is all kinds of shades of yellow. It hasn't been out of it's box for more than a hour in literally the last 30 years! It lives in my closet (two different closets) and I did play with it a lot for the first three years or so. It showed no signs of yellowing when I stopped playing with it. I'm afraid to completely transform it now as I'm afraid it will fall apart in my hands if I do.

Perhaps Bandai need to do something new for an accessory. How about something radically different! How about releasing a Misa in space suit figure complete with Riber's room so we can have Hikaru rescue her like in Bye-Bye Mars! Though I believe it will probably go as Silence the Cat said: This seems to me how Bandai does business in their DX line.

You could also try to look for a broken/damaged VF-0 to harvest parts.

If you go for the welding option keep in mind that when applying that much heat metal can warp, stretch, or shrink. Soldering and brazing is less heat, but rather then fusing the metal together (along with a secondary metal), it's more like gluing metal together with a secondary metal. Either process requires removing the existing paint and can warp the metal from the heating process. Just make sure you know what you are in for before deciding on a process. You could also use this opportunity to upgrade to a PF model.

As far as Destroids go, I'm guessing that we will see the Phalanx before the Tomahawk. Then maybe a blue Phalanx as a TWE.

So, having a lot of friends that ride motorcycles, there is a real concern that the helmet makes their head look enormous. I don't believe most people are able to completely get around this as you need room in the hard shell for padding. I do agree that the new pilot looks more aesthetically pleasing. The challenge is the balance between the two.

I find it a little odd that there are a lot more people with 2 left leg armor than there are with 2 right. You would figure that the distribution would be a bit more even.

The air brake looks a little small to me. Not too sure what I'd do with one. My display space is limited.

If you want to mimic the stands that occasionally come with HMR releases, then you would be looking for the Tamashii Trident stands or the Stage Act 5 stands. The Stage Act 5 stands come in 3 packs. I do not own any Trident stands but I believe they come as singles. The are both available in multiple colors.

I'm sure that this has been brought up before, but I don't believe a Hikaru VF-1J with super parts ever existed in SDFM. Roy's VF-1S with super parts and Hikaru piloting, yes. Regardless, I'd like to see a PF armored VF-1J largely because I got into this a year after it was last released. If it came with both TV and Movie heads and fixed pose hands; that would make me really happy.

Correct me if I'm wrong (as I am new to posting). Most of us lurkers who have recently signed up at Macross World due to the leg armor issue can't post on that thread due to not meeting the minimum post count.
