  1. Transformers had storage compartments or pegholes to store weapons and accessories. GI Joe could hold or store all their weapons. Centurions were walking storage figures. I never played with TMNT figures so don’t know about those. Most my Super Robot toys had built in gimmicks and or storage built into the figure.
  2. Seriously, one of my complaints, if any is that toys these days are not as playable as back in the day. Part of it is all the extra parts that have no built in storage. Back in the day, most toys had gimmicks built in or at least a place to put all the parts that came with the toys. I get the tradeoff they are going for these days for better looks but when they provide parts that are mostly hollow anyways, might as well make use of that space. I would get a lot more enjoyment out of my Valks if I had access to all the option parts within a compartment on the figure or in this case, the Super Parts. Without storage space, I always store extra parts in the original box and that means I have to dig the box out every time I want to use the parts and that means I rarely use the extra parts. Yes, I could keep all the parts out and store them elsewhere but I just don't like doing that and again, would rather have parts store with the figure they go with.
  3. I'm looking forward to see how much fits in the empty space. If there is enough room to fit all the hands and intake covers, I want more hollow space in all the future add on parts!
  4. Brilliant! I keep hoping for more diorama and other parts that have built in storage. That was my #1 request in the recent Star Wars SHF survey too. I wonder if they did it on purpose for that reason and if you can actually fit a set or more hands in there? Nice! Free defective Valks is still free Valks.
  5. You should be good. These are all second hand items that they have at the store indicated on the listing. It just means they will grab it to confirm it is there.
  6. Agree. Basically I’m saying I don’t think he is just signing off on stuff blindly for a check.
  7. Fair enough. Personally, I'd be surprised if any Macross artist ever made a truckload of money in their entire lifetime from the franchise. Well, I guess maybe in Yen, it's highly possible.
  8. True, but do you think Bandai or anyone else is dumping a truckload of money off at Kawamori's house to get him to approve something against his artistic integrity?
  9. The why can all be answered easily: When it comes to preordering DX Valks, you get them from wherever you can, as fast as you can or you don't get them. NY and AJ are my preferred shops so I was lucky to get those first two from them. I didn't get Hikaru's 1S not because I didn't want to but because I wasn't able to. There is nothing casual about getting these preorders in. You have to be up at the time the preorders open and refresh (multiple tabs and/or devices) constantly until you secure one. Luckily, NY and AJ have solid websites that don't crash during the process so along with having the best prices, that is part of why they are my favorite shops. The bottom line is if you want one, you have to be up and it is your best bet to try all the shops to increase your chances. The only time you don't have to worry and can casually order the next morning (or sometimes about a month before release) is for Tamashii Web Exclusives because they have set preorder periods that will stay open for an allotted amount of time. There have been a few exceptions to the TWE releases but for the most case, I wait until the last minute which is about a month before release to order those from NY. Only time I got screwed with that method was on the VF-31A.
  10. I didn't get the 1S on preorder night (or at all for sure yet) but the 1J cost me $174 shipped from Amazon Japan. The Max 1A was about the same from Nippon Yasan.
  11. Yeah, the yellowing doesn’t bother me at all so if you were to trash any of that, I’d take it. Especially the GBP, Ghost and Stand.

    Bye Yamcadia?

Haha, yeah. If anyone is dumping their crappy Yamacadias, please give me a call and I’ll be happy to clear that trash out for you. I won’t even charge a fee.
  13. Lol! I’ll never unsee this.
  14. Sweet!
  15. Awesome, thanks! I was trying the wrong screw up top.
  16. Thanks again! Care to show pictures in case I decide to try again?
  17. Thanks! I see that one but I can't get it to budge. It doesn't seem related to the one I removed so if that screw deeper in is what releases the foot, I probably didn't need to remove the first screw or at least do it later when the foot is out and easier to reach it. Either way, it doesn't matter since I can't get the screw out so I might just go back to my original plan of not dealing with it. I can barely tell a difference unless I pull the ankle down and look inside it anyways.
  18. Can anyone here who has replaced the foot at the ankle instead of the whole leg tell me how they removed the foot? I unscrewed the one screw at the ankle joint but it seems like there is something on the two sides of the slider still holding the foot on where the screw came out of. Thanks for any help or guidance!
  19. So after shipping between NY and HLJ is about $60+ difference. I hate giving out free loans but if my free loan saves me over $60, which is well over 10% over a few months, I'll deal with it. Mine is paid for and I know I got the best price so I'm all good.
  20. Using a no fee card through PayPal is like double bagging
  21. If I’m not mistaken, this was an Arcadia exclusive and not everyone was offering it. I never bought directly from Arcadia before but I thought I remembered something about most shops taking money up front for this and there was a surprise that NY allowed pay later.
  22. That will be an amazing pair for any collection!
  23. Nice pics and setups @Saburo! Always love seeing the LEK customs! That guy is the $#1t!
  24. They all look fantastic!
  25. Don’t want to get too into this again but I typically save around $20 or more on shipping per order. That adds up pretty quick for me and more than covers any insurance I would ever need. Toys are what ease my mind, not worrying about when or if I will get them.
