Doesn't have to be Yamato. Bandai could do a new 1/3000 SDF-1 just as well as rehashing the old. Imagine what we could see.... opening hangar door on the Daedalus with miniature destroids inside. Optional TV ARMD accessories. Opening panels to show the town inside? Lights and sound.
-
Hell yeah. I want the MII Phalanx more than just about any other destroid.

1/60 accessory packs: NATO/JASDF weapons, Foldo Boosta, VF-11 Chaser Rocket Booster, VF-11 Protect Armor, Ground Crews 1/60 VF-11B Ravens repaint 1/60 VF-19A Ravens repaint 1/60 VF-22 non-canon repaint (low-viz?) 1/60 VF-11B Milia repaint 1/60 VF-11B Max repaint (non-canon but always do M&M) One new sculpt: I have to admit the VF-4 is growing on me (despite never really being that fond of the design). My hope is that we'll see the Diamond Force VF-17D around summer with the Diamond Force VF-17S later on in the year

My only real complaint on the 11B is the ballistic/arm shield and how it falls off too easy. Why couldn't they have stuck with the method they used on YF-19? That one seems very sturdy and secure yet still lets you transform without it falling off. I'd probably add about the landing gear. Haven't tried real hard with a toothpick or anything but getting them landing gear out with just my fingers is impossible. Clearance with the gunpod also reminds me of 1/60 VF-1 v1. Line art be damned, give it a couple extra mm of length and locks so it can roll free and taxi and what not.

Yeah that's pretty bad. Don't mean to make light of your misfortune, but I couldn't help but laugh at the crooked head pic.

Of course, I REALLY like the idea of Toynami doing Invid mecha (5 packs of scouts, etc) and will almost certainly get at least one of their vinyl Regults to go with my Revos.
-
Colors for the MAIA are pretty gay. I like the idea of new repaints using the Shadow Alpha molds, particularly if they could tweak them to get rid of the arched back (my single biggest complaint). I'd like to see them get Shadow accurate shoulders, too and maybe minor retooling for non-canon applications (Elint/AWACS, etc) and repaints (Max Sterling's 'Shadow Skull Squadron' anyone?) as well as the drone. I've been close to getting a CM on occasion, but am holding out hope for a Shadow Beta.

Surprised there's no Mac client. Bout to start building a Core i7 rig to replace my core 2 duo. Would this thing even run on my old 3.4 P4 HT with 6800GT?

After rewatching SDF Macross, I kinda wish Bandai would redo the TV Macross, even if just a re-release of the original Takatoku . I like it's design and colors much better than the DYRL and the size. Ideally, we'd see a new sculpt to the same scale, but even a straight re-release of the original would satisfy me. Wish I hadn't wrecked the Matchbox I picked up on Clearance at KB Toys as a kid.

From Roy's dialog in Zero, I got the impression they were losing alot of their best pilots to the conflict.
-
It will be a mix of Gaga and the Crying Game.
-
I would probably be 3 or 4 and I don't have even have a v2 VF-1 yet.

The last few days it hasn't been drooping. Even whooshed around my home office just now and the Gamlin wing is staying up. I love the fighter mode so much on this thing, I haven't been changing back to Battroid (which is the only position I can display it in on my shelf right now, unless I do some rearranging). Nowhere to put the VF-11B right now, either....
-
One of the wings wants to droop sometimes, but my Gamlin is still my favorite Yamato valk.

Don't forget the US 7th Fleet (approximately 350 aircraft and 50-60 ships including a CVN - currently USS George Washington and Carrier Air Wing 5) I'll be really disappointed if there aren't more F-22's, though. I still dream of the SuperBug getting replaced by a YF-23 based NATF. I wouldn't at all be discouraged if the F-35 is delayed and the USAF gets a few more F-22's (100 would be nice!) to compensate.

The nanobots brought him back. I was most disappointed in the Duke actor and the Wayans Brother. Former came across as TOO wannabe bad ass while the latter tried too hard to be funny. I loved Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes, even with the deviation from Marvel. I liked the Baroness with the dark hair but she lost alot of her attraction when she went blonde. I actually did like the Cobra Commander arc, though the Rex part was a bit silly. Interested to see if they'll have more Mind Bender (wish they had called him "Dr Venom" or something instead). Love the first Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes fight (though didn't get why Snake gave up and wasn't pursuing him all the way to the glider).
-
I'd rather Bandai them from T-REX since they'd see wider distribution, volume, and probably lower price.
-
Having them on the edges canted out is very reminiscent of YF-23 (and thence to Macross YF-21/VF-22).
-
Looks like about an hour today? Made me double post. Wasn't sure if it was local so tried on my N97 and then iPhone
-
Double Post. That could perhaps let Yamato get into a whole realistic 1/60 aircraft skill. I would hope to see F-22, YF-23, F-16 , F-18, etc as well as various JASDF (F-2, F-15J, etc). Would make ground crews all the more likely, certainly.

Given the NATO/JASDF weapon load outs shown in the Variable Fighter Master File, I'd like to see: 8 x AIM-9X Sidewinder, each removable from their 4 paired pylons 4 x AIM120D AMRAAM, each removable from their 4 individual pylon 12 x Mk82 Snakeye, each removable from their 4, triple mount pylons 4 x ASM-2 Type-93 air-to-ship missiles, each removable from their individual pylon 4 x GBU-10C Paveway II, each removable from it's own pylon with folding winglets. 6 x GBU-12 Paveway II, (shown on model and description but not shown in schematic diagram), with 2 triple mount pylons ASM-1, AIM-9M, and AAM-3 also in the book are anachronistic, inferior to the above IMO, though I wouldn't mind if they also appeared in the set. Particularly for the ASM and AIM-9, appear too similar for the detail in a 1/60 version to be appreciated. Not really interested in tanks when we gots OTM fusion engines. I'm thinking the next possible toys from Yamato could be (non-transforming) UN Spacy F-14X (and maybe Anti-UN MiG-29?). They could re-use some of these same missiles (can't recall if Shin's F-14 had Phoenix missiles or not?)

That's where Galaxies had great potential in letting the clans and battlefields carry out the Galactic Civil War, or stay neutral in the fringe if they didn't care or didn't want to get involved. On top of the great player based economy and such. Instead they trashed what was good. Ah well.

FURIOUS OVER NEW CONAN (Conan the Barbarian remake)
Uxi replied to Agent ONE's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Heh, I remember watching Moeller crying as Conan and busted up laughing. Conan is just too mature to be on anything other than HBO or Showtime, perhaps. -
The computer and electronics super geek thread

I like my MBP but it's had alot of problems. There's the lingering rumors of nVidia GPU failure. Maybe it's nVidia's fault, maybe it's not, but I didn't buy an nVidia laptop, I bought an Apple. Their bumping up the warranty for what seems a design defect doesn't seem sufficient. Then there's the paint that came off of about a dozen of my keys. Had one battery replaced under Applecare, now the replacement is dying a year later (out of Applecare)... -
